Um I don't know what you're talking about, all good poetry is like that. Many often have more than 2 meanings of the same word. English is more simple in terms of its usage in poetry, but other languages often have poetry like that.
I cannot comment on the condensation of Chinese words/letters that convey a larger meaning, I'll take your word for it. I enjoyed the article, but 80% of the lyrics were pretty straightforward to me. (For eg : Threads as a metaphor for relationships is common)
I'd like to read more such articles about Chinese music. My favourite Cdrama ost is Suzaku Street by Song Bin Young from Moonshine & Valentine.

The trailer is English subbed on YT, from there join the facebook group. The translator did the work alone from viet subs, it's really good. Better than many officially subbed Chinese dramas.

No its quite interesting so far. The 4main characters are interesting. As someone who came in blank this is quite good. 7. 5/10 for now. I gave 6/10 to She was pretty & 8 to Dots, if that gives you any reference.

Nice list. I would like to say that Fight For My Way had a little bit of realism because it weighed dreams against personal harm. I did not find it slow, it was well done through out. It talked openly & maturely about sexual attraction, not many dramas do that. My favourite line from that drama is when the ML tells the FL that they don't have to check sex like a to do list to go from best friends to bf/gf.

I would add web drama shorts like Story About Some, Splash Splash Love, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, First Love Story S1 & S2, 100 Days My Prince, Love in the moonlight, Eternal Love S1 & 2 (Cdrama).
