Yeah, I just finished watching it. And well, maybe not quite so in depth, but I do get why they have such opposing views and can't really blame either of them. It makes perfect sense for both of them.
Lol, Li Si jumping from the cliff. If it wasn't for the fact that noone has yet died from that in a C-drama, we're far enough into the story that I'd be willing to believe they might potentially be willing to kill off some people alongside the shifu. But not Li Si lol

OMG, I was right about him being responsible for Li Si's illness, too! I'm starting to see the plan, too. Save the prince, make him dependent and easily controllable, put him on the throne when the time is right, and they basically end up being the one to control the empire. Makes sense.

No, I haven't yet. I think so far, my favourite character of Fang Yilun out of the ones that I've seen is Bai Yutang in ZZA, though Meng Rui is 2nd. He's more fun than Liu Yan, though it may partially be because he's a bit less insane lol

Creative, I have to say, though I still have some questions even with all the explanations they offered. Like, okay, he fell into the sea to fake his own death but how did he manage to return so quickly, and then nobody noticed that he was suddenly all wet from the fall? The whole "sweating" thing does not sound convincing to me at all.
Ji Ada jumping out with the 'If it wasn't for you brat, I would never have been discovered' made me laugh so hard. I couldn't help thinking of every Scooby Doo episode ending with "If it wasn't for the group of kids, I would never have been caught!" lol

Gong Le kinda gave himself away when he told Xia Jiuying to leave and visit places for him. I can't help feeling like they could have done it better to make it a surprising twist that he is involved in the whole thing.
Still, the two episodes were pretty great and interesting. I'm really enjoying the dynamics of the group and all.

The Crown Prince punishing Eunuch Zhao feels like a very big show to indicate that the Prince had nothing to do with it. I genuinely expect for it to be revealed that he is the one that had the Eunuch release him, but now that it wad discovered, he had to save face.
And with that scene with Crown Princess, he gives off such a psychopath vibes, that only make me all the more convinced that the guy's nuts and evil and just plays the role of a fool. And of course, anything anyone says is immediately an accusation or going against him.
