After two episodes: a cute, fun and entertaining show. We have a brewmaster empath who makes boutique beer that has finally met his match in the one person who is about to turn his whole world upside down. Kim Se Jeong has quickly made this show her own 🤩🤩🤩
I enjoyed the first episode very much. It was a good balance between establishing our characters, the issues around cosmetic surgery and the mysterious backstory.
What I really like about The Judge From Hell is it sticks to its mythology really well and doesn’t introduce the over the top cray cray that goes down a rabbit hole that we have seen in some other shows such as Island (although I liked it and it was a real hoot). That was a great ending to Ep 10!
I enjoyed this show overall. Unlike some other watchers, I started to enjoy it from the third episode onwards. And, as some have said here, it did bring a smile to my face while watching it. I wasn’t too fond of eps 9 and 10 but we got there in the end!
It’s fantastic to see Park Shin Hye as Judge Kang. She is totally owning this role and is hitting it out of the “park.” Finally, a role that she gets to show us how good she really is 🤩

Jeremy is a fantastic actor. Sadly, he retired earlier this year as he wasn’t happy with the roles he has been given in more recent times. He has an amazing deep voice - but they started dubbing him. If you ever have the time, take a look at how amazing he was in Be My Princess 😊
Well, after four episodes, I’m really enjoying DNA Lover. It’s a hoot with smatterings of more serious elements thrown in. Si Won and In Sun really do work well together.
Ep 13 - another unbelievably good episode that requires some level of appreciation regarding how violent crimes are dealt with under Korean law along with how the culture of family culture transcends the individual.
Ep 12 - as much as it was distressing, this was an amazing episode - Kdrama at its finest. The acting superb, the interactions were conveyed so well, a menacing portrayal that was believable with heart stopping and breath holding moments. I need what happens next resolved right now!

@LA_Drama Fan. After episode 32, I didn’t watch BAMR for two weeks. I then caught up on the next four episodes and really enjoyed them. It was like a different show. Even eps 37 and 38, despite the roller coaster that started yet again, had some good aspects. The last four episodes have very few redeeming elements.
I think the writer is teasing us. There are nods to other shows all over the place and certainly her own e.g. YLAG and Blow Breeze. Afterall, she gave us a cheeky reprieve from the possibility of Pil Sung ending up with amnesia as a result of being run over 😂
There are many popcorn moments in this show, reminiscent of how Scarlet in WWW, while watching KDramas, lapped up every moment.
Show certainly has makjang elements and when it goes there regarding Jin Dan and Do Ra’s mum, it becomes makjang on steroids.
The light relief moments work for me. Writer Kim had the line of the series in episode 42 “seriously, those two want to make me swear.” Although, Grandma consistently has some great lines too. She is in the running for my best supporting actor award for this year.
So, here I am yet again deciding what I should do. I am tending towards calling it a day 🤔

@LA_Drama Fan you raise a very salient point. One of the reasons I have kept watching this show is because of Ma Ri’s character and performance. I was intrigued by the fact of how an actress can keep going and turn in a worthy performance when faced with very unpleasant plot lines. It is, as you point out, a very good performance.
As for the Alzheimers grandma, we have seen how, in recent episodes, her use of comedy has been an effective counterpoint to the makjang performances of many of the other characters. Her role of Cupid might just save the show. Anyway, those scenes between her and PS have been a delightful respite for a few minutes.
Although I started out ffwd certain moments during the last four episodes, I found playing Sudoku allowed me to keep an eye on the show while also achieving good game outcomes.
I just hope the preview for what happens next is in fact, a big, red, herring - anyway, I guess I am committed to at least watching the next two episodes. After that, who knows…
Ep27 - I was enjoying this episode until we ended up on the same old band wagon, or was it riding the same old carousel, no - in fact we actually entered the JD/BMJ twilight zone! I found myself starting to fast forward through their moments.
Surely, writer Nim could have picked a different path for the current narrative. But, as mjcsfla1 says, I can’t wait to watch the next episode, anyway. I really want to see the leads be successful together. And for those who think the grandma is terrible etc - watch a Thai drama 😉

I agree with you 💯% I quite like Lloyd - they didn’t waste time on getting to the fact he is a decent person. NGR is doing a great job as Young Ok. Also, YO’s back story has been done very well too.
The final case was very good. The chief’s comment after the special promotion: “You guys are amazing, you persevere like weeds” - lol. Overall, Crash was a full on ride with interesting cases, very good character back stories and even factual information regarding the real life cases and road rules in South Korea. It seems there could be a second season - show deserves it 🤩
So, we are at the half way point. I thought ep 25 was a decent episode and I enjoyed the cliff hanger - creating a book end episode - PS should have got a few more hits in on both occasions.
However, the preview for ep 26 looks like we will be off on another JY roller coaster 🎢 Mind you, previews are rarely what they seem. And ISH really is hamming it up beautifully as JY.
