Person Lee Je Hoon
He is a superb actor. After watching Tomorrow w You, i looked for his other romantic roles, but i couldn't…
That's because he does not want to be type-cast into a specific genre. Personally I love him taking on investigative roles, like in Signal and Phantom Detective

Title Black Spoiler
I’m not a huge fan of the ending either, but I guess it is what it is and I will definitely remember the drama series as one that has made a big impact on my K-drama-watching experience. SSH gave a phenomenal performance and I think he has personally carried the whole series on his back through to the end. He WAS Black. It wasn’t just the clothes he wore. Go Ara managed to hit a few good points but had been a little lacking in charisma compared to the male lead. There were times I found it difficult to sympathize with her predicaments or root for her, but then perhaps the material she had to work with had a lot of bearings on her performance.

How I wish the ending could have been done differently though. There had been too much still going on to conclude the drama the way it did, and without the justice it wholly deserves. I think the mistake was the fact that they have already declared in the synopsis the fate that will eventually befall Grim Reaper 444, hence having to end the season with his entire existence as a human completely erased, by hook or by crook. If they hadn’t been so conclusive in their synopsis I think there could have been many avenues for his story to continue on in a second season, without having to completely obliterate the beautiful and exciting journey that has had us viewers so emotionally invested. All the debates, theories and speculations ended up being of no consequence finally – because they ceased to have happened by simply pushing the reset button that was the ending. It kind of made a mockery of the reason we loved the drama series in the first place. It made redundant too, of all the wonderful relationships that Black had built during his short, borrowed time in Detective Han’s body, his contributions as a member of the society, and the changes in his worldviews of the human world.

Keeping Black’s reaper identity a secret from Ha Ram had been made into such a big issue. We have all wondered how Ha Ram would have reacted upon finding out. Would she take her mother’s attitude and ban him from her life? Or could she have been a bigger person and accepted him for what he was? Would the revelation have given her the chance to come to terms with her abilities and see the shadows in a wholly different light, now that she knows what they truly are? To have been haunted by the shadows and not having any explanation as to why she had those abilities, was also an avenue the producers could have explored, in letting her coming to understand that she had been a part of the shadowy beings as the legacy of her beloved late father. It’s such a wasted opportunity that the revelation had been squeezed in in the last 5 minutes of the final episode, and by means of a bedtime story, no less!

I’m not even going to address the inconsistencies in the ending and the plot holes it was ridden with. I guess it just had to have happened as a byproduct of the mad rush to squeeze everything into the final episode. They have so much avenues that they could have pursued further should a sequel come into existence in the future. A potential bromance that Black could have developed with Disgusting Brat a.k.a “Leo”, in evading the Death Squad, for instance! Ha ha. But just imagine this being a sequel and they encounter a new villain in the form of an over-ambitious member of the Death Squad who would bend the rules of heaven and earth in his pursuit of runaway reapers like Black and Disgusting Brat. But I digress. Just wishful thinking on my part, I guess. I just don’t want my Black experience to end. I’m sure many would feel the same way too. It had been too a wonderful journey to have had it cut off as abruptly as it did.
