In Korean there IS a difference between the two, believe it or not. Different words ( 'o' vs 'eo' sound )and slightly different pronunciation -> which, native Koreans can distinguish easily (somehow) but I'm not good enough to distinguish this lol.
The 'master li' and ’master lee' options are so dirty. They are literally identical, just depends on eng translation VS the more accurate korean interpretation...
Just...awful, all around with no redeeming qualities. Action is some of the worst I've ever seen. Villain knows he won't get shot so he just stands still / sits still and indeed, everyone misses him. He might be magneto actually. Then, the deaths just make no sense. One policewoman literally walked forward in a straight line on the battlefield (she thinks she's invincible...I guess.) and got shot, duh. That scene was mindboggling, same goes for all of the action scenes, ALL OF THEM, in this entire show.
One of the worst shows I've ever had the displeasure of watching, right after the highs of finishing Fated Hearts with some of the best actions and hype sequences in recent memory.
Do not watch this. A waste of time. Terrible acting, mediocre story, the WORST action I've seen in a long time. How did they mess up every single aspect of a show like this? Fascinating, in the worst possible way.
Calling "watchable" is already an overstatement. "Background noise and then occasionally looking at the screen" is more accurate.
Watching Xiyang in love is like warning her: "look, there's a car right there and it's heading your way, get out of the way!" and she's like "nah I'd win, I love the car!" and proceeds to get hit by the car.
EP14: hot take, taking everything into consideration, she is NOT hitting that shot. Even if there was no interference, just...look at how far away the MOVING target is.
EP6: I mean, she knows what she wants and she made the decision after careful consideration so...even if there is any unforeseen consequences, let her deal with it. She is ultimately, the master of her own life. Xi Yang is not a kid anymore mate.
"Bro you can like Fu Yixiao but I can't like that guy? Huh? Double standards bruh"
But, genuinely, the show is so good I can't stop watching lol (Don't understand the comments about it being 'meh', like it's kinda unrealistic but it's so good lol)
Ep4: Ngl, the villain (I think) has a point. Rebooting the war? Like, right away? I immediately thought of 2 iconic lines: “國之本在家,家之本在身” + “君子報仇 十年不晚”
Even if you wanna reboot the war, you won't do it immediately lmfao. Think of the people. Yes, you feel bad about the loss, you think it's shameful. But personal feelings about shame should not take precedence over the lives of the people living in your country. You can be patient and take revenge like, 10 years later, prepare tremendously and then one-shot them, that's fine. Rebooting the war immediately after a loss is actually stupid.
When watching episode 1, I just have one nitpick (maybe I'm OCD), couldn't they have, y'know, printed a Japanese AND Korean version of the Model Taxi leaflet? Bro you guys are in Japan rn lol.
Whenever I feel like I need a laugh, I go to episode 7 for "The Red Sleeve" reference lmao. The whole sequence with "How impertinent" was awesome.
Even after so many dramas (cdramas, jdramas, kdramas) this is still the go-to comfort food. It's warm and fluffy, just nice moments all around. Sometimes, just them eating instant noodles near the seafront is good enough as comfort watch lol
But the "Lee" vs "Li" one was awful.

"There are too many people just like you in history. I don't want you all to turn into cold, dead numbers in a history book."
Edit: Bro was absolutely ruthless in ep 27
Victim can't read Korean? Welp you're cooked
