What a wonderful comment, I second everything you say!

First episodes are fun and enjoyable, but then it sort of stalled. I loved Ai long Nhai and hate to admit this is basically the same acting. At the point where drama starts happening, no one deliveres it, Guy has 3 recurrent facial explanations and "Oooi" line that is just... The breakup that happens over something that is solved in a day... So many scenes where characters eat and invite each other in the game, instead of truly telling their story. I guessed one of the characters was police, and it's a great idea, but like to what avail? 10 seconds of police? Clichéd one hero singlehandedly beats the whole gang? I don't know, is it bad writing maybe? Shame, cause it's a good story, cute actors, buy feels like it's a wasted potential. It's not bad, I have seen much worse, but it could be so much better.

The description sounds exactly like the Eclipse, but we'll see.

How can this boring, badly written nonsense get such high ratings is a mystery to me. Sometimes the story is lazy but the scenes and characters are pleasing to look at, this is not the case. Don't get me started on overused clichés and lack of chemistry, loopholes and common sense. So so bad. 4,5 out of 10 in my opinion.

Omg that was so bad... I watched Between us and it is still up to this day one of my top favorite BLs, which brought me to Even Sun... I only finished it because I already loved the actors before, but I swear to god I considered dropping it every 15 minutes. At se point it seemed like this is a rehersal or acting classes. The idea of the story where a guy is given into slavery to a late mafia boss' elder son as a collateral for his father's debt had all the potential of a cool hardcore 18+ mafia love story. KinnPorshe would have nothing on it! But instead we have a few cute characters who act various versions of one and the same scene in various locations. The setting of the series is visual paradise. If you're introducing a sadist mafia character, could you at least show it at night or something? Mafia boss leads a chained man, brings him to his knees in the broad daylight among other people and no one cares? Like nothing really happened! One character drugs another and brings him straight to another character's bed and they all light-heartedly laugh about it??? WHAT??? You can't introduce slave-master relationship and debt motivated prostitution and make it 13+! It's simply not possible. The series have so much potential that is just wasted. Blown away. All of the couples could potentially be so good, it's a very interesting. They are all amazing ideas that are as poorly written as poorly written can get. What is the love confession in the end? Came absolutely out of nowhere. It lacks at least 6 more episodes where the plot actually happens. I am so mad, because it's locations are so beautiful, all the actors are good, the idea is also good but the result.... what is this.... ugh. UGH. Someone please make a decent remake, I beg you. But hire an actual writer, pleeeese.

Except for the messy ending with the weird father, I enjoyed it a lot!!! And it is one of the cutest series ever.

Lol I agree on doctor doing anything but working, but apart from that I loved their love square, it makes all the sense. Look, there is a barista who is the BL shipper and she openly ships customers, takes unsolicited photos and posts them on Facebook group for everyone to squee and thirst upon. One day she takes a picture of 2 colleagues and old time friends and suggests they are a couple. One of the doctors is gay and he likes his friend, but not hard enough to hit on him. The photo gets to the hospital where they work where their other female colleagues ship them too. I know might argue that people like this don't exist and no one asks about your relationship status at work so bluntly, but I work at a huge office and I faced that too, so this shit totally happens even outside Thailand. So then the doctor goes to investigate at the coffee shop "thirsty" (I laughed so hard every time they showed the name), finds out who took the picture and threates to take matter further to police. To save her ass batista apologizes and makes the doctor question if he really is gay. He has a gay panic moment if he really might be since he apparently never had a girlfriend and is closest to his friend. Trying to figure is sexuality he figures he really likes the girl and well using all of his inexperienced dumbness he tries to get closer to her by playing her gay male friend. Because they are a perfect couple she is equally dumb and tries to set him up with a guy by giving him tasks like invite a guy to movies, etc. In the process she gets really sick and he plays along with all this stupid assignments because he likes her and he wants to support her. His gay doctor friend shuts him down by not playing along and he accidentally drags batistas brother into this, who eventually falls for doctor for real. There is a heartbreak for brother when he sees doctor kissing his sister, but they all make it up in the end, and it's hinted the gay doctor has eyes for the brother so they may be together. Having put a little more details and thoughts into it this love square could be a whole series in itself and it could be nice, I would watch it 😁

Many of cute BL shows are filled with cringe - cringey characters or scenes or cheesy jokes, well this show is a rare exception. There is none. No unnecessary overdramaric emotions or hysterics. Show is moderate and nice. Characters make adult decisions. And all the actors are so cute! Like omg this is the cutest cast. I absolutely loved everyone. This isn't 99% male and 1% dormitory aunty cast, and female characters aren't even annoying! I loved all 3 of the couples. The complicated love square between two doctors, batista and her brother is even surprisingly interesting. There are a few funny jokes and regular university shenanigans. And all goes very well until father comes in the picture. What the hell is his motivation? Like if you want to make him a bad guy, okay, but like one moment he orders to lock his son and starve him, another moment he helps his son's boyfriend get a job, wtf? I don't know maybe it's a translation issue, but there are entirely too many loopholes. Like they say students should sit on the bus according to their faculties and then doctors sit with engineers, they say "i checked the booking and we are in the room with you" and then there is no room at all. While stuff like that can be left unnoticed, the ending where father adopted a kid "until you're adolescent to legally adopt" - characters are 1st and 4th year at the university, so that's 19 and 21, and why is this adoption happening at all if it was never discussed to begin with? Or then one character lost his mother when he was little and his whole persona is shaped around this loss of a mother. Then he asks his boyfriend "come to Britain with me, I want to introduce you to my mother" Eh?? Dead mother? Or loss mean she left him? Again, it may be a transition issue as well as a loophole. Still anyway I was about to rate it 9 until last episode which looks completely illogical to me, so it's 7. Still cute boys and no cringey shenanigans is amazing to watch.

My undying love for Lee Dong Wook and sassy Russian fox Yuri is the only thing that helped me finish the series. It has a few good jokes and the lore seems interesting, but otherwise it's so boring! And Female lead is somehow so annoying. There is a difference between strong assertive female lead (that I adore) and annoying bees that act pissed and angry all the time.
