Sad, creepy, odd, depressing... with a slight glimmer of light, but not really
This was probably one of the saddest and creepiest things I have ever watched. Leaving me with a sense of what did I just watch. Being different then anything I have ever seen, and I think I have seen quite a bit of different types of content, but this was definitely something new for me. It is well done, and it left me with a whole lot of questions, and a spinning head while still being oddly relatable. The living can be scary, phone calls are scary too... So if you have 42 minutes to spare and feel like watching something a tad different that will make you go what... this is definitely worth your time. I may come back and write again once I have processed this but right now my head is spinning trying to understand what I have seen.
Entertainment value very low, educational and representation value high
This movie feels like an educational movie to support HBTQ+ people with disabilities. The entire movie is in sign language and is really well done which makes it a bit heard to watch for those who are used to using their hearing, the surrounding sounds stick out in an almost painful way. the story itself is kind of sad and sweet at the same time and they do a pretty okay job showing diversity as well as these people as competent people worthy of love as well as a variety of responses people may get from society and loved ones all good and important issues pretty well done but does not really grab the average viewers attention. I do however hope that it is shown to many teens and that it can educate people as well as give hope to people struggling with their sexuality and/or living in a closed environment urging them to find a safe place with loving people. So all in all I am happy this exists but not much more and I know the entertainment business should be able to do this better, but seeing how hard it is to find this type of representation I guess I kind of get the feel of Ill take what I can get...
Started off well but took a dive and just became plain boring
This drama had great potential, showing a love story between two people with very different backgrounds and ability. This drama starts of showing people with disabilities as competent people worthy of love without ignoring the ableist world we live in as well as taking a pretty good punch at charity work and showcasing disadvantaged children like they where animals at a circus. The female lead seems to be both independent, smart and loving while the male lead is the typical icicle in need of some good defrosting.... so far all goodBut then it takes a very odd turn to the posesive, obsessive, toxic... as well as total utter stupidity with a whole lot of stalking rounded up with some pretty blunt ableism. So if it started as a 10 it ended in a 5 thus it gets a 7 star rating.
In other words I probably should have stopped watching this show somewhere around episode 13...

Nice combination of tropes done right
This drama is nothing special but sweet, fluffy and has a whole bunch of good old drama cliches keeping you just a little bit nervus done mostly right. There is one character that is annoying but she grows allot during the drama making all the scenes bearable to watch and not a single itch to skip, big + for that. The show , shows a nice level of character growth and has one of c-dramalands sweetest thrupple sisterhood. The female lead is pretty smart when it comes to all but her emotions. The male lead is as warm as hot cup of coco, he may be a tad persistent but overall he is pretty good at not forcing himself on the female lead.
So all in all pretty sweet and fluffy and definitely has the potential to fulfill all your fluffy needs.

Sweet Mint bubblegum bubbles
Sweeter than sweet this adorable little teen drama will probably keep you smiling while you watch one of dramalands sweetest (a tad deceptive) male leads support and encourage the female lead as well as smooth out some misunderstandings. 'This drama screams summer, youth and very innocent puppy (or kitten) love from start to finish.I love the friendships, the growth and the sunny atmosphere making this drama very easy to watch and making each episode fly by,... what drags down the score is how the character of the second female lead is portrayed as slightly evil due to poverty. Though I do like the way they show how poverty may cause people to judge you as well as cause shapme in a pretty good way. everything else around that character just felt wrong and misplaced dragging down the general bubblegum feel of the drama.
The drama also deals with finding ones self, standing up for ones interests and not having ones parents dictate ones future in kind of rushed and pretty predictable yet still sweet way (also dragging down the total score).
This drama probably has one of my new favorite teen couples and one of few dramas I can see would do well with a second season of sweet college life in a sunny China showing them struggle together to achieve their dreams or something like that.
All in all definitely worth watching if you are int the mood for some sweet mintey teen fluff

50 shades of toxic sweet and HOT obsession
"Let me be your first and last love" Romantic or the beginning of a crime thriller? This drama gave out strong 50 shades of grey vibes in the beginning, not that I have seen/read 50 shades of grey, but I do live on earth and have been here for a while.I honestly do not know what to make of this, I watched it for the week lead, and boy did I get a week lead. Reall. really, week lead making me wonder how on earth this person survived to the age of 20.
The Male lead is possessive, obsessive and horney as hell and is most definitely in need of a lesson or two in consent while at the same time showing moments of respect. Very odd combination if I may say so but fun to watch and makes way to A LOT of very steamy scenes. Scenes shot beautifully sexy yet without reveling to much skin. The sexual tension in this drama is over top.
This drama also has some interesting twists, other toxic evil men who most definitely cross the line over to seexual asult showing us how victims often blame themselves instead of the perpetrator.
All in all pretty fun to watch and very easy to binge

Beautiful in so many ways...
There is something speciell about this drama, though the story is very typical worm-cold puppy love I cant help but fall for it over and over again (yes I am writing this review after having re-watched it). With just the perfect combination of sweet, sorrow, tension, comedy and stomach acing nervousness. The male lead is cold, so cold it becomes really funny at times yet warm and caring at the sam time, just not so that any one else can see it, and completely lacks communication skills. He is surprisingly self-awere but the first time I saw this I wanted to yell at him, WHY are you doing this to her. His lack of communication skills is also reflected in his lack of understanding for the notion of consent (but he does not force himself or anything like that) yet he does show some character growth I love the way he stays true to his core introvert self all the way threw the drama, Also be observant of his ayes throughout the drama they tell allot more than his words and actions.
The female lead is the epifani of optimism, and his COMPLEATE opposite in every imaginable way, her love, her pain, her enthusiasm and grasping for straws shines thru the screen making it hard not to love her and want to protect her, she does however have her limits and at least tries to put up boundaries to protect herself at times which keeps her from falling over in to being truly pathetic.
The second male lead is very warm, outgoing, and a true doer. He is extremely devoted and lovable in every singel way, yet is does play a significant role in adding substance and time to this drama. I think many people can easily get SLS for him. I would not mind, a spinoff for him to find love in.
The dynamics between the three is actually both funny, heartbreaking and ever evolving... and does not really feel like the typical love triangel since there seems to be some kind of respect towards each other.
The side characters are just the best, the friendship is just as important as the romantic love in this drama. The second couple is as adorable as adorable can be. And the chemistry between the cast is just fenomenal. Not a singel character annoyed me! (very rare for a c-drama).
What tipped the scale over from a 9 star rating to a 10 is how this drama shows the life, hopes, fears and dreams of a teenager with a serous heart condition, both in day to day life and when it takes a tern to the worst...
To top it off it has my favorite monolog of all time,,, and is beautifully shot as well, so yes this is a love so beautiful, and a beautiful love.

I honestly do not know what I think of this
Okay this was my first Thai series, so I'm not sure what I think of it. The pace is faster then C and K dramas, the relationship is not very healthy but both leads had their moments that made them both likable and detestable and the notion of consent... well I got the feeling that when asked they would say what is that? The mother and stepsister where really, really evil. I also sensed a hint of bigotry in it the drama that I don't know if I'm being sensitive about or if it was there. But the story was kind of sweet. How can an average doctor win the heart of a super star???
The side characters where charming and I enjoyed seeing the blemishes on the actors faces instead of the perfection I am used to from other dramas. I also have to commend the scenes between the leads that had a tendency to get so hot it made me blush. All things that where entertaining.
It had some entertainment value but felt some what wrong at the samme time.

A bit like a slowly lit firework, the type that risks exploding in your face.
To be honest he first episodes did not live up to the high ranks this drama has. Some parts where fun others reminded me of 90s soaps. The plot evolved in a slow pace and the characters where not very lovable. So you are going to need allot of patience. But after a while the episodes got better a slow acceleration towards a big bang that made all the slow acceleration worth it and necessary for the plot. I'm not really in to re watching series but this one is probably better the second time if you have the time and patience.
Looking back every episode is genius, from the lightning, the sounds, the looks and the angels. And leaves a bitter sweet taste.
The first time you hear one of the characters say "I'll whack your jaw open" you will probably feel nothing but after a while it will become your favorite insult/threat.
The sight of a pyramid will make you wonder if you have ever been truly loved and you will probably find yourself laughing at the oddest things while you wonder how much are these people willing to put up with. Are they really human?
This was however followed by me wondering how far would I would go in a situation like this. The genius in this series is in the bitter sweet of first thinking that there is no way I can relate to any of this at all and then realizing I can...
It’s easy to judge but if we turn this down a knot am I really that much better? So get ready for a really really really slow start (did I mention the slow start) followed by an amazing ride.

As long as you are awere its bad its actually fun to watch
The sky is mostly gray, the lighing is bad, the hair styles are auful, the acting is mostly bad and the caracters are lacking in depth and backsyory. They also run around doing awkward things. The male lead is a total psykopath, with 0 EQ but 200 IQ, he is really mean all thrue the drama. The female lead is overwellmingly stupid, persistent and kind. I think the only really loveable caracters are the mom and little brother and his friend.
All this considered I did enjoy this drama. The plot reminds me a bit of a love so beautiful and put your head on my shoulder. The family is sweet and supprotive and this is an easy watch between heavy dramas. And a lessonin what type of relationships you should avoid.

Fallen star done right
This is another one of those dramas that just draws you in and before you know it it is over...To be honest we have seen this type of story before in several dramas, all rated highly by me, and all loved in their own little way. This drama does not have a lot to add to the lot of dramas of this type story wise even if it does have a slightly different angle and has the star fall a bit deeper than most other dramas do.
HOWEVER it does have Suzys amazing acting, singing and all round awesomeness.
It also has really beautiful cinematography a bunch of lovely friendships and extreamly few moments of annoying.
The biggest downside of this drama is it leaving me wanting more, as well as the high age of the actors supposed to play 21 yearolds (not very believable, sorry). However the acting, chemistry, kissing, emotions are all spot on and I loved pretty much every second of watching the interactions between the leads and the second female lead.
Definitely a drama worth watching for all those who can appreciate watching falling star dramas and can handle some darkness and spunk.

Great remake of a great original...
I was a bit reluctant to watch this since I loved the original drama, for its portrayal of the less fit mother, toxic relationships and found family. So much that it made way to most of my series articles abut family relationships in dramaland. But with that said I did have some issues with the original, issues that I did not have with the remake. If you have seen the original and loved the story, you will probably love this one as it has just enough (very slight) differences to make you, or at leas me wonder how will they handle XYZ scene... While still sticking to the original story.
The acting and casting is really good, the chemistry is there and while I admit I loved the male lead in the C a lot more this one does a decent job, balanced up by the male leads who I enjoyed watching slightly more then the ones in the C. So basically they made up for it.
For those who have not seen the original C, this is drama that portrays family and bonds from many different perspectives and shows great contrast between different ways to be a parents well. I loved how this drama showed both the scares, pressure and pain created by the combination societies prejudice, expectations about parenthood and lets face it bad parenting as well as the sheltering/compensating affects of the good parenting, the found family and friendships can create.
The first time I saw this story I was obviously upset about some of the parts but it was also the first time I saw a character portrayed that was so close to my own mother, that I could overlook all the issues I had with it...
A good drama, an easy binge, but also a painful watch that is bound to make you feel a lot of things...

Brutally Bloody and a Whole Lot of Broken Bones (and spirits)
I am not crying but I think I want to... As I finish yet another drama about bullying in s. Krean schools I still feel that this was actually worth my time (as you may notice with the high rating).I do not know if this brings a lot new to the table, as we get to see a bunch of grownups take advantage of kids use them as punchingbags and then blame them for paying it forward by punching others... There is a lot of splashing blood, sounds of bones cracking and legs flying in the air. Plus why take responsabilaty for stuff when you can blame others, done slighlty differently and really good.
Our leads are not always what they seem to be, but the friendships and fakefreindsabuserships are solid. The cinematography is brutally beautiful and the felling of f*** lingers in the air throughout the drama.
I love, love, love the bromance and appreciate the male trio in this as well as pretty much have a huge crush on Young Yis (LEon Yeon) character. Park Ji Hoon and Choi Hyun Wook did a phenomenal job portraying their characters.
A painful yet easy binge, but if you are the slightest sensetive to blood chances are you will have to look away now and then.

Tokyo in April is lightly confusing at times but good balance between fluff and issues
Falling in love with your best friend at 15 is complicated... Raging hormones, tabus and disapproving parents complicate things further and before you know it you are torn apart and 10 years have passed... Which is where this story takes of, as these two meet again in a not so well functioning office setting we the viewers a thrown back and fourth in time as the story unfolds (both past and present) this drama tackles well known issues in a pretty decent way.The romance has slightly confusing yet fun to watch development, and the plot of this drama has that too making this that is more suitable to binge than space out (as I did).
The casting of the young versions does not match the older as they look more like the other guy... I would also have wanted to see more from the past than the present as that story was the more interesting one of the two.
Sakurai Yukis acting could have been better, it wasnt bad but there is a noticeable gap between him and the other male lead Takamatsu Alohas acting skills.
All in all an ok watch that could use a few more episodes to fully explore both past and present.

Sweet, fluffy and annoying at times
This is a sweet, easy to watch, easy to binge drama with little drama and more fluff. The female lead is a bit overbearing at times in the first couple of episodes but calms down and is actually pretty smart and nice. The male lead is all kinds of nice and fluffy, not really and more of a pearl tea than the typical icicle we are used to from other c-dramas. The relationship as a whole progresses slowly and aside for a few drunken kisses here and there all three couples seem to respect each others boundaries. I honestly do not think a single person was pushed up against a wall or put in a position they could not get out of.The friendships here are also beautiful as well as this dramas take on jealousy and communication, So + for that to. The biggest downside to this drama is immaturity and bad fake loudly crying here and there... especially by one of the female leads best friends. I honestly just had to skip her scenes because she was just over the top annoyingly selfish and stupid.
All in all definitely worth a watch, but could use more scenes between the main couple...
