I enjoyed the first two episodes. I liked that there is time to digest what is going on and I liked the acting too. The leads are, in my view - awesome
Yo. Can you get beyond Victoria's acting? Should I start this drama now or not?I know her acting. I've watched…
In my view, Victoria is rocking this role - the first in a very long time. The chemistry is there too. As for the fight sequences, they are very, very good. The moments re her “spear sisters in law” are awesome. Joe Chen as the Princess Elder adds a whole new dynamic to the show. I like the story too. It’s worth watching eps 3 and 4 and then trying out some more.
At the halfway point I can say this: Love’s Ambition is a great show and Xu Yan deserves so much better! Hao Ming deserves the biggest slap down of all time!!! Zhao Lu Si is equaling Liu Yi Fei with her performance 🤩
When she asks “what do you think love is,” my thoughts go to what I think should be the next line: “what you and I have now.” This was a class show, with good acting, writing and growing relationships. Yes, it could have been longer. Another season would be possible. But, at the end of the day - one of the best shows for 2025. I only marked it down because in the middle there were some logic lapses. However, a very good watch and worth watching again.
Ep 9 got to show the bringing together of all the series threads so far: humanity as the true justice, the reality of the second couple, the appreciation the first couple for each other, the unveiling of the real plan re Yullim’s future. The next three episodes should be a cracking watch!
Ep 9 - a fabulous episode, so considered, so respectful, so well acted. One of the best couples ever. NKM has the Midas Touch and JYB is beyond amazing - a great expose on how to bring a character to life.
My thoughts at the end of four episodes: it’s a nice drama. The ML is a charming dufus and the FL is radiant and enjoys stirring the ML. The second couple is great too. I think this show has come along at the right time to make up for a number of costume dramas of late that could have been very good but lost their way very quickly.
This show is the bees knees 🤩 Direction, writing and acting - superb. Not only that, we get a really good insight in to how a Korean movie is pulled together. Da Eum’s dad realising he needed to stop putting her in a box = awesome. Je Ha working so hard to protect her while being deadpan = eye emoting acting at its finest. Da Eum = simply the performance of the year. Every actor is making sure their performance counts.
