In my point of view, this is one of best costume dramas in 2023. Ma Tian Yu, Angelababy, and other cast portrayed their roles very well. Great story, exciting plots, wonderful chemistry of the two main leads are appreciated.💛 10/10 for this drama and highly recommended.
Tomorrow the last 2 episodes will be aired. Hoping for a happy ending… I surely will miss Ji Rou Chen and Yin Yin and the sweet romantic scenes they have brought… ❤️
First time I was able to laugh and enjoyed this drama when Han Ye and An Le have private time together 💛 Hoping that going forward they would have more screen time like episode 22, not the other boring and annoying support roles!
In episode 29, Ji Rou Chen reminds me of Ying Kong Shi in drama Ice Fantasy, who is also the son of the most powerful character and portrayed by Ma Tianyu as well.

I couldn’t agree with you more regarding American fantasy shows vs C-dramas because I have exactly same point of view like yours. 🙂 I’m a Pacific Asian so I watched historical and Wuxia dramas since my childhood but at that time only Hong Kong and Taiwan dramas were popular in my home country. After Hong Kong was returned to China, its dramas were no longer popular. Since then I didn’t watch historical and Wuxia dramas for a long time. When the pandemic started, I began pay attention to TV shows and accidentally saw Ice Fantasy on Netflix. After watching Ice Fantasy, I was so impressed with the cast, story and production so I have kept watching C-dramas mostly Wuxia/Xianxia until now. I also love the costumes, hairstyles, cinematography and love stories in Chinese costumes dramas. The Pacific Asian countries including China and my home country share the similar culture and some customs so C-dramas remind me of the Asian culture, moral and good values which I forgot for a long time… In my childhood, I wanted to learn Chinese to be able to sing a song in Chinese but ended up studying Japanese instead because I also like anime and OST in anime. You’re right that the picture of my avatar is a character in anime Saiunkoku Monogatari, which is one of my favorite anime and characters. I guess you also know lots of anime to recognize this. Do you still watch anime? What anime are your favorites? It’s nice that you can meet foreign tourists in your work and communicate with them. One of my wishes is to visit your country and some other countries in Europe. Many years ago, I had a chance to visit China. In my point of view, she is very suitable with her character in this drama. The most beautiful woman in her generation, complicated and pitiful… As you have just started watching this drama, I don’t want to spoil you much but you will be surprised once you find out who is the real father of Ying Kong Shi.

By the way, I also like Ma Tian Yu as a singer and love his voice. Regretted that he didn’t sing any ost for Divine Destiny. It seems the production team focused on promoting Angelababy more than Ma Tianyu.
