Oh honestly after watching this, I am hopeful CY will do well as SM. I really like her voice too. Agreed, though not as main role, the actress can portray that ‘obsession’ of Ms Hong, like ‘I would do anything for love’ kind of attitude, and she did give all the vibe of no dignity, just LY in her eyes. But she is very vibrant, and alive. A shei is pretty but her presence doesn’t leave any impact to me. Almost like I didn’t notice her at all lol. When she was around, I was fine. When she is gone, I don’t miss her. Lucky they named her Ashei (easy and short), otherwise I probably wouldn’t even remember her name in this drama…

Nah, I don’t think she loves her sect people that much. She loves her teacher that’s for sure, but not her people. And I wouldn’t say she was pampered too, because in many cases, her teacher didn’t even stand up for her when being challenged by other leaders. The teacher kept telling her, doing good deeds has price. Honestly, at this point, how do people prove she was fake or she was involved? It was TLC who informed royal family about her tattoo, and she basically could pretend she didn’t know anything. Or even if XFT raised that, how did she know unless she was involved? Meaning, she would be procecuted as well no? I don’t know, the drama didn’t explain the rule, so sometimes it’s hard to make sense for me…

Amazing right?! For someone his small, and I do admit he is thin, but he manages to look so elegant and dominating in his every presence. You need so much aura and move skills to be able to do so. Nowadays, in this c drama world, every male actor is tall and big, and yet he manages to be top actor, main role all the time after Runyu. Meaning his skill is really acknowledged!

I mean at least XFT has been true from the start…and she is very clear on her goal, and consistent. Her character is well written and portrayed. Just the people are too dumb to trust her so easily. ZCJ is just sooo out of place…

Yes, you are right! That’s why I said I took it back, because I remembered how simple Runyu’s costume was and yet still so dazzling, haha. I mean, I dunno what it is about LYX! He is not typical new generation actors who are at least 185cm, big and wide and tall…and yet, he is soooo dazzling and elegant!

Gosh, this drama is really leveraging LYX’s charisma in ancient costumes! They intentionally keep making grand entrance for TLC, and each time he made his grand entrance he would be wearing new set of glamour costume. Now I will have high expectation on any LYX’s next ancient dramas 😭, only high quality costumes can be worn!!!
The part that I think is the biggest loophole is ZCJ’s character corruption. It just doesn’t make sense, considering how righteous she was. And I said before, I didn’t feel strong obession from her towards TLC to drive her change. And after watching ep 38, I could feel how attached and deep her love for her teacher, so it feels so unnatural for her to disappoint her righteous teacher just for a princess status which doesn’t even get her any benefit in the jiangsu world…did they cut 10 episodes which showed her character’s corruption progress or what…😒
