Plus the show has always made us draw comparisons btw xiwen and hanyan like xiwen hanyan is also now bloodthirsty to the extent where she was willing to sacrifice herself for this revenge. In xiwen case hanyan was the light that brought her out of darkness and in hanyan case that light is Ling zhi. But we are missing one more comparison that in xiwen case she died with the love of her life cuz of the father but in hanyan case there is hope like you said so unless they save both or kill both(plzzzzz don't)

Yk the only hope I have is that this mysterious illness still hasn't taken a toll on his body I mean think abt it as far as I remember except blood spilling once I haven't seen any symptoms so this gives me hope that this is a possible case of poisoning and I am thinking just a wild theory what if this mysterious illness/poisoning was done by Zhou eldest daughter cuz of the manipulation of her father and if his father is so proficient in poisoning yk killing his grandfather with it and if that illness is somehow related to him maybe we can see hanyan save him it could be shi Yang last trump card and the show has shown us that all hurdles can be overcome xiwen who had lost hope cuz of shady docs with help got on her feet if she can overcome her paralysis why not ml survive this life threatening illness just my wild guess

Just a theory they didn't give us romance cuz they didn't wanted to have the FL form a deep connection with ML

But if you seen the double you will understand what I mean
The characters didn't had fluffy romance but their body language did the work
And it looked chemistry was chemistrying

Here they technically betray each other and show is plot heavy so they don't get much one to one time

As for the marriage it take place I think ep19 or 20
And if you watch the show till that point you will know it is more of marriage of conviniance

For the little girl sake don't kill yunxi let her live with two parents
And turn that little smart brave girl into a beast

And what even is that illness
He is physically fine no signs of slowing down in action we just got 2 instances of him spitting out blood
One was around middle and the other was ep24 when he got stabbed by hanyan other than that they haven't dived into this illness plot.

By the way the writer is showing strong women character I think hanyan would be the one to get some antidote for this illness.
Either from some sort of trade with his father or just like blossom where he just gets it in the end from the emperor but in this drama hanyan gets it for him

Either way I will accept no romance but if you kill ML as well

I agree to this cuz if we remember clearly consort would have been long gone if that memorial would have been submitted in the previous episode.
Hanyan technically saved her life even if for selfish reason/interest but consort death was inevitable.

But I would blame Hanyan for flaunting her power/cards infront of his father who we knew is a mastermind and how quickly he adapted to the situation.
Got support of Duke Qi to rival hanyan influence and also got her and Fu killed by getting consort(power support of hanyan) killed.

Blame her for revealing her cards a bit to early she should be passive like her father and only show hand when it would hurt other the most. But I am sure she would have realized her blunder and won't repeat it again ( girl is street smart) and learns from experiences.

I just hope there is some sort of antidote to it probably in the hands of shi yang who might have it in case of a backup plan because we have seen throughout the show how he has many safety nets. Like he can see hanyan is blood thirsty and coming for his neck won't he have something in his sleeves as well. What better than pushing her to choose btw ML or revenge.
This is my wishful thinking otherwise I don't see how ML doesn't die from the illness.

Plus for the sake of poor Ling zhi keep him alive lol. As much as I like FL bloodthirst for revenge she alone can't be a good mother. She needs someone who can control her during mental breakdowns. For the cute little girl sake don't kill ML🙏🙏🙏
