To be honest, I thought after I finished watching it, I would be left confused but surprisingly, it didn't leave…
I was never confused either. I'm just guessing but it could be due to the possibility that people are unable to distinguish the different character names attached to the same faces and end up mixing up the different timelines and backstories from which the characters originate. No one seemed to get at first that the personality or soul that had been in love with Junhee all along was Nam Siheon and the real Yeonjun was only featured for a brief time as Taeha's (Rowoon's) love interest
While Lee Joon-gi's acting prowess cannot be denied, I still miss seeing Song Joon-ki as Eunseom and Saya. I'm kind of struggling trying not to compare but the comparison is just inevitable, I guess, when I have always associated the Arthdal Chronicles with SJK. Funnily enough, I feel that Shin Sae-kyeong slipped into the character of Tanya smoothly. I feel also that Sageuks are her niche somehow as though she belongs in times of old. She always seems so out of place in modern dramas, hehe.
Anyway, I'm thoroughly enjoying The Sword of Aramun so far and all the intrigue it entails. Wanting to see SJK was just me being wistful, especially in that epic opening battle scene but then I also trust LJG to carry the torch well and high into the seasons to come.
I want to start this but I heard itβs confusing. From scale 1-10 how confusing it is?
It wasn't confusing for me at all. I think it may be that some have trouble associating the different names with the same faces especially if they're solely relying on the subtitles to follow the story. And if you're watching on Netflix some of the translations are different from what is actually being said so some contexts are lost
The rest of his life would be unconscious in a hospital bed! That's why we never saw him in the mirror dimension,…
Think of it as a different set of loops and chains of events happening to the characters. Similar to how Captain America was also living as Steve Rogers with Peggy Carter all the while the battle against Thanos was going on in the Avengers Endgame. I believe you may be thinking along the theory saying that one soul cannot live in the same time frame with their copies or the situation will somehow create a paradox but in the end time travel is still at the moment science fiction and subject to creative interpretations
i love hyoseop, but li zi wei is one of my fave characters of all-time so i'm kinda nervous. can anyone tell me…
I wouldn't brush this off just by what other people say. Sometimes it's best to form your own opinions because you might have a different set of preferences that would compel you to keep on watching. I mean just because one version may not live up to the other, it doesn't mean that it is inferior in quality compared to other ongoing dramas showing currently. If it wasn't a remake to assessed in comparison I can confidently say it's a darned decent drama that has beautiful moments of friendship, love and humanity. All I'm saying is that both dramas have their own merits to be enjoyed and appreciated.
I am not sure why some people are saying the timeline is a mess, but I found the plot and the way the story unraveled intriguing. I won't make comparisons as I believe the two dramas have their own merits and it's just all up to the differences in preference anyway. I love the chemistry between the 3 leads, many of their interactions tugged at my heartstrings and the side characters are also lovable though I found the villain's character rather comical, trying too hard to be villainy. That's the only complaint I have.
Perhaps it's overrated to you, but not to others. I think the rating is spot on, and should have been higher in fact. But then again it's just what I think so I would not expect you to agree. That's how personal preferences work
Can anyone recommend recommend a good mystery/thriller series with good romance as a subplot in it

Having differing opinions is what humanity is about. Expressing them is a human right regardless the side of the argument it is made on. Maturity is when you can objectively view an opinion different from yours without being offended by them.
