A celebration och divorce and breaking loose from toxic relationships
Though I pretty much knew the plot (since I had seen the K version) it was still a very enjoyable watch that I dare say is slightly better then the K, as it has less annoying elements or moments of "oh come on".This is a drama that truley shows how difficult it can be to break loose from old habits, obsessions and the breaking free from an abusive relationship (or two) is extremely dangerous but worth the risk. And yes it is better to be alone than stuck with the wrong people.
The drama shows some really good friendships, nice shots of food, scenery and has some pretty okay lines as well as a decent romance somewhere between the evil /self-defence plotting.

Love is forgettable
I started this Opposites attract a while bak, not really sure when but when I took a break, don´t really remember why, probably something (sleep/life/not finished airing) got in the way time passed by and I started watching something else, and another something else before I noticed it on my currently watching and thought to myself... oh was I going to start this? clicked on my viki account only to see that I had already watched 10 episodes.... As I started watching the drama againI noticed my memory being jogged back to life. Its not a bad drama, its not a good drama, the actors do their jobs well, there is a plot and some type of second chances people can change message that is not bad either but it is just not enough to truly keep my attention or occupy any lasting space in my memory making this a very forgettable watch.

Dreamoworks meets K-drama fantasy
I´m not really sure why this is on MDL but since it is here I figured Id review it anyway....A sweet animated movie wit lots and lots of k-drama asian fantasy references that made me smile a lot. Basically K-drama meets Dremwokrks in a beautiful display of music, friendship and daemon hunting...
I watched it with my non K-drama watching teen, while I recognised a bunch of tropes I believe the teen seemed to feel some type of second hand embarrassment.
An easy watch for all who enjoy things animated and K.

Slice of life bickering joy...
This is a sweet and funny easy to watch drama, packed with love geometry this drama may have you laughing whenever you hear the ABC song, hey just thinking about the letters AB and C may leave you smiling from ear to ear. This dama probably has one of dramalands sweetest portrayals of friendships, community and youth. combining some of the best part of Go Ahead, Reply 1988 and A River Runs Though It. A fun trio with very different characters mixing
calm and smart with goofy and sporty with friendly and hard working. The three help each other grow, fall, get up again... they may not always listen to each other or actually know how to communicate with words, but they stick up for each other with great loyalty. All three are lovable and did a great job inviting us and other side characters to their world.
Besides the main traits of each character, our female lead has this sweet, week but bad ass vibe to her. Being able to both faint and kick ass in the same episode.
I think I could appreciate most of the side characters, they where there to do their job, to keep us guessing , to create slight drama, and to prolong the episode count by creating barriers and misunderstandings done pretty well. And while I cn´t say there were any really annoying characters QiQi s(He Qiu) was overly high maintenance and made me want to ship her off to a land far, far, far away. But all.in all the drama was packed with lovable characters, interactions and fun!
Or at least for the first 20 episodes or so.
After that we get a little but to much cringe, an overbearing father, a roommate with anger management issues and loss of pace. There is so much amazing tension and build up throughout the drama but once we finally get there we only get to see some sparkles and firecrackers.
Some parts are frustratingly slow others rushed, The couples have very little screen time together once they finally do get together and some couples are not even shown on screen at all leaving us guessing what type of person did this character we have come to know actually settle for. And instead of giving me proper closure the las episode gave me cringe and still shots of apartments and wheelchairs to the sound of a piano. Basically leaving me wanting more of the couples, more of the friendships, more bickering, more adulthood and the twist and turns of adult life....
All thing that made me lower the score from a 9,5 or even 10 to this generous 8,5 star rating.

Sweet characters but you will have to turn off your brain
This is a drama that starts off all mysterious combining Hitchcocks The Birds with amnesia, suspense, webtoon artist with time travel and a mysterious mechanic with well defined muscles and and a gaze that says I want to devour you and make you mine... But I must hold back and push you away...Both leads and the second couple are a blast to watch, their friendships their conversations, the gazes... They are lovable, they are forward, complex human beings who can think for theme selves and while the male lead has his moments of I shall stop communicating in the name of protecting you the female lead just doesn't fall for it and goes her own way.... sometimes it makes things worse sometimes not but I find myself appreciating her lack of passiveness. She does have har moments of come on... but over all I loved her.
The story and its twists on the other hand are a waist of screen time. Messy at times, predictable other times, confusing (and not in a good way) the rest of the time.
The CGI is awfull... really, really, awful...
The villain (s) or attempts at villains are the type that will make your eyes roll and may have you wanting to cover your face from all the second hand embarrassment.
Not really a drama I would recommend but if you can find some fun fan edit of the top moments between the leads and the second couple go for it!
You could also watch this for the leads characters and interactions, just make sure to turn off any kind of brain power not needed for survival and you should be fine.

Fun, hot
This is a fun story about a player female lead who meets her match. A woman who knows what she wants to do but does struggle with figuring out her feelings. A bit of a role reversal bad girl goes soft type of deal and yes I loved it. And I love therm. The male lead is smart, fun, knows how to play and satisfy our female lead and actually gets the notion of consent pretty well (not perfectly but) :"You are to drunk to consent to anything so not tonight".
The friendships are good, and we get just enough elements from the other dramas in the series to be able to connect them without letting the other series take away focus from the plot.
The scenery and food is gorgeous and I do believe this has more sex-scenes than a Thai BL.
This could probably have been a 9, even with its clice predictable plot but then came the las cringeyest cringe episode ever to be shown in Dramaland, and trust me there is a lot of cringe out there but I do believe this probably beet them all.
So mind the cringe, mind the female leads fears, the reason for the break up... ok you will need to overlook quite a bit... If you can overlook it all you are in for an enjoyable ride, as this is a very easy binge... even with the cringe...

My simple you
Tis is a simple movie, about figuring out love, past vs future and some kind of you do not know what you have untill it is gone type of deal. I am not going to say that every single part of this ads up, nor will I say that I fully understand the leads reasons for wanting to change stuff. However the do have a pretty okay take on family and friends somewhere beyond the spoiled little 21 year old. there is also a slightly preachy tone in the male leads dialog. However the characters are mostly sweet and have decent chemistry.
P.s.
There is also an age gap here that is kind of confusing and badly handles and really badly casted.

Sweet fluff with a slightly iffy start
This is one of those easy to watch drams at least for those who love workaholic bickering leas and sides with spunk. However it starts off showing the male lead digging holes in Africa , where in Africa we do not know but it is clear that there is a yeloow filter and slight saviour complex with it. Knocking off a star and indeed distracting those first minutes. I remember this being highly criticised when the show was released which is probably why I kept off watching it for so long. That said I have seen a lot worse in dramaland and I am going to believe that they meant well etc.Once we passed the little awkward start, I got to see a whole bunch of fan characters. Though the acting varied in cringe and quality sometimes, no one annoyed me to the point of wanting to skip their scenes. The three best friends are really cool and have this great respect towards each others boundaries. Fun to watch in every scene, and to be honest the friendships especially the journalist best friend as well as the lawyer dude and the cappuccino where a lot more fun to watch than our main leads.
The little drama that wa sin this felt kind of meeh, but the characters and romance was good so forget the plot and jus twatch it for the bickering, the sweet fluff and mindless fun.

Not so much Racing Pit but more of a Hot Babe...
Going in to this I thought this might be about car racing and loads and loads of testosterone and playboy goes loverboy...But I was wrong, oh so wrong... Instead I got Marvels fuckerboys... trust no one and the evil philanthropist with a slight side dish of racing.
To be fair I got the playboy falls in love part done pretty ok, and I got more hot steam than I could process.... As I do believe they try to teach us the importance of fucking before well pretty much anything... As one of the main themes of the story is when in doubt just gp fu** someone... Need to focus before a race? do it in the locker room, need to unwind after a race do it on a couch.. need to get over the pain of loosing a friend do it in a bed... Not fucking before race may just may cost someones life or at least the car.
The romance does not have so much process and more of a I like the way you smell. Chemistry was good and the kinship (ok sex) was so hot I thought my lap top would catch fire...
However the plot was extremely predictable once things started to unfold, with the exception of one or two twist. Babe has enough mood swings to blow out the fire in my lap top and though most of the casts acting was okay, even good most of the time Poohs (the guy who plays Charlie) acting was kind of meeh (also most of the time)
An okay watch but nothing I would truly recommend.... At leas not for the plot.

Who am I, and what do I love
This is a sweet story about a girl who lost her memory and the people who deceive her on her way to self discovery, love and and life.Amnesia may sound innocent but in reality it has a whole lot of dangers and challenges with it, who can I trust, who am I?, why the hell am I working at this grey boring job? Come to think of it this drama rather showed nuance to the amnesia trope and some how managed to show that thugh there is a lot of confusion and danger always look at the bright side of amnesia as it may be just what you need to find your true self (who ever you are), Encouraging people to fall down steep staircases wherever they may be:
Always look at the bright side of hitting your head ... (whistle) Always look at the bright side of amnesia... it maybe just what you need to put your life in to place (whistle)....
But honestly people, do not try this at home.
A sweet romance mystery that had me guessing about who is who and why....

Oh my Girls, underrated gem
I am writing this review after a rewatch 2 day binge this about 5 yeast after I watched it the first time and remembering as a favourite and to be honest it still measures up among the great dramas out there. To be fair this drama has several flaws.
The male lead is not really dreamy, he has his moments but he is pretentious, border on annoying and not the type to have me swoon at all. The soo Chef is so annoying and badly written I honestly wanted to hit him with a frying pan just to get him to shut up. Predictable unnecessary low humour, loud and the sole reason this did not get a 10 star rating.
As for the rest of the side characters, they do their jobs well, some have annoying tenedenacys bit most are truly amazing and a pleasure for the eye.
The girls Park Bo Young, Kim Seul Gi, Shin Hye Sun and Park Jung Ah where truly phenomenal. Especially Park Bo Young and Kim Seul Gi. The ways they interact, the emotions the different characters Park Bo Young portrayed where done extreamly well showing so many personalities this truly makes up for the manly flaws. The two girls characters are so interesting to watch, their growth the way they got there the misunderstandings.
The way this story progresses is also done really well developing from one genre to another while keeping a red thread alive. The way the romance and characters develop along side the whole ghost and possession theme to this. Watching this the second time it was clear to see when and where the romance started and ended for each character. Something that I truly find impressive. but to be honest with or without the romance it was the affect the girls had one each others characters development, odd friendship and protection that was truly amazing to follow.
So basically mind the men, and watch this for the sismance, make sure not to miss out on this hidden gem.
Also, Fighting!

Sweet but meeh
This is a story about a girl without a dream who happens to end up in a place with lots of people with dreams and gets dragged in to switching a longing for the ordinary to wanting more... most of this drama is about the work place environment trying to find solutions and ways to make use of peoples different strengts, stratages and also teaching us to put up with work place bullying because it is not actually bullying and has a deeper meaning to it idf you just look hard enough.Alongside this workplace story we also have some kind of love geometry with a bunch of people with different stages of dreams and what not the main characters in this are the girl who did not have a dream and the boy who was failing at his and in need to suppress that dream to take over the family business a business as exiting as paper.
the guy is as sweet as a puppy and is actually often portrayed as a puppy, he is very understanding and kind but seems to lack the ability to communicate the important stuff. Our female lead without a dream is bubbly, forward and sweet when it comes to work but extremely naive and lacks all confidence and communication skills when it comes to love.
Making this a painful and draggy watch at times.
That said the characters are interesting and sweet. Making this an okay watch but not much more.

Kind of sweet
This drama has one of my favourite tropes, it also has some fun characters a sweet cat and a lot of people who are oblivious. The story is highly predictable but once in a few episodes I could see some new turns which was kind of nice.the lack of communication in this is a bit over the top at times and the reason for the marriage feels a bit off.
But over all an okay watch that kept my attention and had me entertained.

Sweet friendships, less sweet male lead
This is a drama about the secretly kind not so kind Kou, the girls who fall for him and the friendships that they build. It is also a story about trying to find true friendships in high school while making sure no one has to sit alone.I enjoyed watching the girls interact mainly with each other but also with Kou, his brother and the other guy and a musician (that could probably give most people sls) . I also enjoyed watching the relationship between the leads unfold. However I did spend a bit to much time wanting to shake some sense in to guy and tell him to stop hurting Yoshioka Futaba, making me wish for her to break loose from her crush and go for bread, the other guy or heck why not choose Yuri?
Honestly the way Futaba interacted with bread felt a lot better than the ones with Kou most of the time... Bread is consistent, you can count on bread ...
Kou does have a sad story aura to him which is one of my favourite types of male leads but he also treated Futaba like his possession, taking her for granted and not really caring about her feelings. She could give, and give, and give and he could interact with other girls, ignore her and basically just disappear but whenever anyone dared get near his possession he would flip sides and just expect all to forget that he otherwise completely ignored her...
So for the next season I guess I am hoping either Kou or Futaba (or both) comes to their senses and either move on or or Futaba gets treated better.
It was still a good watch and I am indeed looking forward to watching season two.

Goodbye, Love Please...
This was cringe, story felt off and with a lot of over the top stuff. miles, miles away from the fist seasons charm this seemed to try to tell a similar story about the hardships of starting over in a new country but without the charm of the first season. Kathryn Bernardos acting and presance is the only reason I made it til the end of this but by the end of the show I purely could not have cared less about the rest of the cast besides maybe the hot americano...
P.s. while the prequel has lots of good lines this one repeated some of the old and added one good line about an americano... thats it.
