From my perspective, I have another explanation regarding this whole situation with the cheerleader, YY, and BH. I think BH and YY started dating after the show and are still together.

As for this girl, I believe she was indeed in a relationship with BH before he joined the show. Some Chinese netizens reportedly saw them together at the airport, heading to Vietnam, a few months before the show started. They may have broken up afterward, with BH entering the show single and leaving in a relationship with YY.

Regarding the wallpaper with the photos of the cheerleader and BH together, those pictures were probably taken when they were dating. Someone in her circle of friends may have kept the photos and made them public later.

However, if the girl actually has that wallpaper with their photos on her KakaoTalk profile, then that’s a whole different story.

But it looks like he’s lasted with YY, they’ve been dating for 8 months now. If they stay together, it’ll be one year in June.
So… I don’t know if he’s the bad guy, if HJ is, or if it’s both of them. Maybe their personalities just don’t match or maybe YY is adjusting to him.

Lol, too late to say it since the show is over, but now that I’ve watched the whole season and with some hindsight, I think BH never really wanted his ex back despite all his behaviors we saw. He just wanted her to stay attached to him, to never forget him , maybe even to choose him in the end even though he knew he would never pick her. It was more about boosting his ego than anything else.

He really reminds me of Gyumin from season 2: the moment he stepped into the house, he already said he would never get back with his ex, Haeeun. BH was the same , from day one, he was firm and categorical that he would never go back to HJ, whether she chased after him or not.

Im not a fan of this couple but i think they’re actually dating for real, there are a lot of signs on their Instagram that prove it.

Actually, BH looks like he dates people like friends. I’ve always said that he and YY give off more of a friends vibe than a lovers vibe. Even in the photos shown at the end of the episode (after the show), something felt off, there was a lack of real affection; it just looked like friends hanging out.

Looking back, I think BH wanted HJ to chase him (like he’s done before to her), to fight for him until the end, to keep texting him even if he didn’t reciprocate, so he can change his mind and choose her. When she didn’t do that, he got disappointed and ended up picking YY.

It’s crazy how things turned out for these bestfriends YS and BH. YS was nice at the beginning and the most popular guy, so I thought he would have a happy ending. BH was the ‘villain’ from the start, so I thought he’d end up single. But it turned out completely differently, BH got the happy ending, and YS ended up with the ‘bad ending,’ staying single after the show.

After all, BH chose someone (YY) who is on the same social level as him (modest, low maintenance). HJ, is a flight attendant, and flight attendants tends to choose men who are financially well-off. Her job involves traveling, living a rather glamorous lifestyle, and being exposed to pple of different nationalities and social statuses, which can be fascinating for her. That’s why HJ would be more drawn to someone like a doctor, a lawyer, or a businessman...

So even if BH had chosen her and she had chosen him in return, I don’t think they would have made it to marriage. Their relationship would have remained at the dating stage, especially from HJ’s side. BH doesn’t have a job that could meet HJ’s lifestyle or expectations, and I think he was aware of that. That’s likely one of the reasons — among others — why he refused to go back to her. I also noticed that he has a bit of an inferiority complex when he’s with HJ, which would probably lead to arguments and eventually a breakup.

If BH had a good job and financial stability, HJ would have held onto him at all costs. Let’s not forget that her initial goal was to go back to SY; if he hadn’t used the word “liberation,” that ruin everything. It shows that she was ultimately looking for a man who is financially secure first and (Kindness became one of her criteria after joining the show.)

She knew her and YS have different priorities in life.
She chose YS at the end because BH didn’t choose her. If BH had chosen her, she would have gone with him and left YS.

Rumors say they dated for only 3 months, others say it was just 1 week, but I personally think they didn't date at all. It feels more like they chose each other in the end then went their separate ways.

YY has a selfish side, and she showed it again by dating BH even though she knew better than anyone that he still love HJ. Similarly, when she dated her ex’s best friend while he was in the army, she was inconsiderate of JH’s feelings and followed only her own feelings. Now, she has feelings for BH, which is why she is staying with him, but when those feelings fade, she will leave him. As for BH, he chose her mainly because she likes him more than he likes her, making it a "safe" choice to avoid getting hurt.

In the car, the stares, the emotions between them it was not normal ...BH wanted reassurance from HJ before making his decision, because I believe he actually wanted to choose her, but he hesitated. He wasn’t sure she would pick him too ( they always seem to misunderstand each other’s intentions) but he was scared of being rejected first, even though she had almost chosen him.

I’m sure that if he had chosen her, she would have gone with him, and not with YS.

Then I got curious and watched the cast interview for Exchange 4, and I noticed that BH barely glanced at YY, he still kept looking at HJ, even though his ex was sitting at the other end. But you can’t lie about those glances.

Now YY better prepare for some sleepless nights.

Honestly, the outcome was predictable from episodes 14/15. With YS x HJ, it was clear they wouldn’t last because their values didn’t align.

I’m shoked that BH chose YY and that they’re dating in real life. But personally, I don’t take this couple seriously. In the final images we were shown, I didn’t see any real affection between them, it felt more like a friends vibe, unfortunately.

Let’s be honest: BH is still in love with HJ. There’s no real space in his heart for someone else. I also don’t believe his relationship with YY will last a year; I think it will end within a few months.

And finally, YY watched the show… yet she’s still staying with him???

Yeah, it’s clear they’re no longer together. Honestly, who really thought they’d last? It wasn't serious… I was shocked that he liked that comment—he was so transparent. But I’m not sure if he got back together with MK or not, because some say they’re together, but MK said she doesn’t want him anymore if he chooses HJ. Idk maybe he got back with MK, like the exes from previous seasons.

With all the skinship he’s had with the girls...., any girl who has a crush on a guy would see her crush acting like BH would turn her off.

With HJ, as everyone has noticed, there’s a real sexual tension going on between them. I’m not saying he necessarily wanted to get back with her, but it seems more like he wants to be in a situationship with her. If you watched episode 9 and episode 20, you saw how close they got to each other when they hugged and BH held her close in a strangely intense hug.
He is clearly physically attracted to her, and if they ran into each other outside, they’d probably do the same thing, maybe even worse since there’d be no cameras.

I’m not here to spread hate; I’m just stating facts based on his behavior in the show, which still reflects a bit of who he really is. This isn’t a movie or a series where he’s acting a role; in this show, he’s still himself.

I understand that some see this as a contradiction, but just because someone expresses an opinion different from yours doesn’t mean they’re automatically a hater. You have to keep an open mind and accept theories other than your own.

HJ didn’t like his pics? And he didn’t like HJ’s or YY’s photos either. HJ also didn’t like YS’s photo, but I assume it was to avoid spoiling the final episode. Meanwhile, YY rushed to like his photos… I hope she’s no longer with him now, after the show.

I just go to baekhyun IG nahh I believe rumor that Baekhyun F.. every girl at hongdae, i think what he likes abt HJ is her model body, bc he gives off a really pervers vibe. And the craziest part is that YY liked all his Instagram posts... Poor girl, she must have fallen hard for this player

I don’t feel BH will choose YY; he’s definitely going for HJ.
