Ending was not sad, villain out, but just in typical cdrama fashion, ending was : ups, we ran out of time!

Hi! Well, it starts with love triangles but it gets solved on its own, since mostly everyone is just having crushes, but this is not a romance centered cdrama (romance is like only 10%, outwitting the enemy like 70%), it's more like about childhood friends finding their path to adulthood, and about friendship. At the beginning it was heavy on war scenes, later it was more about character development. I assume the target audience is teenagers. There's many love lines, but it's shown in a very family friendly way, mostly hugs, and rarely any kisses and the scenes are few. This is a cute light drama. About the ending, I still need to watch the last episodes, will be done today 😉

Edited: "Episodes 5-10 were amateur level script, lots of characters acting randomly for the sake of the plot, but still couldn't drop it, the scenarios, photography, costumes and pretty actors looking cool and playing at being warriors kept me going. This was one of those works that are very hard to do a live action adaptation, since many scenarios that artists can get away with in novels or manhuas; actually don't fit in dramas morally, or aren't realistic, like a small person's fist sending flying many strong people at once, or lack of budget for the war scenes, etc., but at least they got right the visuals. Ep15-end got better since it was less war centered, the plot was less complicated, and the characters started to show growth!
8/10 because it was a feel good drama, it has its memorable parts, will never forget the Lyan princess and Hao Du's smile, they were the scene stealers!."

That's what I thought after watching 10 episodes, then 20, then finishing, but I am glad I didn't drop it, because here I am, rewatching the drama right after I finished, this is like the first time I ever rewatched a drama, and honestly after 20 episodes this still didn't stand out that much, but after finishing it and rewatching knowing everything, it's actually fun to watch again carefully, paying attention to the details I missed when I watched it the first time, even my opinion of the characters is changing 🥺 I am changing the rating to 9.5/10 because the drama as a whole is brilliant. It isn't perfect, has it's embarrassing writing moments, but still is has a lot of creativity, the writer showed storytelling that is not typical of cdramas, (like the relationship of the main leads) and also good values that deserve this rating. Also I'm adding this drama to my list of favorites because I got attached to many of the characters 😍This a drama made to be rewatched!

When Hao Du smiled for the first time after 30 episodes 😭😍💗Give this actor a main role, please 🤩

This writer is taking me by surprise, this script is nothing like the typical cdramas, where the woman cross dress but still acts like a woman, here FL is really her own gender, not bound for man or woman limitations.

I thought this drama was before MLgot married with all the kissing scenes but no, it seems this drama was an exception , 👀🙈

First drama where the leads are almost dying every episode that I don't even feel sad anymore 🤷‍♀️ Should change the title to revival game, this time the writers killed the cast and brought them back until it lost all meaning 😑 But at least is entertaining until the end, 8/10

I was wondering why they always made such a big deal of skin deep wounds, like even with all their powers even a small cut needed so much care, now I know. Wow. But still not sorry for her, she is lucky to even be alive, no more like even that is too good for her, she killed and tortured so many beings.

The writer was too greedy with this drama, too many genres mixed up, but at least the actors could show off their acting, I cried like a baby even though the plot was obvious, because the acting was that good! I was very into the drama the whole time. 8/10😊 It's a drama I can recommend 💟

I love the cast and the plot is interesting, but its only 12 episodes and I'm already so tired of the secretary, if her character was out of the picture I would continue😑

I saw a comment, and it was true, even if you already know the whole plot, and keep reading the comments beforehand to prepare yourself for the sad parts, it still is hard to watch 💔 but it is so well written and executed and beautiful that you can't help it but keep watching T^T

I gotta admit, I was not planning to watch this drama because I don't like modern cdramas, I don't like second parts, It sounded ridiculous to watch a romance drama of 30 something old actors not kissing, but...I watched the first season...and needed some healing after that sad ending...and here I'm, already half-way of the drama...and...I love it🥲💗
As a stand-alone modern cdrama, it is nothing to write home, BUT! If you watched the first part, and understand the concept of reincarnation, that they are going to face the same struggles, that the people who they had good and bad fate with will show up again, but that their suffering will be rewarded with their biggest wish, wah. Everything is so wholesome, so logical, so romantic, so special, so meaningful, and then, everything is working out!
I am so happy to be watching this masterpiece, and if watched in order, this is just a season long happy ending ladies and gentlemen!, I mean, in the first life, they never had anything, nada, they were more like family for a long time and briefly, a deep admiration😤, here, from the moment they met, every second, they have loved each other, they are always lovers. When they are separated, they are not worried about dying in a horrible war, and they are doing for each other the things the other one did in the past life,(for example in the past life, Chen was the one guiding Shiyi, showing her the world, teaching her, pampering her, giving her a safe place. In the second life, Shiyi is the one doing the same for Chen, he was so lonely before meeting her, but after they met now he stopped being lonely). Every episode is meaningful, beautiful, like a reply of a very long love letter and wow. My heart feels so full, thank you writers and all the crew❤

I like ML way of thinking, there's no regret in his dictionary, you choose a path and never look back, just keep fighting until the end. He doesn't waste time overthinking

It's hard to watch the characters from the palace, all of them are snakes, even the emperor ,kneeling and weeping in front of his mother like a puppy and next he is asking his uncle to get married, have a son and give him as a hostage so that he can trust his savior, and even taking his right hand too. The worst. ML should ve just stayed away from the capital for good and let the snakes fight each other

I don't mind watching a drama like this every 3 months! We need to stop the patriarcal grooming system of doom. And you can see how women that are favored in the traditional system are the ones criticizing feminism the most. It's sad, but that is grooming for you, women are women's greatest enemy. Sad.

I see... well, it's true that while he is the bringer of death literally and pretty scary and evil, well, he does look like the coolest character ever, and young kids might get fixed on that part instead... hum... well definitelly this is not for young children. All cdramas are so full of bullying, violence, misoginity, mature topics, etc, that this one totally went over my head.

Of course, this drama is not romance focused, so it will not appeal to everyone, but it is unique, and creative. It finally shows a drama where women are helping each other instead of fighting each other. A game where you have to crush others in order to succeed is wrong in the first place. This drama is showing that we need to change our point of views, women don't need to fight for Men's favors, women can be happy themselves, and if men and women strop trying to win over each other, but work together then there's when we will finally reach a golden era of civilization and that is the idea that tradicionalists don't want women to know, since they are obsessed with being on top of others

Wow, poisoning the mind of young kids? What part could it be? Using the male as the punching bag instead of the female character? or what part?

I have seen many comments on cdramas that their government censors scenes , I guess this is done over the final cut just before airing, that's why its always like this
