Since you like this, tell me why they like each other. In the 2nd phase they showed us the honeymoon dating stage then jealous JY & cut to him being like I know her, I know how hard she works. He seems more into her than she does into him. They're very different people, & I find their struggle through jealousy & disconnect realistic. I just don't understand when they moved on from attraction & understanding to love.
I'm confused. In ep 6 I thought the kitchen moment happened with the modern Mo Lian Cheng, but in the morning the ancient past 8th prince ate dumplings. So did the door interaction happen with Modern MLC but kitchen interaction with past MLC? Why doesn't modern MLC tell Tang'er that he came to the Dong Lue too & all the fiasco that has happened so far? Now that she's in Dong Lue she would be more likely to believe him. Why is he being so casual?
Love the term coffee table dramas! Coffee table books are light interesting reads.... So dramas like that should be a term! Please write an article about coffee table dramas, I'd love to read about them.
Only minus I can say about this drama is the ML's sister she annoys me so much he needs to tell her off (and the…
I agree. She's a grown up now & needs to be told off. Same with the parents, he's an adult, they're keeping tabs on him like he's a teenager. Even in Asian families parents don't ask too many questions to the boys, his family is making a big deal over a small thing in the life of an adult man.
The serial killer thing was unnecessary. They could have made it a bus accident, a scam scheme or a political family's heir gone wildly violent on drugs (to tie in with On Joon Young's current profession), but the serial killer, why? Its a serial killer, not candy ????. Why a serial killer? Are they that common? I don't think so. I get the whole point they were trying to make :- that while the whole world around them was talking about a big tragedy, a smaller tragedy in comparison, but big to them was happening & wreaking havoc. But like why a serial killer? When they brought up the serial killer I thought the brothers girlfriend would be off, but no they did something else instead. I kind of saw that coming with the construction job but still.
Why does this drama's rating on MDL keep dropping? D: 8.3? But the first two episodes were gold TT... Imo a better…
I agree. The first 2 episodes were strong openings in my opinion too. The Beauty Inside was softer in comparison for me, this is pacing itself well & nothing feels forced so far. In TBI I'm like yeah your actions will lead to rumours & scandals, & I get she was scared but you can't tell me that she's become seasoned at handling her changes & not just use a scarf instead of a conspicuous blanket. Only her face & hair length appeared different; a scarf, a mask & big sunglasses would have covered it.
1. Pearl Harbour would make for a great kdrama. Put it under Japanese or Chinese rule setting, add in a doctor as a third male lead.... & you'll have a drama. If you make it as a sageuk then the ML can be a warrior or commander, the nurse can be masquerading as a performer & you'll have a drama ???? 2. Twilight Saga would obviously make for a great kdrama. It's got the clumsy, unaware of her beauty humble girl from a broken home... & a rich mysterious guy ???? 3. Bicentennial Man 4. Hatim Tai would make for a great Cdrama.
I tried watching the korean and the chinese new version, but both times I ended up dropping it. This (and itazura…
Oh my god, you'll give the show makers ideas & the next adaptation might actually have them as Instagram celebrities to get them out of realistic expectations & into the unbelievably cushy life.
What a well written article. I never paid attention to any of these points because I thought the irrationality was the part about becoming human. But now that I've read it, you're right. The show didn't give us clear conditions or circumstances where NS3 could break his rules. However it did say that NS3 can understand & read human emotions & adapt to them to be a companion, so some changes can be explained through that.
Cute wise I'd add 1.Nam Sin 3 from Are You Human Too 2. Noh Ji Wook from Suspicious Partner "You're dirty but you're pretty" 3. Dong Man from Fight My Way
SONG SONG COUPLE FTW UGH. My favorite male lead currently was surprisingly Choi Jin Hyuk in Devilish Joy. Oof…
Omg yes. Joon Hee was an almost perfect boyfriend except for the part where he couldn't understand the problems of being a female in an Asian society. He deserves a mention.
