i didn't really care that much although I preferred ZBB over WDH, but on weibo some fans keep attacking BL about how she doesn't deserve to be #1 over WHD, how he's more popular than her right now, etc etc.
I hope whoever the ML ends up being the fans can keep supporting the drama
this drama hasn't even started filming yet and there's already fans of the ML on weibo arguing about how he shouldn't be the second lead, and instead should be the first lead. 1) it hasn't even been confirmed he's joining 2) the author followed BL on weibo and she's the first choice 3) why can't the fans of ML be happy he's accepting a good script, instead of focusing on how he should be #1?

so each platform decides on the production of the drama, directors, and cast. they also decide on the "value". if it's more expensive it will be S+ for tencent and youku, iQiyi does a similar production value scale.
for instance, have you ever noticed that most of Bai Lu's dramas are on iQiyi and Zhao Lu Si's dramas are on Tencent? they will back the actor or the actress that they put the most value on. some actors/actresses that are not that well-known or don't have a history of good dramas might only qualify to be considered for B or B+ dramas.
there was a post that was popular on weibo a few weeks ago from a producer that was asked what actresses are most popular right now? and he said that from a producer's POV, the two right now are Zhao Lu Si and Bai Lu, because there's been so many dramas that haven't been able to air recently, that right now what they care about most is having actresses that don't cause any delays, etc. and Tencent is backing one and iQiyi the other.
so for TTEOM - youku is probably thinking that this will be a for sure hit, so they want to put it in a spot where it will get the most amount of traffic (that's how they earn money) and compete with the other major platforms. like how this summer it was LBFAD (iqiyi) vs LLTG (tencent) vs Immortal Samsara (youku)

No, not censorship - TTEOM is on Youku and Kunning will be broadcast on iQIYI (in china there are 3 major platforms that compete with one another, Youku, IQiyi, and Tencent) and TTEOM is considered to be a S+ grade drama for Youku, so they're holding off on it so that production value and airing slot will all be the best.
I don't think you will have trouble telling them apart though, BL looks very different in both!! :)

I know! TTEOTM finished in march and I thought for sure it'd be out by Q4 of this year or latest Q1 next year, but then I heard rumors that they might hold off on airing it until next summer!!! (usually summer or winter is considered the best time to air since alot of people are home)
