Maybe this has been discussed before but since I am still on episode 7 and I am scared there will be spoilers, I can't check the other comments.
But shouldn't Sang Zhi be at college based on HL. She had a 5 year gap with the JX and he was one year older than SY. But in TFF, it's been right years since high school and she is still a senior? Plus, she was excited to see JX when in HL she avoided him all through senior year. Can someone explain?
What a journey! This has ruined it to be a comfort drama for me. It had its flaws alright but it was so entertaining and heartwarming. I really liked that the women in this drama were strong, resilient and were in control of their lives. I hope we will get more great dramas like this one.
I have just finished the novel and I think I should rewatch it for the 4th time to see the differences. This obsession won't go away.. Can anyone recommend similar novels?
I watched this drama because it was recommended everywhere but I didn't like it as much as I expected it. My main issue was the progression of the story. It felt like they had to decide on which events from the book to include in 34 episodes but the way they did it made the drama lack in cohesion. That made things be confusing and the moment it started to make a little sense, we went to another scene that had no continuity.
Pros Song Mo with grey hair, enough said!
The cinematography was often amazing
Dou Zhao was a strong character, it was refreshing because we often have weak female characters in historical dramas
Meng Yi Zi carried herself amazingly well despite the fact that she looked very modern at times.
Cons The cohesion I mentioned
The storytelling and explaining the story properly
Some actresses had those lenses that make the eye pupil look bigger and it looked super weird for a historical drama.
About the Wu Shan case. He was accused of sending her letters but wasn't she the one who copied his handwriting and she copied the books her sister gave her? I got confused about this part.
I am watching ep12 now and I wonder whether I am the only one who thinks that it's too complicated. Like we were thrown into the story without much explanation and it's different subplot every episode without having properly explained the previous ones. Three continuity with this drama is off, I can't explain it.
I haven't been such obsessed with a drama since the Untamed. I really can't move on so I rewatched it to pay closer attention to the details and I loved it even more.
I have a question for those of you who know. I read somewhere that the role was given to WXY at the last minute. It was said that another actor was cat first but because the drama was low budget and WJY not that popular he left and they gave the role to WXY. Thus the big age gap.

Well, it worked out perfectly well because WXY nailed this role.

Do you know if this is true?
I am afraid I might drop it.
