I'm giving it a pass, but he really needed to earn her trust first and then ask permission to be her day-and-night shift protector after he confessed.

Super happy to know he is expanding his range to BL. I also worried signing with a US talent agency would whisk him away from KDrama land, but he's with Korean management too. He's now juggling scripts and passports. 😁

Guys is it just me or you guys too felt sad and pity for wanning
Death is the grossest solution. I pity her because it robbed her of the opportunity to ever change or feel remorse but also because she felt misery of the worst kind before she died. Lack of love is what led to her sociopathic behavior and he rubbed his hate in her face with disgust and malice. How did he expect a violent person to react when shoved into hell like that? Such a brainless man.

For the lead couple, yes.

Regardless of anyone's tragic background, I find it impossible to support a relationship with someone so willing to torture and murder for revenge. These are unacceptable under any circumstances. Perhaps you think differently.
On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2 Jun 14, 2024
Ling Bu Yi's warped sense of justice never improved. It's ironic that Shao Shang, a genius, wasn't disturbed by his readiness to choose violence over cunning. "Bloodbaths are okay, just don't leave me hanging." 2/10

The style distracted me enough to pull me out of the story. It was too unexpected for a Song Dynasty drama unless there are trends I'm ignorant about.

‼️‼️HONESTLY! I genuinely don’t understand how so many people love this show…. I’m on episode 11…
Not to mention she behaved younger than her age so the maturity gap was even wider, and he still simultaneously mistreated and fell in love with her.

Why is the rating so low?
We see more political drama at the palace than interaction between the leads. The story feels intentionally draggy with powerful people cowering unrealistically.

Title Missing Crown Prince Spoiler
Keeping Myung Yoon in the dark about her father's evildoings for this long is far too contrived. CP knows she's ignorant about everything and still doesn't tell her. I thought that a character as overpowered as her might need to be nerfed like this to prevent her from resolving the plot too quickly, but the preview of tomorrow's wedding episode doesn't seem to support this theory. She looks like she's dragged along, which either means she's not as clever I hoped or she still doesn't know. Then again, she might decide with the princes that saving the King from the Dowager Queen in this way is her best option.

no hate to the drama, it seems well loved and well received -- but, what's the problem with every kdrama writers…
It's almost like these writers are doing internship thriller scenes so that they can get hired to do fulltime thriller as their real passion. Or maybe they think romance needs to be balanced with darkness to satisfy as many viewers as possible.

Love the happy ending! I still feel kinda sorry for Sumin. As a young kid, she didn't choose the life she lived.…
Not receiving adequate care and sometimes also psychiatric treatment is true for most villains in real life as well. There are a few who are born sociopaths like Su Min who need to be trained to live in society. They lack the ability to feel remorse and as with any physical condition, it's not their fault. She could have been a high functioning sociopath if she received the help she needed and none of this would have happened.

Person Ok Taec Yeon
Taec Yeon has signed with a US talent agency. Is this the last we'll see of him in K-Drama land? Does anyone know the pattern with actors who do this? While I'm curious to see the Hollywood roles he takes on next, I'm bummed at the possibility of not watching his skills develop in 16-episode format. But I suppose it must be quite the financial balm for an actor to be part of a 5-year long American series.😄 Fewer auditions are nice too.

I guess this is solely because of preferences. Most people on MDL (or generally) watch Kdrama for the romance,…
I'm into the genre and still rate some a 6. The problem is users have different rating systems. My friend weighs entertainment value more heavily than me. If he enjoyed it and it offered what he expected, then it rates around an 8. I rate on how it compares with all other series across genres, taking 5 as the middle-of-the-road "watchable" point. Because of this, his romcom ratings are usually 2+ points higher than mine even when we have the same complaints. Consider rating romcoms when you do finish them. The adjusted average would help folks like me.
