Are you asking about how gory it is? I thought Princess Agents the opening scene (human hunting ) was super gory.…
You can't watch a historical Chinese drama without seeing blood coming from the mouth! Lol. It's as frequent as people receiving IV fluids in hospital for getting caught in the rain in Kdrama!
On All about My Mom Dec 16, 2017
Just scrolled down and the top review above basically contains a complete spoiler without me even clicking on it and now I'm so pissed I don't even want to watch the drama as nowhere is this mentioned in the synopsis so you've basically just ruined the entire show! Thanks. Why do people do this? Aaaaaargh!

Father Cha... I love him so much!!! AHHH I'm so addicted to this drama right now, and I'm so upset I…
Father Cha caused so much heartache and problems for his kids. It would have been a lot less painful and sensible just to be honest. Agree that the Aunt was the best.
On What Happens to My Family? Dec 3, 2017
When it comes to K dramas, family ones are my favourite genre. I was actually enjoying the story just fine until the legal action part began (hadn't read the synopsis so didn't know that was coming) and thereafter I just thought it fell apart. It wasn't congruent with the Dad's previous character, just seemed like a nonsensical plot twist and made me dislike him immensely. It didn't make any sense even by far fetched Drama standards. I had no sympathy for his plight. I still laughed and cried on occasion and loved the other characters, but it's probably the only family drama that has ever annoyed me.
On My Father Is Strange Sep 6, 2017
I'm on EP 20 right now. It's a typical family drama. Usually I don't get frustrated at the characters hypocrisy because it's all part of a good show but somehow the hypocrisy of the parents actions is super annoying. Can't wait for their kids to find out the truth. The kids are having regular problems and making typical life 'mistakes' but what their father did (and mother agreed to) is next level so I think the parents reactions are too hypocritical to fit with their past and this spoils the plot for me. My fave family drama is still 'My Hubs got a fam' but this is pretty enjoyable. Junghui started to really grow on me and I really feel for him. He's a sweetie not a bighead.

I finished this, and I'm not sure how I feel about the ending...
The entire drama was excellent but those ending moments in the harbour were a big fat NO for me. I don't know why they did that.

Came to read a bit about the drama. Saw a bunch of spoily comments. Please don't openly say if the ending is happy or sad. Once you start watching, the sad or happy end spoiler comments means you guess far too easily what will happen. I want to come to the drama with an open mind. I didn't read the book so why tell us that you did and how the drama will or won't differ.

Ha thanks. I thought it was probably that but wasn't sure if I missed something. I thought the guy was a scammer maybe. Thank you. :)

Haha did anyone else notice that Lao Jin is Dong Fang Ji from Princess Agents?
Actors can look so different outside of historical dramas!

I haven't finished. I'm on 26 and I'm not usually one to whine about waiting for subs but it's been stuck at 82% for a couple of days so if you have time who are the guys Zijun hitches a lift with in the rain and why is He Han so furious?

Last few eps really dragged for me, all the characters became so flat and tired, but finally some emotions in the last one.
On The First Half of My Life Aug 5, 2017
I'm now on ep 22 and still loving this drama. Of course I do love corny dramas with villains and heroines but what is different and nice about this drama is that there is no obvious bad guy (except maybe Vivian, but she's not very good at what she does lol) but only characters with their strengths and flaws. It's easy to identify with everybody in this drama in some way and understand the factors that lead to their flaws. Whilst there is still a lot of wealth in this drama, it isn't the typical CEOs son type of absurdity. It is much more real and I think that is what is making it quite popular. I also love Zi Jun and Tang Jings stylish outfits. Zi Juns mother is a bit over the top in a typical cheesy drama style but entertaining nonetheless. Waiting for subs now...
On The First Half of My Life Jul 26, 2017
Absolutely loving this drama. Really refreshing to see a drama with a different age group where its not all about the hotness factor, but real(ish) people and real themes. It really reminds me of Japanese drama especially with the Japanese restaurant being the meeting hub and the chefs observations about the gossip and drama. This drama covers a lot of ground about attitudes to work, marriage, love, money and family from the perspectives of both men and women. Its serious with just a splash of lightheartedness arising out of the conflict between Zi Juns naivety and He Hans (her best friends boyfriends) no-nonsense logic. The characters are both likeable but flawed. I can't wait for it to be fully subbed. I've already shed tears by episode 6. Hope it can maintain the momentum.

After catching up on the new comments that posted since yesterday, I realized that we've past 2000 posts.…
This is a new thing to me too. Some years back this segment was used to post a few general comments about the drama which is why I was surprised at the amount of Spoilers being posted openly that anyone coming to check out the drama will immediately see. Its still happening as well which is fine if you are up to date with episodes but not if you haven't started yet. The discussion area would be much better for the daily comments for those following in real time.

I don't know why but I just can't seem to follow the plot in this drama. (ep 47) Either something has got lost in translation or certain parts of the plot and/or certain characters have not been introduced well or maybe I am just stupid. I've given up trying to follow and am just watching for the action and love interest now. I don't get what is going on at all with this Liang state and people all dressed in black. Losing interest. If anyone can explain it would be good, I am stalling here. thanks.
