ik ppl are going on abt the age gap but since it passed censorship there wont be romance (kisses) which many think is the only form of romance in dramas but i hope we get the chemistry regardless yk something like "the double".

these are all rumored dates they can be true or not but one thing is certain overdo is in july drama lineup so it will air in july (last rumor i heard was july 29)

looking at that trailer looks like both ml and fl have unrequited lovers having one is already annoying but two i hope they dont have much role in the story cuz these one side crushes/love cause more problems for the cp than help generally in all dramas.

Like love triangle as in they date others or just yk unrequited love sort of...

Have read the novel spoilers that their parents are married and they are step sibling in childhood but I think that's just a guess on my end that drama would show the adults as acquittance you know like friends ( talking abt go ahead or the Korean adaptation of it) where the male parents are like Co parents where the children got treated like siblings although I know the drama would not be as sunshine and rainbows in parenting department but that's the relation I think they would adopt so I guess it might be true that they just maybe childhood friends who grew like siblings cuz I don't think the censor would allow actual stepsibling dynamic no matter how you make it sound that it's just childhood or what but that's all my assumption I can be wrong let's see the drama.

Sidenote: just no stupid love triangle can't two ppl have a love hate relationship without a third party. 😅 😅

And to add another reason most of the time multiple dramas are being shot at the same place talking abt historical ones so you get the idea all the noise so whatnot and actors have very tight schedules and thus dubbed by others in case the actors are not available for post filming themselves

the thing is they are very serious abt scandals like tax evasion etc so if anyone of the cast gets caught in it the drama is basically most likely dead (shelved) no matter how big the cast is or how many big stars they have in it until recently where i have seen such dramas air with ai face swaps example of it is love has fireworks and legend of female general. and abt trailers it takes months in post production (like half a year or so) after filming ends not talking abt modern dramas but the historical fantasy ones you get the idea. and after post production there is NTRA (National Radio and Television Administration) its like a censor board they need to give the green light for the drama to air so its not that they dont wanna release early its just the process is too damn long and strict like 3-5 months or so fimlming then 3-6 or so month post production and then NTRA green light waiting time can be months or sometimes if unlucky year.

he didnt know she would be kidnapped and he was full out drunk at that point when luo he pressed him abt always being 2nd to xiao and he blurted out (that she is back but whats the point she still doesnt see me ) thats when luo he got to know she is back and kidnapped her later

Watched till ep10 so (don't read if you just started the show)

Honesty I find find Zhou Wan and her mother quite similar and different at the same time.

They approached for ml(Zhou Wan case) and father of ml ( Guo Yan case) for a purpose. So one can say they are similar.

But what makes them different till now for me is how FL despite her reasons still struggles with the choices she makes yk like feeling disgusted or self loathing whereas for Guo Yan we haven't seen this till now yk any sort of guilt for what she done to FL and FL grandma and I hope they don't give her any redemption bcz the character type of her is selfish and who care abt self preservation so any redemption would just be waste of initial buildup and won't work as a foil to the character to the FL.

Before I started watching the drama I saw a lot of comments going on FL that she is using and manipulating ml and after watching or you can say binge watching till ep10 I can somewhat agree with them but I can also see where FL is coming from and her guilt that she feels and the burden she feels as her feelings for him grow are what imo the redeeming qualities for FL

We get to see many times that FL somewhat tried to move back from the path but she is bombarded with problems after problems that pull are back in the situation it's one thing being evil and one thing being forced to be evil bcz of the circumstances I think that's what separates FL and Guo Yan (FL mother) she left bcz she wanted high life FL is being selfish not for herself but for the only real family she has left grandma

so did they really cut 7 episodes if yes damnnnnn that might butcher the show in general or one arc (talking abt later half of episodes with weird cuts and things happening off screen )

wowwwww this is so messed up i am feeling sad for ml ngl his father is a piece of work, his mother off her self and then you meet someone who brings warmth in your miserable life and then you find out you were pawn in their game even if they developed feelings for you idk how show will handle all the novel spoilers i have seen but idk but fl ditching ml might break him because it would be the result of all past trauma and current heartbreak.

I meant they are famed actors now they have an image to maintain for their main audience which is mainland china being part of a show even if it is censored bl is practically a career suicide for such actors. yk ban and shit

they are famed mainstream actors(mainland China) won't risk their careers for a BL
