I can't wait for ep 2, 3, and so on. I wish they aired 3 episodes per day, but that will end so quick 😭 why only 29 eps???? I hate to wait, but at the same time I don't want to see spoiler everywhere so I have to watch.
Can anyone please explain to me what is going on in ep 1 and 2. This is my very first time watching a military drama. I just started watching it today and I am so confused right now. Why do they have to run away from the other different group of soldiers?. Who are they going into war with?. Which group is good and bad?.

Have you watched the untamed?. If you have not, I highly recommend it to you. This is where I became a fan of Xiao Zhan and not only me but many other xfx (xz fans) too. I actually knew Yang Zi before XZ because I watched Ashes of love, my favorite drama of 2018.
Douluo Continent is not a great great drama but it is ok. I first watched it because of XZ but overall I enjoyed the story and every character. The only bad thing is the bgm and the story is completely different from the novel and anime which most novel and anime fans dislike about it.
I feel the same too for this drama. I am already so attached to the song they sang together. It drives away my stress and makes me feel so warm in the heart. And at the same time I want to scream at Hunan tv and tencent to release the drama already. Can't wait any longer T-T
