It must be so very hard on you to watch entertainment from a country you hate so much. I'd suggest that you find…
I'm sorry that the things actual Korean people told me THEMSELVES is racist to you. Maybe you should also try HiNative like I did when I used to be enamored with their culture and think everything was rainbows and roses 😌

I appreciate your thoughtful input and attempt at explanation. I'm not sure I understand 100% of it clearly, but…
Why is it my job to educate you on something? I didn't expect Korean people to educate me on their culture, I got off of my ass and learned about what's appropriate or disrespectful to them because I used to have a desire to go there. It's totally double standards that they can't do the same lol. Then this YukiMiharu person who comments all this crap under everyone one of my comments, blocks me and calls me a troll (I saw your comments while I was signed out hahaha.) You can't make this stuff up 🤣 and for you YukiMiharu the trans atlantic slave trade was the worst SLAVE trade/event in history. I never said it was better or worse than the Holocaust. You made that up on your own. However because you need attention so bad and need to be coddled I got timed for you hun! The transatlantic slave trade was the largest and longest(from 1526-1867) it is known as the worst.

Got that information from the Gilder Lehman Institute of America History and wouldn't you know, the founders are JEWISH😱. They also state that not until the fifteenth century was slavery, MIND YOU THE WORST SLAVE TRADE, associated with people of African descent.

Also concerning Africans selling Africans there is a saying that all skin folk ain't kin folk, did you forget that African is a whole ass continent? Do you honestly think everyone in Africa is related or get along because of skin color? You're very ignorant and since you brought up the Japanese, comparing Africans enslaving Africans is literally the same as Asians mistreating Asians. Just because they are from the same continent doesn't mean they get along or are related 🤣also another fun fact let's take the example of the Chinese: if you're not one for paranoia you should know that they have Muslims in intermittent camps. But where are those Muslims from? 🤔 LITERALLY FROM THE XINJIANG DISTRICT IN CHINA!!! Which is a part of Central Asia. So we have what: Asians mistreating other Asians just like how the Japanese mistreated Koreans. I love how you tried the black on black crime thing, that's literally my favorite when debating uneducated people like you and dear bideshi because you really thought you did something! 😂🤓

Also situations like the Holocaust cannot be in the same context of slavery because that was pure genocide. Even though they made them work for free under horrible conditions, the end game was to literally kill them all and that was not the case with slavery. Why do you think it lasted so long? If they wanted to they could've just killed everyone but instead they saw how they could benefit for years off of their hard labor which is another reason why the slave owners were salty when it ended. Lastly I'm not the least bit racist I was explaining why some people are PREJUDICED! Again know the difference.

I'm also aware that thanks to a lot of white abolitionists slavery ended, despite all the attempts that slaves made to end it on their own, they did in fact need help from people in power.

But it's like I said if you really cared to know you would do some research instead of arguing in defense of people who don't care you exist. Now instead of getting mad at me for speaking facts and doing your research for you, stop spouting misinformation and get a life. I'm done commenting about this, toodles ✌🏽🤍

The point is, after watching the actual episodes, that he was portrayed as a very decent fellow, good-natured…
No I definitely don’t think most are blind or deaf but I definitely think it’s too much considering everyone has access to research anything they want in life. If you (not you personally) have time to watch Kdramas you have time to see what Korean society is really like. I agree with you about the divorce parts and there is definitely a lot of misogyny in Korea.

Lol🤣💀 like I said you’re definitely a Karen or Kevin. I’m not here to do research for you we all have access to the internet and unlimited knowledge as well as libraries. You’re just choosing to be willfully misinformed and ignorant and I refuse to allow your ignorance to invade my peace and happiness. Sounds like you need some kind of help, you’re very bitter and as they say De Nile is a river in Egypt 💀😔✌🏽

According to the world population review SK is top ten countries with suicide deaths rates, remember i'ts only…
No I said the part about travel was probable. Some things are common sense. If you don’t expand your horizons and you live in a toxic society that applies too much pressure no doubt you’re more likely to be suicidal because you will have more of a hopeless outlook on life. It is a fact that changing your environment contributes towards your outlook in life. However, in regards to suicide, it’s not about modern technology it’s about thinking that berating people =teaching them to be responsible. I never mentioned America lol where you even pull that out of your ass from?? A lot of the older generation think the new generation are lazy and don’t work hard enough. That’s what I have heard from a lot of Korean people who actually live in Korea. You really should actually talk to Korean people, it seems you’re extremely ignorant of their culture because it’s also very bad with adults as well.

So it’s fact that they are the plastic surgery capital of the world. It’s also fact that they are among the highest in suicide rates. Not to mention the white washing that they apply to photos and videos. None of that says self confidence. It’s also a fact that Sulli from FX committed suicide because of bullying from knietzens. It’s also a fact that bullying is prevalent not only in schools but it’s even extreme in the workplace in Korea by employers. So yes if you can’t value and appreciate your own people then you’re definitely not going to do it to foreigners. Anything else you didn’t understand? Sounds like you only know how to comment based on emotions instead of actually researching things for yourself 🤣

And people do try to explain in a reasonable manner why it’s offensive but having to explain it all the time and then them offending you over and over again gets very tiring

That point! They want to be white so bad that they pander to whites and throw everyone else who have been the victims of white supremacy/colonization under the bus, including themselves!

That’s the point if you’re going to represent a culture learn about the actual culture. Who knows what they were really trying to represent, no one knows because like I said there is willful ignorance at play. The only people who have the right to assume are people from that culture and people who regularly deal with people from that culture. Being one of those people I would assume yes he’s supposed to be an Arabic Muslim who was so infactuated with the FL that he was willing to forgo his cultural/spiritual upbringing to pursue her. Your problem is you’re not listening to the people from said culture explain why something was offensive to them. Immediately everyone gets defensive because they like Kdramas. But just because you like Kdramas doesn’t mean you turn a blind eye towards the messed up stuff Korean society has and continues to perpetuate. You can like something while recognizing the good and ugly side of things. That’s why I even hate calling these people Idols. These people are not perfect and have a lot of messed up things in their society that they need to change like yesterday

I'm an extremely successful and happy person. You just come off as bitter ngl you're making all these assumptions which I'm sure is just you projecting your own dissatisfaction in life onto other people and cultures. Been there done that nothing new 🥱

I wish all Asians who are getting mad over the comments would care more about the mental health breakdown of their society. Ya'll so judgemental and that's why you have the highest suicide rates. You're miserable and unhappy and just want everyone else to be the same. I love how ex kpop Idols talk about how toxic Korean society is 😂

Everything you wrote proved what I just said. It's really funny how you all think the same. And just some fyi everyone should be thanking the BLM movement. Because of that laws are being revised that everyone benefits from. Because of that people are publicly speaking out and protesting against the injustices done in their countries. It literally brought the world together. People want to only point out things like riots (funny thing is with the storm on Capitol Hill, which was much worse, had it not been for BLM they wouldn't even have had the balls to do that but ya'll not ready for that discussion 🤓) it wasn't only black people protesting, but it was people pretty much from every country, definitely from every continent. So black actually brought all these countries together in support against police brutality. Also black women are the main ones to support any protest, the me too movement was inspired by a black woman. So yeah I stand by what I said and just because I like other cultures and other societies does not mean I don't see the ugliness in them. Sorry but it's called being balanced. And I have always had lots of friends from different cultures and counties, even Koreans lol who do you think I get my information from? 😂🤓

The point is you said Greeks didn't scoff at My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Comparing a culture making fun of themselves to another culture making fun of another culture has no merit. You're allowed to make fun of yourself. Also the cast were not Americans do your research the writer has a Greek father who literally born in Greece. She was born in Canada. I'm pretty sure she used the stories from her father and grandparents as narratives for her story. Also not all Arabs are Muslim so maybe the person you married wasn't super religious? Just because you married one Arab person didn't mean anything but I've been friends with tons of Arabic/Islamic persons over the years both who were religious and non religious. But clearly this person in the drama represents the Arabs who are religious. No doubt that's why he dresses that way, most non religious Arabics aren't walking around dressed like that lol

Prejudice towards white people is a respond to racism that black people experienced because of white people. If white people were never racist towards black people then there would be no preconceived notions against white people. Even before slavery Africans and people in the carribians were open to white people and may have thought they simply looked funny or something minor, however after the transatlantic slave trade which is recorded as the worst case of slavery in all of history, they have adequate reasons to be prejudice towards white people. The same way Koreans are prejudice towards the Japanese because they were once under their rule. Hope that helps, but I'm sure you don't care to do research or care to know the truth anyway.
