Yeah he’s def delusional and an asswipe hypocrite.
It's really good apart from some very infuriating characters.
I can also see that you haven't watched Joy of Life yet, that drama is the best drama I've ever watched. Can't recommend it enough. Though I'm sure you've been recommended it before. :D

Most dramas always gotta have at least one character like that it seems... The worst one I've seen so far was Liu Xue Yi's character in Love and Redemption.
I always love and hate characters like that Ming Hua guy.
"I sent a person to kill a bunch of people, how dare those people fight back and send someone to kill my guy. They are evil. But not me." "The only reason I want to rebel is because you thought that I might one day want to rebel. You betrayed me, but of course I'm not betraying you..."
These delusional hypocritical characters... Can't help but love to hate them.
I'll admit, I'm not a huge racing fan and was ready to drop this after 15 minutes. But halfway through this series…
I was confused about the sheep scene, cause those were goats, not sheep lol. Why did they translate it as sheep I wonder? unless they said sheep in Chinese too? I don't know I don't speak Mandarin.
So here’s a question or a conundrum; since we all assume ML is our ninja from episode one why doesn’t he use…
Wondering the same, but I'm just assuming it's for the same reason most dramas that introduce a ML with a special power in the beginning, don't seem to use it again until the end. Budget. I'm also currently watching White Cat Legend where the ML can transform into a cat, but we haven't seen him do this since episode 6, and it's now on episode 18.
The poster is good, is there a sword fight in it, is it choreographed well?
There are sword fights and such, but so far so focus has been more on political scheming and internal strife.
The few fight scenes we've gotten have been decent so far in my opinion. Some janky cuts between actor and stunt man, but that always seems to be the case. Nothing outright bad though. :D
Lol the sudden Christmas song in ep 17. Li Bing walked in on them telling Chen Shi a scary story, and then all of a sudden I just hear "Deck the halls with boughs of holly"... Made me chuckle lol.
As someone who's watched far sillier and much lower budget dramas, this is really not silly at all to me. It has a good balance of comedy and drama in my opinion. Ding Yu Xi and Zhou Qi are really bringing a lot to their characters, and I'm loving their dynamic so far. I don't think the comedy is over the top at all.
I really enjoyed the first 6 episodes and am eagerly awaiting the next ones. So far this drama is right up my alley.
Because it's not really time travel... ;) you'll find out how he came to be where he is. :) Don't remember in…
So from what I remember, and from how I understood it, the world ended (apocalypse type thing) and some of the surviving scientists and other people, made this like facility where they lived, and waited until the world rebuilt, and civilisation restarted (like you said). They also have certain people's DNA and memories stored there I think. The ML's Mother then went outside the facility to explore the world and learn about the new people. Then she became pregnant, and went back to the facility where she implanted the memories of the ML into the fetus i think, because that was always their goal... To put certain people from the past civilisation into this new civilisation in order to help guide them, and prevent them from making the same mistakes again.
This is just how I understood it. I could be wrong. :)
I heard that they had to change this from the original novel, since certain sci fi elements are banned in china or something. So I believe in the original it is Time travel/transmigration.
Definitely not similar to my most anticipated dramas, the fact that Joy of Life Season 2 isn't on here baffles me, but everyone likes different things.
I also don't watch a lot of modern day C-dramas, so none of those are on my list.
1. Joy of Life Season 2 2. White Cat Legend 3. Immortal Ascension 4. Chasing the Moon (Moonlight Mystique is a terrible name) 5. Burning Flames 6. Follow Your Heart 7. Demon Hunter's Romance
There are more that I'm looking forward to, but they don't have much information known. No trailer, and unknown release year.
Edit: I know JoL s2 doesn't have a confirmed release for 2024, but I can't imagine it would be anything else considering they released a trailer last year.
Although I doubt they'll be able to do the source material justice, with what I've heard is only 5 movies, I'm still looking forward to this. If only to see my favorite characters played out in live action. :)
Side note. I'm also not that big of a fan of the casing, as i feel many of the actors are a bit too old for their roles, especially considering the 5-10 ish years it'll be before movie 5 comes out. If that ever does happen.

She's really good at playing a villain character, Absolutely despised her character in MMH

I'm impatient too but hopefully there'll be a few episodes out by the time I wake up tomorrow. :D

Q3 release was confirmed by Netflix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjpoiU4_SHE
I was hoping to start season 1 soon but didn't wanna watch it until season 2 was close to release, seems I'll have to wait a bit longer.

When you skip to a later part of characters lives.
It's just a narrative device used to quickly advance a story. :)
