China forbids reincarnation genres in drama. Therefore they have to make a lot of changes to this story. I agree that Tang san's character would be better if they make him a little stronger and cool than he is, like how his character is in the novel and anime. However, since he is not the tang san that remembered his past and knows his skills since he was 6 and so mature and cool even when he was just a kid. While in this live action they show us a new tang san who is new to everything and learned from his dad and then went out on to school to learn more. I think the team building and friendship in this drama and anime are both good in their own way, but I just like how in this live action they put so much human to each character to make the characters look more relatable to us.

If you have a picture of Tang San and the plot/story from the anime/novel and compare it to the drama's then you will probably not enjoy this drama. This live action seems to show how every character develops their skill from weak to strong. I saw a lot of people complaining about Tang san's character. I actually like this tang san more than the anime or novel's tang san because they make him more human. They show us the efforts of tang san and his team from slowly growing their skills from weak to strong. They had a lot of good teaching and the characters had a good relationship. We learned about friends, teachers and family. This is a drama that is suitable for teaching to all ages. And It is a story that can be taught especially to teens and children.

I watched a few episodes about 6 eps I think, but I dropped it because I don't really like to watch donghua. I preferred live action. I get how the story is going and how this drama is different from the donghua, but I still enjoyed this drama as it is without comparing the two.

I've fallen in love with his looks during weibo night with his co-star yang zi and been thinking about this haha. I love the moment when he helped yang zi with her long train dress. Can't move on from it.

I know there are so many good drama out there. And I've watched a lot of them. My favorite drama before the untamed was Ashes of love. I thought I would never be able to move on from Ashes of love but then I watched the untamed and that is how it stopped me from watching c-drama for almost a year. And I felt like I lost my interest in c-drama. I don't know why, but I want to take a break haha because I just hate it when I become obsessed with a drama.
Seeing a lot of people love this drama. I haven't watched this yet because I'm scared to watch not because of bl or anything, but I just don't want to fall in love with another drama again like I did with the untamed last year hahaha because it destroyed my taste in many drama, lol. I love all of xz's characters, but wwx is a special one for me because he is who I fall in love with first and how I came to know xz :)
