Yes. I never watched Better Call Saul because the ml was a crooked lawyer.
This has nothing to do with her sex and everything to do with the fact that she is a reprehensible, morally bankrupt lawyer whose actions brought her profession into disrepute and inadvertently led to her father's death. If she hadn't paid off the witness, her father would likely not have needed the researcher's evidence nor would the researcher have endangered their life to provide it becauae the witness evidence would have been admitted in court instead. She's no different to the people that killed her father. Hell, if her father hadn't been killed, she would likely have turned out like the older female lawyer.

She's a dirty lawyer who didn't care when her client was offing people until they came for her father. I'm up to ep 5 and unless she comes clean about her dishonest actions, I don't see myself warming up to her character.
Didn't expect to come out of this disappointed ?. Chen Kun and Zhou Xun acted their asses off but the plot, character development, motivations and conflicts were so shallow that it dragged the entire movie down.
2/3 into the drama and barely any development in the main leads relationship. His relationship with the Song saintess is even more annoying. This is someone that's conniving, and tried to kill him and his family multiple times, yet for some obscene reason he cares for her. It's illogical. Who wrote this script?
So this was a badly written but enjoyable watch. A lot of the characters actions and motivations made no sense and there were so many plot holes and abandoned storyline. Also, the FL lack of trust in the ML really left a bad taste and by the end, I really didn't care if they had a happy ending together or not. The ML deserved better than her. Overall. I enjoyed it, particularly the beginning.
I'm on ep 36 and I am pissed off! If I was Xu Jin, I'll never EVER have anything to do with Fu Rong again! How the hell can she think he killed her dad??? She's actually a despicable character. She has little trust in people she claims to love and is quick to think the worst of them. At this stage I'm hating watching the rest of the series. Good thing iQiyi released the whole thing because I'm pretty sure i would have dropped it next week.
