I feel exactly the same way. I started watching kdramas 11 years ago. I can sit down and watch 24eps straight without blinking an eye before but now I can only skim 1 episode and then drop it. I I can't find any kdrama that would really pique my interest.
Yet, just like you, I find myself binge-watching 40+eps of Cdrama.
My kdrama burnout started a couple of years back and I still haven't recovered. There are few kdramas I tried over the years but I can all count them with my hands (out of probably a hundred released since 2015). I also agree with what the others said that diversifying what you watch would help. What I do is doing different things or going through one medium at a time.
I couldn't say if its because of the quality of kdramas as of late, or maybe I just find them releasing the same genre or the same trope multiple times in a year. Also, the earlier days of kdrama has a certain charm that I couldnt find in recent releases.
Surprisingly, I'm really enjoying this even if there's no romance tag! ???? Haven't read the novel nor watched…
Me too. I was hoping there's a romance angle in the story but I guess it would just ruin the feel of the overall series since it's focused on the game and friendship.
WeTV has it but you have to subscribe to their VIP service. You can wait for their scheduled release every Thursday and Saturday if you want to watch it for free.
I'm having so much fun watching this series. Reminds me of the days I was addicted to PC MMMOs. I am tempted to read the translated web novel but I saw it's already at 1.5k-ish chapters sooo....
And I love the CGI! I was a little afraid I'd be disappointed with the CGI, given how good the anime was, but my worry was pointless because they did such a great job with the live adaptation's gaming world.
This started out fine and promising but somewhere in the middle the story went so dragging as if it's not going anywhere. Had to dropped and just see how it ended. So glad I did, it saved me 10Eps = 450 minutes of my life.
