The storyline was good and there was no unnecessary drama but it felt lifeless. I can't explain it but even the photography made it look dull for some reason.
The drama was much better than the webtoon because the characters were more developed and their decisions made more sense. I enjoyed it and I will miss waiting for new episodes. Is it the best drama I have ever watched? No. But it was a very entertaining school/youth drama and that's all I wanted. Plus, it made me see in a better light Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young and made me want to know more about Hwang In Yeop.
The FL was like a breath of fresh air in this kind of drama. Strong, outspoken, she gave him a piece of her mind and I loved her for it. The ML was too stiff and the dubbed voice sounded foreign to him. He needs to work on his acting. Overall, not something I would recommend but it had its good moments.
I am officially a Soo Ah anti. She showed zero character development and she is obviously not a good friend to JK. The whole school is full of bad people to be honest.
Even her mother. It is sad it had to come to this for her to listen to JK. We don't have enough episodes for unnecessary dramas and hasty happy outcomes so I hope the writer won't disappoint me.
It reminded me of other similar school dramas like A Love So Beautiful and Suddenly This Summer but not as good. Some of the acting was bad. But the FL and ML had cute chemistry so that made me keep watching it.
The main thing I got from this drama is a crush on Li XIan. Joking aside, it was too long for the story. Too many flashbacks, too many competitions and it became repetitive.
Maybe, it's because she thought Jugyeong didn't trust her with her secrets, her face and her relationship with…
I guess it is a matter of perspective. Because it wasn't simply a pic of her looking differently but a video of JK getting bullied. And I think she should respect the fact that this is dramatic and that most people would not feel comfortable talking about it. I also judged her like that because of her words. She didn't say 'Why didn't you tell me?' but she said 'Is that you?' and in that expression and tone. That speaks volume to me. And I still don't think this is something a good friend would do. If I were JK, that would be enough for me to keep my distance from her in the future. But since JK is different, I think they will talk and be friends again.

Instead of saying that , she looked at her in an accusatory way and aked her if that was her. SooAh has always been shallow. With not listening to her side and keeping teasing her about dating SeoJun although JK denied it to entering her photo in that competition without asking her. I don't blame JK for not saying anything. She never showed that she is a friend to be trusted. And at the end of the day when a whole school makes fun of your friend, you support first and you call her out for not trusting you later.
I love the Chinese version so I was so excited when I saw there would be a Korean version. I even waited to have a few episodes to watch instead of waiting every week. But I don't think I will keep watching this. It is really bad and I don't say that often. The FL looks too old to be a high schooler. Even the teacher looks younger. Perhaps she knows it herself and she tries too hard to be cute but it is cringy instead. I feel second hand embarrassment watching her. The ML is awkward and he seems petulant at time. I wonder if that was what they were going for or he is still a rookie and can't act better. There is zero chemistry between them and they look more than older sister/ brother than two young people liking each other. They skipped so many things because of the short episodes but I wonder if people who don't know the story will understand what's going on. It is like they picked some scenes and there's no cohesiveness.
I am sad because I was really looking forward to this.
I loved it. I think it was a well made drama with a very interesting story. I think it was Bai Yu's best performance so far. I hope he got a lot of great reviews for his acting because he deserves it.
The story had potential but it went nowhere. I didn't like either the ML or the FL. They were both immature and unreasonable. Not to mention the actors couldn't act and had zero chemistry. Such a big disappointment.
I think it should have been 24 instead of 36 episodes. There were a lot of filler scenes. Lin Kai Tuo was so annoying at least during half of the drama.
