yes, I think she says 宝贝, which is an endearing term you call someone, like baby / sweetheart / honey - but it can be used for very close friends. bai lu always uses it when she calls esther yu on the phone

I don't know if that's true - I'm an international viewer and I feel like there's a good mix of both. And it's nice that you miss the OG cast, I think a lot of people do, but there's also nothing wrong with enjoying new seasons with new cast members :). also, if you miss the OG cast with deng lun and chen he and lu han, they have another variety show called 5Ha you might enjoy
i miss them too but i have a very soft spot for bai lu, this season feels like the best since chen he / deng lun left! i think li chen, zheng kai, and ab all shine more when there's someone who can raise the atmosphere and they don't need to be the center of attention, so it almost seemed like everyone had way more fun this season!
