Quirky and sweet, friendship without to much depth
Mr grumpy insecure artist tries to run away from his feelings and mr smiley. In this quirky depiction of odd humour, friendship, 10 shades of dark and grumpy vs 10 glittery rainbows with smileys without the colours in-between.I loved the friendships in this, especially between mr grumpy and his fejusy friend. I also love the way they talk about the things behind the smiles and the grumpiness without favouring one over the other. That said while there is some good dialog here and there there is not a lot of substance in this,. And you must parapere yourself for quirky, comics all round. The romance and chemistry between the could definitely have been better so do not expect yourself to be blown away or feel stuff.
That said it is an easy binge, oddly entertaining and quirky without going over board in to just stupid.

Who cares who rules the world give me more romance
Well this was long... And had something, old, something new and a whole lot of stuff that were borrowed from other dramas like it. Which is fine, but did get draggy at times. The leads and their friendships are lovely from start to finish, even the hints of love geometry are dealt with in a nice way as our female lead is just so cool. There is however quite a bit that is left unexplored and other parts that seem to be never ending. There are a lot of conspiracies and metal sounding fighting scenes that just got to be to much. So honestly I could not care lees who would actually rule the world by the end of it.
The romance has some interesting twits as well as some really sweet dynamics. To be honest I would have wanted more bickering and more screen time for the process, and more sweetness between the two. So what I got of the two was a pleasure for the ear and eye. But honestly the romance as lovely as it may be was pushed aside for a mediocre political story instead.
Do I recommend it, sure as I said the leads are lovely, and those who love this type of power-struggle dramas this is as good a pick as any other one of these.
I may write more here tomorrow but that will be all for now.

It is all lies, and (rich) people are bad
"Hell is not a space it is a situation"
This is a Survival of the cruelest, grown ups suck, men suck, politicians are evil... Eat the rich type of drama. The writers of dramaland must really hate politicians... But what else is new... As this is yes another drama with corruption, evil men and rich people acting all mean and selfish... And the girl who got caught up in it all after seizing an opportunity she may or may not live to regret. Oh and there is of another show of rich grown ups who do not take responsibility for their actions... but in a world where people lie in their own diaries that no on will read it all kind of makes sense...
For the record I personally believe that lying in ones diary is important if you do not want to get caught... as there are no safe spaces...
The evil people on here are truly as evil as evil gets, there are no pure people but there may be a friendship or two worth having, it is based on lies but other than that it is all peachy good and sweet...
They also manage to show that life is hard mostly for the poor but even for the smart and kind of warn off all from trying to do something about it as life for the rich is complicated too... However the best thing about being rich is not having toaask people for favours as you can probably pay for them instead.
The acing is really good ( but Suzy is the lead so it is kind of a given) and so is both the build up, cinematography and tension. There is no fluff or romance what so ever, nor will it make you feel stuff. So you are going to have to be in the mood for some bad *** 20 shades of Suzy. cold, survival of the cruelest to enjoy this.
Bine ability: high
Mind twist: not so much
Lovable characters: not so much
Well told story: yep
Good lines: yes

17 minutes of flirting...
Good looking guy (according to himself) goes after other looking guy, in an exchange of gazes and what I think is supposed to be conversation but is mostly someone saying uhh mmm... ok...However the hint of conversation is pretty playful and fills the air with a mist of uncertainty.
The boys are pretty and nice to watch but the already short 17 minute film is mostly shot in slow mo... so basically it could have been a 10 minute show.
However it is a pretty decent watch, rated an 8 because why not

So sweet you could get a toothache but they have that covered too...
If you are going to confess to your 8 year crush/best friend , nothing beats the romance of the mouth wash... or is it toothpaste? This is a cute and fluffy commercial that is so sweet it would give you a toothache if it hadn't been for all the mouth wash and tooth paste in it.
Seo Kang Joon is the main attraction, and while it is not his best work (what do you expect it is a commercial), je does shine in pastel. the first two episodes of the commercial/drama are there to have us guessing who of the three best friends are his long time crush, and the answer may actually surprise you. That sid it has some substance and a nice friends to lovers, friends who support each other theme between the tooth paste fluff... Making me smile, and all happy inside.
So this is basically a sweet fluffer between stuff, a palate cleaner that may make you smile but if you do not like pastels, cliches or friends to lovers you should not even try to look at this... or wait you can also watch this if you love toothpaste, mouth wash and mouth spray...
Most of the score is there because Seo Kang Joons presence on screen... this is not high quality fluff... at all...

Pretty Depressing...
If you ever find yourself thinking it is a good idea to try to run fast enough so that despair won't catch up you may just want so slow down or you may, just may find yourself running off a cliff...So you may want to slow down and watch a Tokyo Sunrise... or any sunrise for that matter, you could also get one of those paraglide Glider thingies used in CLOY so you can fly once you reach that cliff... but that is way beside the point. This is a slow paced depressing movie, as to be expected of a movie about a guy who is driving in to the night to find the first love of hid dead best friend... In a journey to try to move on or maybe understand why the best friend who chose to write a note and a picture instead of using a paraglide thingy when he jumped off a cliff.
So this is sad, the music is sad, the people are sad (in a lot of ways), even the lighting is sad...there is not much dialog but the little dialog there is, is pretty powerful, interesting, self aware and witty at times. The characters are real human being dealing with real human being stuff. Though there is a slight message about moving on and living on it did not take away from the over all depressing theme to this movie. So this is a movie to watch when you just need some depression in your life... be it finding people as depressed as you are, or if you are just too cheerful and need to tone it down a bit this is a great place to find it. Though there are some entertaining elements to this movie, I would say it is more of a movie you watch for its depth and sadness and not for pure entertainment.

Some pretty decent fluff
This is one of those easy to watch dramas with just enough drama, confusion and misunderstandings to give it some substance but not to much to make you annoyed, frustrated or kept on your toes... However it has one of C-dramalands most interesting male leads who while he may practice wrist grabs seems self aware and respectful towards women. The female lead is shown as a typical cold awkward (normally male) lead but poor to keep them from being equally footed . She is also smart, reserved for most parts and admits to having some kind of sexual desire. All things that may seem too good to be true but indeed are part of this drama. The main couple is also very playful an have a bunch of adorable funny scenes self aware teasing scenes... Fun, heart fluttering, cute...The drama also has the obligatory best friend whose side story and role do not really add anything to the plot but is not the least bit annoying, and actually gives ok advice. Another rare occurrence in c- dramaland. The parents are also lovable, dare I say goal type parents.
There are of course some characters worth choking, but they are very few and their screen time is extremely limited. giving us 90% lovable people on screen.
I was. debating with my own inner monolog if this is a 9, or an 8,5 star drama but what keeps it from getting a higher score is the lack of substance, lack of stuff that will keep you on your toes, some boring monologs, and that the chemistry is good, not mind blowing but just good and the kisses are fine, again nothing to steamy but decent enough. So I guess it is a high 8,5.
All in all definitely a drama I recommend for all those who just need an easy binge without to much unnecessary stuff but with a whole lot of fluff and a very lovable main couple...
P.s. there is also a tiny hint about a lesbian couple hidden in there... subtle enough to pass censorship but clear enough if you look at mimics, gazes and pay enough attention.

People do seem to feel attraction
This short film is oddly slow paced, and most of the attraction is shown by use of gaze. There is not a lot of dialog and I found myself going back to see if I missed something in there, as I find myself confused at the end. What actually happened?
Why did it happen?
Was it all just attraction?
Or was there more action between the lines that I just did not really get?
So this review may be completely meaningless but for you watching this thinking you will get a 14 minute romance, this is not the place to go but if you want to watch people feeling attraction in situations that they probably should not act upon this is a good place to look for it. Maybe my confusion is that the gazes seemed to show me longing more than attraction...

Meeh start... and not as good as the first season yet still decent.
To be honest the first few episodes did not really captivate me, though there where some interesting scenes they just did not hit the right spot however as the episodes passed by I was offered more and more interesting games, a lot of blood and a mix of characters. Some more interesting than others, making wish they had more screen time, while others just felt like they cluttered the plot. This season feels a bit messier than the first one, not only for the blood splatter (though it does make a lot of mess) but also for the many characters and flashbacks messing up the timeline. Add to this that leads are a little bit all over the place instead of with each other.
I did really enjoy the late episodes, who messed a little bit with my mind in a good way instead of messy one. I also really loved
Murakami Nijiro's character Chishiya and Asahina Aya's character Kuina Hikari more than the leads if I am to be honest. There are also a lot of interesting details here and there + the visuals and explosions in this season are truly amazing or at leas up my ally.
So definitely worth a watch even if it was not as good as the first season (in my opinion)

Fluffy Romance with Screaming Silence
This movie is pretty much the typical, girl has a bad day, meets a cute boy who helps her up and they start spending more and more time together and just like most rom coms end up falling in love. The girl seems to have good hearing while the boy is deaf, leading to the people around them being skeptical towards their love , add to that how society often teaches people to pity the deaf resulting in hearing people either feeling sorry for them, getting annoyed/ showing 0 consideration or having hearing people only come near them to make them selfs feel good... Leading the male lead to be scared and scared shitless when facing the possibility of falling in love with a girl who can hear. This was done pretty ok.
What was done well was turning the sound as well as translation of sign language on and off giving us a window to how it can feel to not understand what people are saying.
The leads had really good chemistry, with great (HOT) dance scenes. The over all focus was on finding solutions to the problems deaf people face in their day to day life. The male lead is also shown as a competent human being which is always a plus.
It does still ave some issues but it was a decent movie, with a lot of cliches and pretty shots.

This was... Ok....
Well this was.... bingeable and not a lot more as the acting is mediocre, the plot mediocre and the kisses ara also mediocre not being dead fish but not being eat the fish either they just are i guess...AS this is the story of the three gay brothers who do not really know if they are gay or just had learned not to love... they do not either know if they have a fourth brother or not. these brothers who also all have different mothers seem to get involved with another family with a very hetero sister who is highly annoying and may just be what many people would call a self centered gold digger with a huge appetite for men and a need to learn about consent. There is also a guy who is bi, and does make for some pretty decent bi representation, saying the way old just because I am bi it does not mean i will fall for just anyone... and so on and so on...
To this there is also some hints of disputes between brothers about a potential inheritance, a stubborn dad who likes to own people... ok several people who seem to like to own others and well that is about it.
So was it good?
No
Was it bad?
Not really
Is it an acceptable watch?
Sure it is short and easy to binge

So good and soo bad... but it does start with a Q
This one is so hard to rate as the female lead and her friends were great, amazing, fun to watch, interesting and human... Unfortunately this pretty cool person with the ability to move on married a self righties, chauvinistic, traditional, idiot who to top it off has 0 respect for his wife's boundaries, sorry I meant to top it off he is gullible and believes his even more stupid best friend...And well the story revolves around the idiot instead of the really cool woman he married... which is why I want to give the parts with her a 9,5 star rating and the parts with him a 5... So I settled with a 7.
The plot is mostly predictable, and honestly slightly dangerous as even if they do seem to raise the issue of his wife's right to privacy they also add some so kalled forgiving parts here and there that are supposed to show us that the guy is ok. People this guy has more red flaggs than may day in China, the beach a windy day and a rich lead who loves reds mansion put together. If you meet a guy like that run for the hills and do not look back.
So what do I say if you have the time , need something from 2013 or that starts with a Q it is actually pretty entertaining at times (whenever the female lead is in the picture), So why not... it is not a bad watch... But even I who love watching flags for entertainment purposes found that this guy was lacking and more annoying than entertaining.

3 minutes of fluff 30 seconds of fright
This is just so peaceful and pretty... letting the scenery, looks, and gestures talk for themselves watching this is like a dose of calm... ok the calm music gets interrupted by painful silence... But there is just something about how they used all but words in these to convey so much more and make the viewers feel stuff... So I guess I am impressed and will probably revisit this every once in a while when i need a short dose of calm and a few seconds of angst... because you would not wan to much calm now would you.... As life is all about the balance...Ok enough with my blabbering, Lets just say these 3,5 minutes were well though of, well preformed and defiantly worth both the time I looked for it, watched it and wrote this review.

Joseon Zorro
This drama really is a Korean version of Zorro, with that wonderful Korean historical twist we all love so much...As this drama did indeed captivate me more or less from the start even thought the acting was mostly bad, the lighting was horrible, the annoying elements more or less overbearing and it was overflowing with low humour... To add to it, it is listed as a romance but there are about 5 interactions between the people who are supposed to have this romance... leaving the romance addict within me very disappointed.
That said there are a lot of great lines here and there, some powerful scenes about the little people rising up and people who abuse their power done well. There are also a bunch of twists of fate, secrets and lies here and there that add a lot of spice to the plot....
The story shows a mix of hanging on to a mistake just because it took a lot of time to make it, that there are worse ways to punish people than by killing them and not to underestimate angry women. There is a loss a great deal of beautiful friendships and found families (also very odd families) between the betrayals and the self righteous men . There was one self riotous power hungry man that got on my nerves just a little to much laving me disappointed to see him live...
Definitely an enjoyable watch, but be were of annoying over acting characters, and the 2008 quality.. A lot has happened in the Korean drama industry and those actors skills in the past 14 years and it shows!

Mind vs realty 101
This is a story about an awkward and terrified boy who gets a job with his idol and uses all he has got not to let it show... And his Idol who had lost his inner glow. While the boy is also terrified of touch the idol has lived abroad and is more of a use his body to communicate type of guy than actual words.
Both boys end up misscommunicating a lot, and as the feelings grow the scarier it gets.
We the viewers get to hear both boys thoughts and the difference between thoughts and actual actions are a lot of fun to watch. And also kind of relatable as relationships, owning up to onrs emotions and so on is really scary at times. It is also this gap that keeps me the viewer both frustrated and on my toes wondering if they ever will actually own up to their inner thoughts or not.
The side characters are mostly lovely I especially love the female co workers who come with spot on analysises of the situation and sayd the words I was thinking.
A light, easy to binge drama with lots of awkwardness, smiles and fluff... not perfect deffenetly worthy of the little time it takes to binge it, and I wouldnt have minded a few extra episodes.
