Yes, the presumption is the father is the husband, however, if enough evidence is given to the court, a 3rd party absolutely can file a paternity suit. I was just reading up on this yesterday. The court can then ask for a DNA test to determine paternity.
Full custody usually goes to the mother when they are young. As they get older, the father can take it back to court and in most cases award them to the father because he is more capable, financially, of supporting them.

Yep, they totally left us all completely in the dark for a whole year in 1 episode. We have no clue how the other relationships are going at this point. They wrapped up the whole JM and Hw storyline so really I couldn’t care less if they ever show them again and really there isn’t any need to now. They are done. I have never cared for YM and I think DW deserves much better than her and after she turned against our couple too I was X-ing her out already. Don’t care. You have to file with a court to be legally separated. Usually it’s filed in conjunction with divorce - depends on what your state or country’s laws are concerning divorce.
