Nothing stated here is unreasonable or an attack on the visual arts, I absolutely agree. Allot of actors are good looking , this actor would look good I would say even better without heavy make up and a flawless teint, when he is supposedly on the battlefield.
I prefer Actors who can act sincerely over ones that look extremely attractive of course I do not mind the best of both worlds but a pretty face does not need any work done.
Realism doesn't mean "ugly" it just means less ironed and polished, artificially enhanced, to me that is what I call unsightly I do not want to see cotoured "alien" faces many people nowadays can't be recognised as human beings anymore in their peculiar get up.
One reason why I prefer asian content is because specifically in historic dramas and movies the actors look more natural, because back then people didn't make all that fuss and smeared disgusting goo all over their bodies just to bring out the trash...

Exactly, its the first time it is so blatantly clear just how "staged" these dating shows really are, right at the 1st ep after I heard that this was a re-shoot and most of them already did the full s4 shoot I was like .... they have got to be kidding. The whole ordeal was ridiculous. Nothing but a farce. either do not tell that it is a reshoot and just lie flat out once the truth does come out or use an entirely new cast. How dumb are they?! But then again as I see from the comments viewers still buying this BS 😅😂🤣 Not sure what is more embarrassing, the fact that knowing full well all the details and still buying into this farce or that they attempted it.

To me the first 3-4 eps were quite bad, I thought about not continuing but then t quickly got better ad better and throughout I was invested and enjoyed it very much until the last 4-5 episodes when it became more clear that it will end in a way I very much wished it wouldn't.

I wouldn't say he sold his friend, but to me he (BDJ) did have different choices available than what he decided, he most definitely could have made better choices, if only for starters just be there for him after he found out he was still alive.
They kept gong on about how he did enough, but I don't think he did enough for his so called best friend. Too little too late.
Totally agree with the hypocrisy, it feels as if the drama is telling the viewer: when Power and Authority suppresses you, then you have no choice but to accept it because the powerful will succeed and you will be blamed or even loose your life if you resist, so ts not worth it.
All of them were murderers, all of them killed countless people in war but only Ye DingShi has gone too far (insert eyeroll here)... and the audacity of the fake smile Prince Langya to congratulate Yi WangYun to her pregnancy when that scumbag emperor drugged and raped her... and that Emperor calling her his beloved almost had be throw up.
Sure Ye DingShi also made misguided choices but he was inherently good, he helped so many people despite of the dire circumstances (whole family executed while he was still a child) because it was convenient for the royal court, yet he never had a heart full of resentment or revenge but time and time again they failed him, all the people around him, it was so sad to witness. I cried when some of the people who he met throughout his travels showed up to kill him, but then most of them couldn't go through with it and helped him instead.

It is most unfortunate that he chose not forgive himself and left little Ye AnShi behind.

Yeah at 1st I was so annoyed about him leaving, Since he was the most interesting person apart from HyunJun for me, as I already know him from Youtube.
But I think there is still a chance that at the end JH's love interest HJ will not choose anyone because he realises he still has feeling for JH and maybe they will film a reunion and then they will have their moment there...

I liked that "Abs-insta- scam" because A) it keeps in line that Tim carefully planned every detail to appeal to his target and B) Instascam, I mean gram is exactly that.... Everybody posting glamorous heavily edited pictures to show an ideal that doesn't exist. In other words it couldn't have been more accurate on that account.
But to be fair, Panachai is as charming as can be, maybe Tim had a phase where he worked out daily and then not so much anymore... anything is possible.
I just know I wouldn't care if he had 6, 8 or pretend Abs I'll take him as he is.

Good first episode, Panachai just can't go wrong, every time I see him he just works his magic. He is now my favourite.

Already liked ep 1 but ep 2 was great! Apart from one aspect, that felt OTT and didn't make sense to me it was really good: funny, authentic and it left me curious for more. For me it's the best show I have seen of this caliber (from an Indi studio which produces short mini series) so far.
Both Chang Min and Chan Kyo are doing good portraying their respective characters. Chang Min is hilarious (he is basically playing himself but it works so well).
If only the studio would offer another way to support them other than through YT, so I could also chime in. If anyone knows of another way, let me know please.

I liked it overall, some silliness I didn't need so I FFW. had some good music and as always some interesting individuals. Of course everything is heightened to the max but that is just how the show operates, if you see it for what it is it is quite enjoyable.

Oh, I am surprised by that, I thought she was sweet, but she also had her moments when she just went way over board and I thought people watching would give her a shitstorm for that. Glad that's not the case, although, as I read through the comments, the shitstorm just manifested somewhere else smh.
After 3 seasons viewers still don't get that this is entertainment. No it's not scripted because these people are not actors but it is very much produced.
Also I actually believe after some time has passed she and YS will reunite publicly same as the couples from past seasons....
Although between them I haven't seen (as) much chemistry as I have with the couples from past seasons . But 9 years are 9 years so...even if they were still young. My guess is the paycheck will go towards that wedding.

Mn I like your name and feel the sentiment of your comment. To me all hype be it "BL" or others is peculiar at the very least, personally I watch shows and some are good most are not.
Chemistry does exist and is very palpable to me, though I feel like with most terms it isn't understood for what it actually stands for. One observation that has become quite obvious to me is: allot of viewers of shows involving two male leads are mostly interested in the display of physical intimacy and how elaborate and explicit the depiction is...or as I like to call it "rolling around the sheets".
Now my assessment in this particular case: the scenes of the main couple were not as "naughty" as the 2nd couple hence viewers "disappointment" and evaluation of a lack of chemistry.
They do have chemistry, it is not the best I have ever witnessed but they did very well, there were many scenes were it felt sizzling between the two. But from what I see across comments and reactions to series, it only comes down to how well they "make out" although eye contact, touch of hands or face can be just as enticing if not more.
About the issues you mention, I agree. Also about people using it as an easy cop out instead of stating they do not like it.
Though. do not think chemistry is subjective, if it is strong it's undeniable on both sides of the spectrum be it good or bad.

Yeah, this vertical format as mentioned is the "Phone format", it's for the ever growing population who does anything and everything on their phones including watching shows, series, movies. The duration is also perfect for when you are on the go, in the Tube, Bus, between appointments etc For someone like me who avoids dong anything on the phone this is perfect, NOT

The list is good, because while it does feature some dramas I already know, it also lists some I didn't and therefore has some new information that may be useful. It makes no sense to see the exact same (Top 10) lists everywhere. Apart from that a list with only 10 titles cannot feature every drama out there, so there will always be shows "missing".
Lastly personally I only take any sort of list as a guide to what is available, I have my preferences and won't be influenced by a trend or what's popular based on other people standards, finally it's utterly irrelevant whether a drama I have an interest in is to be found on any "Top" lists or not, I'll watch just the same.
