Title Egoist
This is... a heartbreak. I just had a premonition of what my life would be - designer clothes in my wardrobe in the empty apartment, and then I am the old lady among old things, and then I die of something very painful, with only crushing loneliness to follow me around. These characters are like the stages of my life. Such a superb beautiful quality movie. They say you get better when you suffer, even if it's by proxy via the movie, so I must have gotten so much better today. Honestly, I must be an egoist too because I want to cry over the emptiness and heartbreak that awaits me, just like Koske san... Now if you excuse me, I will be doing exactly that quietly in the corner.

I absolutely, and I mean absolutely, unconditionally, completely love these series! Such a beautiful romantic slices of life! Every story has its potential to be a whole standalone series that I personally would gladly watch, but as it is, it is like a short travel diary or postcards you send out from afar. It makes me go and travel to Thailand again, to meet strangers, to find my people, to fall in love with food, nature, myself and life itself anew. There is so much beautiful romance in this which isn't going over the top, it isn't vulgar or ridiculous, this is just beautiful! All about feelings. I got so many wonderful emotions and inspiration from this, so I want to thank everyone who made the series. Please do more if you can too 🥰

Do I have to watch cutie pie to watch this?
You don't have to watch this at all, in fact I strongly recommend to not watch any of it :)

Sooo, I've just finished ep 4 right now and I have a question, could someone help me answer it, please? (don't…
They tried to explain it, but nevdr really did. To me it seems like another dropped plotline like the car accident, which was attempted murder but no one really cared in the end. Also I find it problematic that Yi wants to have intimacy with Diao at any given moment, but never really wants to get married, which I thought was the reason. In the end they have intimacy and they are getting married, so maybe there is that?

Okay, I think there is so much hate in this world, and also tastes differ, so if I don't like something, I consider it being not my thing and don't go hating around and refrain from negative reviews, but I just have one question - how is the rating for this so high?? Honestly, this is one of the worst series I have ever seen. The plot is so full of loopholes and problems that they drop that at some point I stopped even counting. What is the plot of this anyway? Two guys engaged since the early childhood due to tiger attack who was the dog in Cutie Pie and want to get married through problematic financial contract which everyone forgets about in the end? And the most problematic thing for me is how Nat is physically smaller and tinier compared to Max, and considering he also behaves overly infantile, like a toddler, not even like a teenager, this all creates a very wrong visual picture and gives child molesting vibes. I really hope both actors will get more harmonious partners in their future projects that would be, well, better.

I need to say, that I strongly dislike ABO genre (AU? Trope?) ever since my acquaintance with Ursula K. Le Guin's books. She is a brilliant and unique classic writer, but all of this twisted sexuality/gender influencing social behavior tropes (it's even hard to explain in one sentence) is just not for me. And I feel like ABO fics are a huge downstep from Le Guin's worlds, narrowing it to wolf pack sort of thing... I dunno, just meh. And among a lot of ABO fics I ever gave a go, maybe one I even found tolerable. BUT I rushed watching these series as soon as I learned they are doing it, because I couldn't believe it. Yes!!! Thank you everyone who is bringing it on screen!!! I feel like this means all of us fic writers and readers are not marginalized perverts who live in the shadows anymore, but a valid audience with its own shows. Making BL worlds live on screen is still unbelievable enough, but ABO is next level. And I honestly enjoyed the first episode! The show ticks a lot of common tropes, like racing setting, mafia coming later I suspect, unrequited love, pining, debt-motivated prostitution, etc. etc. But hey, we are literally here for this! Handsome actors, beautiul quality shots (especially the drift scene, I loved it!) good dialogues, story seems interesting, I am hooked!!! My favorite scene was when Charlie tried on seducing Pit Babe, who made this eyeroll at the modest attempt to impress him - you guys, this is real acting!!! I love it!!! Good luck to the series, keep up the good work. For everyone who hates it - well just don't watch it. I see this as a pivotal revolution happening in popular culture.

This is far better than LOA. I watched LOA because they were the ones who did this series. I liked LOA as well…
Laws of Attraction - another series with the same main lead actors.
Nan/Mac are the most convincing and interesting couple for me here and they only have like 3 scenes in the whole series, so please make me a series about them or I will write it myself, I swear!
Overall I think this is solid 7 or maybe even 8. If you compare it with KinnPorsche for example (because mafia and abusive relationships), it has less loopholes, but also many things you have to just guess. The cake shenanigans.... why.?? It's too much. I have never been so happy to finally see a character being slapped, because god knows I wanted to slap him myself since the moment Itt entered the screen. I was willing to pay someone to see it. Itt is an annoying and completely unlovable character omg. I couldn't help but repeat Day's questions on how and why could he fall for... this. It is vaguely explained that this is explained by their previous history that we don't really get to see. Probably they tried to tone the violence down, but if you're making a story about literally 3 couples that started their relationship with rape, you gotta be more specific, because I guessed that and then had to read the prequel synopsis to be sure. Also this should be clearly rated as dub/non-con unless you wanna get too many negative reviews from fluff loving viewers. I don't think there are any good stories about that, so please just make one! I am really looking forward to that prequel btw, please don't let me down. It has to explain everything what is missing from this story. The main villain is utterly disappointing because his motivation is unclear to me. A child with a lot of resources kidnaps and tries to kill a few main leads because..? They never really explained why. And of course as all the relationships unfold you get to see that apparently Mr. Kamol is the only decent man in the whole series - he is a loving and protective stepdad, he is the only one who seduced his lover and didn't put him through sexual slavery. I really wish this actor starred in Unforgotten night, the Kamol there is stiff and way too young, saying nothing of the lack of charisma. I am so looking forward to more series with this actor, I definitely have a new crush. The intertwine between series is brilliant tho, I love such Easter eggs.

I personally loved LOA much better, because you can actually see MCs attracted to each other.
On To Sir, with Love Oct 11, 2023
If you watch BL for BL romance, this is not for you. It is a complicated emotional action about murder and homophobia. I personally enjoyed the story for complexity and intensity of it, but love between brothers has more emotions than between lovers, almost as if they tried to tone gay down as much a possible. The murders and corpses are so scary I think I will not be eating mushrooms anytime soon. Not even coming close to them I think. Another thing I didn't like is how most characters act, and I think the series would greatly benefit if they shortened it to 12-13 episodes, speeding the pace of a story anf reducing all those empty scenes.

Bosston and Jo, the secondary couple have the best story and great scenes. I wish the series were about them. The main couple has no chemistry and literally makes no sense. They, and majority of the cast act terribly, like it's an unprepared school play. Punn behaves like a toddler which is honestly rather unpleasant and cringeworthy, and the fake drama in the end is literally less plausible in any of the series I watched. I would discourage everyone from watching it all, but well actor and his doctor... 🔥🔥 Skip the rest tho.

It is actually very good series. Anyone who wants to watch steamy scenes or bold confessions - go watch something else. Lots of action, characters that make sense (most of the time), gorgeous actors and interiors, almost zero typical nonsense. The love between characters is palpable and you can take it two ways - either see how love is possible without physical side of things, which is very realistic and true to life especially in highly homophobic societies (like most that we live in). You can treasure pleasant time shared, easy laughs, casual touches and attention, so many things can be precious memories and signs of love. This is true to not only gay couples. OR you can just accept that intimacy happened every time main characters wake up naked in one bed together (because in my opinion what else can that be lol). Guys struggle with their own feelings and the world around them, and still end up together AND their families accept them. Happy ending. I enjoyed very much, thank you!
The only thing which I find rather... mental and truly cringeworthy is the ending. Health issues, okay, but that cartoon?!?!? Wft, sorry, it spoiled all the pleasant impression of the series.
On Step by Step: Uncut Version Aug 4, 2023
It was interesting in the beginning, but then sort of spiraled down the hill with loop holes. The delivery episode is... Each and every Thai series whenever anyone has headache, immediately they are admitted to the hospital, but no one thought of bringing the woman during childbirth to the hospital?? Or at least calling an ambulance??? And strangers filming it??? Also generally many characters's motives are unclear. Guy is in love with his perfect boss and is miserable because he thinks this is unreciprocated, but when boss confessed he likes him very much, he just leaves and is even more miserable. They are afraid to kiss and even touch in public, but then just have sex in front of the panoram window to the street where literally anyone can see them?? If it's a kink who am I to judge, but it makes no sense. Also what did boss do with his father as a plot I did not understand, I watched that dialoga few times. If you can explain to me, I wouldbe grateful. Also explain to me please how can you be a chef cooking at the restaurant AND going to the office full time?
Jaab (god what a gorgeous actor!) is pining for his colleague/friend who is taken, and is completely miserable, when his crush comes to him saying he broke up with his boyfriend for him, Jaab just leaves and ghosts him - wtf??? I know there are people who just like to be miserable about something, so probably that's the case? He never wanted to be happy in the first place? I dunno, so many questions, series seems unpolished, badly edited and raw.
