I completely agree with you about a lot, there was so much left unexplored and a bit to much fillers to connect the people to each other instead of on each stories... also agree about the casting. I wrote in my review that First felt a bit miscasted as well but after reading your review I think it may be more the lack of screen time for their that was the problem ... But Earth was definitely a miscast.

It had a nice balance indeed, that said the way teens act as well as how fast they get into adult behaviour (different kinds) varies a lot but this just felt so right somehow... without sounding like a prude...

She had the ultimate character development, they had us believing she would be just another overbearing controlling parent and she ended up going next to those traps but showing restraint... it was just so, so good. I loved that part... so little screen time so much meaning behind each of her interactions.
Also the look on his face when the mom talked about dating in the car how it went from I want to tell you... to never mind as I do not like girls I will end up disappointing you type of deal...
