I'm so happy that you enjoyed :) Takemine Hideko is a goddess. Chech out other films by Naruse Mikio, he had amazing women leads in Japanese cinema ever.

hehe, dobrze, ze kamera dodaje kilka (kilkanascie) centymetrow XD Az mi sie przypomnial film "Oblivion", ktory obejrzalam w kinie. Ten najnowszy film z Cruisem. Myslalam, ze padne, gdy nagle bardzo wysoki aktor jakim jest Nikolaj Coster Waldau byl zblizonego wzrostu XD Magia kina bedzie dzialac wiecznie.

there's something disturbing for me personally, kind of thinking - "ok, I can understand why is so popular but the storyline is somehow creepy". The thing going on between main leads is kinda weird for me. It's ok, but still, I can't turn off my thinking that something is just wrong, lol.
Enjoy watching!

Unique tastes in films are the best ;) I'm so happy I can share it with someone else! :)
It's a good drama, I enjoy acting and work of camera and coloring. But it has something really disturbing in the storyline - of course, it's the main subject but still, after watching episodes, I feel sometimes disturbed. But I think you should watch it, it's worth of time.

When you watch do many classics films, you should always end to read about history, it makes many things clearer. Still, I have films which are really hard to interprete or I found out how to understand them not long time ago (like "Ichi the Killer" and "Gozu", I was surprised I could understand this films after reading about zen buddhism... really, I have weird taste sometimes, lol).
I need to end finally "That Winter The Wind Blows", and I just started "Hungry".

Haha, yes, when I've seen the subject of the film I knew I need to watch it. I hope soon but now I don't have time and net to download, all I have taken on my lappy.
"When a Woman Ascends the Stairs" is pure amazing! I fell in love with Takemine Hideko. I've seen her in few films already. Sadly, Nakadai Tatsuya had only a minor role. I hope you'll like it ;) If you're not familiar with feminism in Japan after IIWW, check, film will be more clear :)

Widzialam, ze jeszcze gral niepoprawnego lowelasa. Nagral sie w romansach troche, az trafil do G.I. Joe XD Ale powaznie, pasuja mu role nieromantyczne, marnowali go troche na poczatku, albo dal sie marnowac.

It's hard to like every work by even favourite director. I've seen only "Pieta" by him so far.

I have this one on spot, like other films by Kim Ki Duk. He's definitely my type of a director.

I've read both ;) It happened that I watch Japanese films the most 'cause they have so many genres and ideas that it's really fun to watch them. I enjoy Korean films too but not typical romantic films (ok, except few with Lee Byung Hun :P) but I look for classics (very hard to find, they're kind of jewels of the torrents) and horrors or well known directors like Park Chan Wook or Kim Ji Woon. I want to start watch Hong Kong films but I don't have a heart for this moment.
I truly believe they had a very good reason for shutting down DC. Owners of the site won't tell really why 'cause it is something big. Copyright issues means a lot of money which dramafever or hulu would like to have. So yeah, I smell conspiracy :P

I'm always hungry for more, so many films to watch out there ;) My personal list is like 100 flicks long. Not only horror, but all possible classics - from very good ones to... meh ones :D

I see myself as Asian maniac but in a different way - I'm totally addicted to films and history. I really like dramas but I won't be as obsessed as I'm with films. And I aim for classics or "weird" or even horror (for many years I couldn't watch this genre, now from time to time I need to watch some).

Haha, I don't know when I'll complete my list. And of course, I'm watching so many films which are in the MDL's base but not on my PTW list. That's why it can't end XD

I want to watch this drama. I don't know when 'cause for my trip I picked some already (of course at first I wanted something totally different but all ended how it ended, but I'm satisfied). Japanese really have a thing for Dostoyevsky. And yeah, I'm planning to suffer with Princess Princess D... you're the one person who really can understand why I want to ;D
Enjoy watching!
