Is this really getting more than one season? I've just finished episode 19 and I feel like it will wrap up nicely in the next two episodes. Could somebody link me to a source as 2 more seasons just seems a little unbelievable.
Currently watching episode 20 and I was just wondering if his feelings for Sese are genuine? They seem to be but it's a little frustrating watching them and confusing as he didn't seem that interested at the start of the drama and not a lot of time has passed since he returned to the Palace.
I am so curious about the real reason why her mom killed her dad. I heard this is a remake of a movie; anybody…
When you say remake the only movie I can think of is something called Addicted but if it was it would be a loose telling as the brother who would be Seo Hwan would pretend he was his brother to get the wife to fall in love with him :') It's more of a thriller than a romance but the brother who is in a coma was also a race car driver.
Episode 13 was one of the most suspenseful episodes of the whole show!!!!! I think I stopped breathing half way…
I was thinking the exact sane especially when he had the flashback of his dad. I was sitting there thinking "The writer is really going down this road??" but the preview made his intentions clear :)
This drama completely takes you by surprise. I honestly thought I had this drama mapped out. I thought it would have zero romance and Do Hyun Soo was 100% a sadistic psychopath. I'm only 5 episodes in out of 16 and so far I can see that he does have some feelings for his wife/child and I think its something that we're going to delve deeper into as the episodes go by.
In the credits they showed a few sneak peeks of future scenes and theres one where shes angry and you can see how hurt he is. You can see the turmoil on his face. This is not a man who is purely using his wife as a prop. He genuinely cares for her. I could see it in the way he looked at her in a previous episode/flashback where they were in the rain. The look he gave her wasn't for her to see which can only mean it was genuine and I think he was surprised in himself that somebody could bring that side out.
Of course I've only seen 5 episodes and I could be way over my head but so far it's pretty clear that Do Hyun Soo had nothing to do with his father's serial murders. I would like to say he had nothing to do with the Village Foreman but at the moment it's a little foggy as not a lot has been mentioned about that and there was the scene of him acting exhilarated after 'killing' him. One thing is clear though... his sister was present.
Theres something fishy about the sister but I dont want to jump to obvisous conclusions that she was an accomplice and Do Hyun Soo was just a young kid who has physiological/social problems and he was just prime bait compared to his sister who was a young, attractive 19 year old at the time. Things can change drastically over the upcoming episodes and something might change my mind completely where I'll go back to my original thoughts on this drama/character but for now the writer is taking me on a different journey and I like it.
I'm probably part of the minority but I actually loved the Attack on Titan movies. I have both of them on Blu-Ray steelbook because I had to collect them :) The second was a little weird... I must admit but I was very impressed with the first movie. A lot of anime/manga to live actions can be terrible but I would say this is one of the better ones. This is coming from a Attack on Titan fan :)
I saw the news yesterday on Facebook and for a moment when I saw his photo I thought it was a new drama/film announcement until I read the title. I was shocked and this rarely ever happens (only happened once before) but I ended up crying over somebody I like but have never met/known personally. My thoughts go out towards his family and friends. R.I.P <3
So he may not be the serial killer right? She will only be suspicious of him.I just want to have them a happy…
"I just want to have them a happy ending " If they do continue their marriage in the end (highly doubt it) I don't think it can still be classed as a happy ending. As far as the teasers/description goes hes either a serial killer or has the tendencies to become one. The amount of endings this drama could have are endless.
1. She could never find out, continues her marriage to a serial killer (I doubt that ending) 2. She could get the chance to reveal the serial killer but decided not to open that door as she doesn't want to destroy her family image and is in denial. 3. She finds out, continues to live with him but is in denial. I can actually imagine the perfect way the last scene would play out. They're in the house. He's just about to leave to take his daughter to school. He looks back at her and she smiles as if everything is normal but the screen focuses on her face and although shes still smiling you can see in her eyes that shes dying inside (screen gets darker as it focuses on her expression). 4. Kills him 5. Finds out and plays it by the book (locks him up) 6. He kills her 7. He disappears.
Theres many ways it can end but none of them will be happy.
I have been watching long family dramas for many years. I think I have about 4 (completed) on my belt which isn't a big number but because they're long and require a lot of commitment. Some can leave you feeling sour after spending countless hours while others are so rewarding.
One of my favourites is Twinkle Twinkle, the romance isn't spectacular like 'My Father is Strange' or 'The Wang's Family' but the drama does everything else right. The pacing is perfect because one of the faults I find in long dramas is always the pacing. They always seem to get it right for the first 40 episodes but then the last 10-15 always take a big dive in boresville. You end up wondering why they couldn't have just made it 40 episodes to start with. It also has a intriguing plot which is carefully planned to map out every episode. There's no "Ahhh so this is the random plot line they decided to add in to extend the drama".
Dramas I like: Gloria: My first ever family drama and I was blown away by the lead couple, the characters and the general setting. I need to re-watch this for good memories but with a child under one my time is very limited :')
A Thousand Kisses: I mainly stood by this drama for the main couple. This one took a major dive in the last 15 or so episodes as the main couple's screen time is severely cut due to the turn of the story. Within 10 episodes I think they shared 20 minutes screen time.
The Wang's Family: This drama had one of the most perfect couples but the drama told their story far too quickly. They literally met, dated, broke up, got back together and then married within 30-35 episodes out of 50 episodes. I was literally bed bound and my eyes were stuck to my screen for the first 30 episodes while their romance was going on. However after they get married their scenes drop severely and to be quite frank I didn't really care about the other stories. I think that's one of the things you need to factor in to truely enjoy a family drama. You need to enjoy everything or at least 90% of the stories.
Family's Honor: I literally have 4 episodes left but it's been 7 years since I last watched it. However I remember those 50/54 episodes very fondly. It's something I need to go back to.
True... But we don't know what's the nature of his relationship with his fiance or the reason he's engaged or…
Hahahaha!!!
" Lol why do you assume he is cheating? " I have laid out two scenarios. I would say assume isn't the right word because to me that would mean I've decided he is cheating. If you clearly read my messages properly you will know that I think its a possibility but the woman he slept with being his fiancee is also possibility which wouldn't make him a cheater.
Maybe youre right because I cant stand people who try and bend the laws to their way because they think they can.
I wont be commenting further as I would like to enjoy the rest of my night after a long day of parenting. Bye.
True... But we don't know what's the nature of his relationship with his fiance or the reason he's engaged or…
Again I didnt mention the female lead. Seriously -_-. The female lead didnt even cross my mind when typing the message. I meant his present day fiancee whoever she is. You said "as long as he doesent eventually two time" and I responded with my message because he might be cheating on his present day fiancee whoever she is or the woman hes sleeping with is his fiancee. Not a lot is known.
True... But we don't know what's the nature of his relationship with his fiance or the reason he's engaged or…
I didnt say he was two timing the female lead because like you said they're not together (thank god) You jumped to conclusions. The original comment was about his stance on his engagement. In episode 5-6 he was seen having a sexual relationship with a woman. She is either his fiancee (sexually active with her) or she is somebody else (two timing his fiancee... arranged marriage or not).
Things that made me sure there's no body swap:- on ep 3, Soo Hyuk had a dream where the FL walking on the snow…
"Another theory, is it just me or the show may be hinting that JB might be GC's father Son?"
I would have to disagree. JB was born in the 90s. I think it was 1998. The feeling I had was that Gi Chuls dad died a long time before Gi Chul who died in the 80s.
hmm so did i understand this wrong.. didnt the father prosecutor tell kim soo hyuk that he hanged Ji chul years…
I am 100% certain Jong Bum didn't kill the woman. My bet is on the restaurant owner. She probably lost her child and after overhearing the woman it would have set something off within her. It would be ridiculous for the police to have him as a main suspect for a murder he actually committed this early in the show. It wouldn't take long for them to find out the truth. Also what did the prosecutor mean by hanging Ji Chul... Lies.
