It seems to be an unpopular opinion but apart from the game stuff, this drama has all the overused tropes and it fell flat. I think I lost interest completely when I saw how they were connected through their past. LYX carried the drama in her back. It was my first time watching the ML and I don't know if it was the role or him but everything about him was awkward. Xiaorou story was more interesting in my opinion. I also understand why there are a lot of people with second head syndrome here. I don't know if it was the performance or his character but there was something about him that made him look more interesting.
It would have been the perfect drama if not for the last 6 episodes. It felt like a whole different drama and it made the drama lose its momentum. There was also times during the drama that things were vaguely implied or we saw just a 2 second scene to know there was something happening. I don't know if that was because they deleted scenes or it was a device to move the story forward. Still the first 30 episodes were really good so it was worth watching it. The opening song was really good.
I love me some BJT so I watched it for him. He carried the show, without him it would not have been half as good. This could have been a 12 episode drama because at some point I felt it was dragging. Despite the mystery, I didn't feel the suspense and it was a little predictable at times. Moreover, there was no chemistry between the FL and ML . Like the romance was a bit awkward and not realistic. BJT tend to have got chemistry with his FLs in varying degrees but here there was none. Still, it was a delight to him in this role. A 7/10 for me.

I don't think there was a hidden meaning that some of us couldn't grasp when it comes too their relationship. The romance/ relationship wasn't properly written ( as I said I understand this was not the focus of the drama but still) and even though the relationship was already established from the very first episode, there was no spark. Having seen WXY in other dramas, I know he can give the sizzling chemistry. Here he didn't.
I struggled to finish this drama and I wouldn't have, but for WXY. There was something off about it. The dubbing was too obvious and the background noises too fake at times. I understand this was a detective/ mystery drama but the romance didn't convince me. I felt zeto chemistry between them. WXU stole the show. He carried himselfv in a way that overshadowed the other young actors.
I really loved this drama. At times it didn't feel like acting, it almost felt like a documentary and the actors were their true selves, very natural. I really loved this vibe.
This drama was such a disappointment and such a waste of time for the actors. She spent the majority of the drama chasing after QX while he was nowhere to be seen, literally. But they did a terrible job showing the connection they had. Like, they didn't see each other for few years, they had no interaction, and then suddenly they meet and she's terribly love and she does nothing but running around him snf and after him. It felt like she had the juvenile obsession with him and not true feelings because they didn't have time to spend time together to get to know each other well and to form a meaningful connection.
ZLH is too old to be playing a high schooler. And he had the least showing time from all the other major characters while he is the main lead, that's madness.
I wanted to like this but it was a struggle to try to finish each episode. My main issue was that I felt zero chemistry between the leads and this is the main ingredient for a good enemies to lovers. Unfortunately I had to drop it.
I was captivated by this drama in a way that it doesn't happen to me that often. I suppose there were some flaws but I feel like it had everything and it did the majority of things right. I am sad that I will have to say goodbye to this drama. I don't know if it's the number of episodes or the story itself but I felt like I got very attached to the characters. Now I totally understand why this is a favorite and I used to see it so often in cdrama recommendation lists. And now the hard part begins which is what to watch next because nothing will seem as good in comparison.
I just finished the drama. I am still trying to process my feelings because I loved this drama so much I binge watched it. I simply couldn't stop. Personally, I think that her mother couldn't handle a guilty feel for abandoning her. She failed disappointed that NN turned out to be a little wild. But her biggest mistake is that instead of trying to discipline her in a gentle way to show her love because NN was starving for parental love and it was painfully obvious, she constantly compared her to YY which only made things worse. To me it looked like she did it out of spite but she was supposed to be the adult, the parent but she behaved worse than her teenage daughter. And I felt that that was unforgivable.
Her relationship with her mother only got better after she found the motherly love she had always dreamed off in the Empress.
I have already watched HL! Thank you anyway though! Now I have to try hard to get over this drama.

I think she feels guilty for abandoning her but instead of introspection, she belittles SS at every opportunity. And she is so stubborn that even when people tell her she is wrong, she won't listen.
So it's not a surprise that she felt a kinship to LY because he wasn't taken seriously by his family. But their dynamic was purely platonic. Like SS mentioned herself she found a playmate. Someone who would help her break free from her mother's ire and belittlement. But he wouldn't be a good spouse in the long run. Despite the fact that he wants her to be free and do her thing, he is not strong enough to help her advice this. Unlike LBY who asked her where she wants to do in the future and I believe he will help her because he has the power to do so.
if you want a faster pacing with ml then you should watch the 7 Relics of ill omen
I am really sorry to say that I might avoid him in the future. I saw him in Go Ahead and he is ok but in this drama he was really stiff and had pretty much the same expressions. But thank you for the recommendation
It's always a pleasure to watch ZWY but this time I was shocked with WCR's beauty The story started a bit slow but it picked up and it was really entertaining. I will miss the Fujun Furen more than I thought I would.
