DK always enters with a flair of villain. This time gray hair and all. His lethal ability just oozes off him.…
There is something about him that oozes a great villain energy, though. I'm currently watching the Blood of Youth, and he's definitely convincing. Though it would definitely be interesting to see him play a good guy for a change, as I think I've only ever seen him play vilains so far lol
And I'm guessing they will be a couple, too. I suspect that when the plot develops, it will evolve into a very cute one, given the Gongsun Yin has a very cute guy energy.
While watching the last scene you mentioned, I'm afraid that he's the father of the princess's child. And I feel…
Ummm... I'm a little confused now, because they're two different characters aren't they? The Princess, who was impersonating her brother and was forced to go back after Gongsun Yin revealed she was there and then Yu Qianqian, who arrived in that small town a few years ago when she was pregnant.
I'm not sure how to feel about the way ML went berserk on the Guo guy. On one hand, yaay for him being protective but at the same time, that was a bit intense and scary lol
Now, I'm curious about the Princess and all. It feels like they're building towards a love story between her and Gongsun Yin. Such a shame that he just reported her like this, it could have been so cute if she stayed there and things developed over time.
Haha, ML sidekicks calling the FL Marchioness. I have a feeling there's going to be quite a lot of amusing moments with this lol
And hmmmmm, Yu Qianqian clearly knows Qi Min. I was wondering when he's going to show up for how high he is on the cast list. Why do they have to keep ending the episodes that way, and making us wait for answers :(
A part of me really feels respect towards the FL for keeping her tongue in check for so long before finally lashing out at that Granny Kang. I'd probably have snapped way, way sooner lol
I always can't help finding it a bit amusing when they discuss army provisions vs support to the people. Sure, it's important to support the army but at the same time, what's the point of having an army to begin with if you starve your people or ensure that they hate you so much that, should the enemy actually invade, they may choose to side with them for a glimmer of hope that things will improve?
And of course, the Emperor is completely useless and spineless. It's funny how it's often either a full on tyrant, or a completely useless puppet. I hope the whole politics plot stays interesting rather than drag on.
But, our dear ML, aren't you overreacting a bit? The Li guy is clearly helping, and if he wanted to screw you over, he would already have announced that you're there.
They want to find a letter, huh. Yeah, no doubts there must be more history to her father than what the FL knows. Especially that the grandfather also wanted to say something but didn't get a chance to finish. And I bet the parents weren't killed by the bandits but also by assassins sent by someone.
So, the Prime Minister is the enemy. Is the other guy on the ML's side then, I wonder? It would seem so, if the two daughters that his teacher was asked to protect are FL and her sister. Unless it's even more complicated than that. And why on earth do they finish on such a cliffhanger lol
I swear, the ML and his friend's disconnection from the kind of life the FL and her family leads is one of the most amusing things in the drama. Not to mention, the scenes when the friend was imagining what she had to do to convince the ML to marry into her family, and later ones was hilarious. I had to pause for a moment because I was laughing so hard I couldn't see through the tears.
"Sun-gongzi likes things tidy so he cleaned the whole house before he left" - damn, why can't I get guests like this lol
What a useless magistrate, and the guy that keeps telling him what to do is just so annoying. The friend arrived just in time but ugh, I don't know, perhaps it's just me but this actor is dubbed so badly in my perception.
One thing I'm surprised by is that noone has openly recognised the ML for who he really is. That one guy from the suicide attackers seems to have recognised him but didn't say anything.
I'm really, really intrigued how it's going to develop. Been a while since I made an effort to be up to date with episodes and so far, this is definitely making me want to keep up.
The scene when she caught the bird and was thinking of what to do with it, settling on killing it, was so hilarious. I couldn't stop giggling. The way she had the four that came to extort the money from her was fun, too.
I wonder who killed the uncle, though. It's not like she doesn't have plenty of people, who dislike her in that town, so they'd probably like to see her in trouble.
Song Yan's audacity to show up on the wedding day and apparently expect she'd become his concubine is truly something. If there's anyone that can't let go, it's pretty clear that he is that person. How is his suggestion supposed to be better? lol That said, is it just me, or his face looks weird at times?
The ML buying the pin back for her was sweet. And his reaction when he hears that the money for his essay was enough to last for a year was hilarious. But, sooner or later, someone is bound to notice that bird, especially with it making so much noise, when it comes to him.
The interactions and the differences in perspectives between the FL and ML are very entertaining and hillarious. It's very clear from the get go that his life had to be very different from hers. Her "big" dreams don't seem all that big to him, and even the food attitudes are very different. Then again, I can't blame the guy for not being too keen on intestines - eating offal is nothing weird for me, but intestines might be a little bit too much, especially if someone was to tell me that some like then less clean for more taste.
I guess we are going to learn that soon enough but with the scenes at the court, I'm wondering which faction is the ML's ally and which is his enemy. Unless they're both against him for different reasons lol
And the whole scene with the memorial tablet for Marquis Wu'an was quite entertaining too. She made a memorial tablet for him, only to change it into a memorial tablet for him, too lol And I'm still convinced there has to be a story connected to her father somewhere in there if he was his supporter.
"If you stay, I'll feed you by butchering pigs" - aww.
Though I think he was actually more impressed by the way she kicked the butts of the guys her uncle brought lol For a moment there, when they talked about their parents, I thought it'd turn out that there's some kind of history between his family and her father, or that he at least heard about her father somewhere. I still think there might be something there, the guy wouldn't know such moves out of nowhere.
I only watched the first episode so far, but the start is very promising and I'm really curious how it is going to develop. And it's very interesting that usually, I find the female leads pretty annoying at the start but for the second time I'm seeing Tian Xiwei's FL, I don't actually feel that way about her character and find her entertaining more than annoying, and that's always great.
And I'm guessing they will be a couple, too. I suspect that when the plot develops, it will evolve into a very cute one, given the Gongsun Yin has a very cute guy energy.
She's a princess, btw? I have missed that lol
