My pet peeves and adorable leads
This drama has a lot going for it good actors, good chemistry, nice found family trope , bromance, roamans and an overall interesting story.I love the second couple, wish they had a drama of their own and would have wanted to see more of the sisters story.
HOWEVER -
I do not really get the blaming a 12 year old for... well anything and I do not really get the whole dad part... Love the way our male lead pushes the dad away but do not really get the wife/dad/kid situation so the premise of the story does feel slightly off...
It has a few to many of my pet peevs, some parts of the story are confusing and they tried a little too hard to try to get the audience to cry leaving me wuth less tears and more of a oh come on... So while it wan an easy binge that had me hooked those last two to three episodes just didn't give me closure or protocolary interesting development. Insted it just added moments of annoyance and confusion.
taking away quite a bit from the over all score that could have been an 8 or even a 9...

Cotton Candy Costume in the Clouds... With Thunder
Come away with me.... and will kiss... Watch this drama and get swept away to a fluffy worlds high up in the sky gorgeous colors, flying whales and flowers as far as the eye can see. This is a drama that you start watching and without noticing you have seen 10 episodes and long for more. The plot has a lot of well known and well loved tropes and cliches, and can feel a bit rich a costume dram made light and highly accessible making it a dram that fits both new comers and people who have seen a lot of these, as far as I understand, me I am more of a newcomer but not a complete nube.
What I love about this is the pace, the visuals and the rare fact that no one annyd me to the extent of me wanting to skip scenes. Do not get me wrong there is one annoying character and a whole bunch that had my blood boiling. But the annoying character was manageable and got less annoying with time. The blood boiling types well they kept my blood boiling throat and in a good way.
The female lead is a naive one, but not to naive and though she may not always be my cup of morning dew at the end of the day she has some pretty powerful scenes, and delivers her character/s really well.
The male lead is just perfect, not in a ooh I want to date this guy but in a entertaining, cute, romantic at times, cold as an iceberg other times. Acting is spot on and the chemistry between the two makes not only fierworks but makes way for a lightning storm or ten...
The Second male lead and second female lead (if that is what she is) are also this rare commodity of lovable but not to lovable. They will not give us SLS but not make us want to throw them in to a pit either.
There is also a pretty good balance between suspense, fluff, intrigues and humour. I for one could not help but laugh every time the cold male lead smiled.
And then there is this whole body swap thing, that always has had some parts to it that have gotten on my nerves in other dramas, but did not in this one so an extra point for that too,
I am in no way saying this drama is perfect, but it is just so pretty, entertaining and definitely worth a watch. It is also a lot shorter than many other dramas of its kind and to be honest I would not have minded another episode or 20.
P.s. This is deffinetly a drama you will want to binge so make sue you have the time for it when you watch it.

Slowly Slowly... a lot of yummy but also a whole lot of meeh
This drama is one part food/cooking, one part traval, one part friendship and I guess one part music/entertainment drama... oh and a romance... Without Drama.I love most of the side characters, sweet fun to waych, goid friends and have lovely interdynamics. But it also has some really badly preformed, and badly written characters..
Both leads have their charm but to be honest this feels a bit like a teenage daughter of divorce with a cheeting father... sat down and fantasised with her friends.... And wrote some kind of extremely unrealistic fantasy. some kind of type of fantasy drama... more unrealistic than time travel, magical creatures types of fantays. The type that is there to makeup for all the wrongs of her family all at once with very little drama but also the female lead is portrayed as a kid/doll. Thus making me believe it is indeed a story written for kids.
The female lead has some fun bad ass lines here and there... as well as the occasional show of character. However most of the time her mimics, the way she is dressed, the way she runs, walks... are all a crossover between toddler and ballet dancer. Girl can fall asleep at any time and I'm pretty sure she is served milk at one point or another.
The male lead has no time yet is the one making all the desisions, cooking and what nott... he is also 7 years older than than the female lead with a huuuge maturity gap between them. However not a single person seems to mention the age gap... Normally age gaps don't really bother me but here the maturity gap is just too big.
I can't help but wonder about the brainstorming sesion when choosing the ml occupation and character.
Let's make him a voice actor
No we need more
Ok a singer
No we need more
Ok how about a healer...
No we need more
Ok he needs to be a master chef too
No that is still not enough we need more...
Hmm... ok lets take all of the above add some mistery and make all of this secret identitys and throw in a sviour complex and make him a director, planner and... and... a pioneer yes he was a pioneer too... + never had a girlfriend at age 29 because he was waiting for the right voice to come along...
How about the fl?
Fl... fl... hm... ok she can be a foodie who cant cook, composes but rather not sing her own song though she has a nice voice that can't hit high notes. Oh she should be a student too... maybe work at a supermarket or something like that... you know so girls can find something to relate to...
The show has the healthy mains relationship tag and is discribed as a geen flag... but honestly something about him keeps bothering me and though he doesn't force himself on the female lead even once, this is not really a relationship between equal. So my standards for healthy relationships is a bit different than this one...
My favorite characters are the groups manager and the two singers in the group whoem are waaay more interesting than the leads. I aloso loved the cosplayers. Fun to watch and a ship I would love to see the friends of this show in a Taiwanese spinoff...
The pacing is a bit off at times painfully slow... matching the theme song slowly slowly we fall in love... though the falling was fast apparently they had a parashoot with a propeller...
An okay watch with a whole lot of beautiful shots (mainly of food), and a whole lot of good (mainly side characters) but to much meh to get a higher score.

Love at first wrist grab...
This drama feels like the fantasy of an old house wife who just found out here husband was a d*** who cheated on her and is now wondering what if she had put herself and her career first... maybe gotten together with a younger guy, with the cold cool musician she once saw...The female lead is supposedly smart, successful, fun etc she has some pretty big trust issues, princess syndrom and well seams pretty stupid at times... there is definitely a lack in communication skills here.
The male lead, is a cold, pretty good looking and has an intense passionate gaze... The guy also lacks all verbal communication skills but is completely fluent in wrist grab as well as sack of potato lifts.
While I do see that both have a lot of tension I never really understood when they fell so passionately for each other? was it in the censured scenes not available for us? or was it a spell? does she have a thing for wrist grabs? Does he have a thing for drunk girls? I am not sure?
But dude does not seem to be able to communicate at all. not in the beginning, not in the middle and not in the end dudes lack of communication skills are constantly there... luckily the girl likes wrist grabs so they seem to work things out anyway... most of the time.
The second couple is an immature pair of on and off... the second housewife fantasy... Both feel like 13 year olds and not like consenting adults, making the paring feel very off...
The second male lead is as manipulative and evil as a second male lead gets, you will probably not get SLS here.. you may ship the FL with one of the girls in the drama as they seem to actually be able to communicate with each other but since the girls do not practice wrist grabs I would advise you to just let that thought go...
There are a bunch of other rivals who show up here and there, unnecessary conflicts and a bunch of business stuff that make 0 sense but cause drama . There are also a bunch of lovely gestures, fantasy stuff that work on screen but do not do it for me... at all.. there is some slow mo stuff, waves, fire works , men who can both clean and cook women who can work but not clean or cook...
So if you are looking for wrist grabs, passionate kisses, gestures and mindless fluff... with a dash of WHAT the... go for this , if not move a long...
P.s the dubbing is also off

The thin line between love and hate - a toxic love story
This is not just a slice of life but a whole pie of life as we follow these two girls and the people that affect them from childhood to adulthood on a journey of self destruction, hate, pain, more pain, self blame, hate, obsession and possession. The acting is phenomenal and so is the storytelling and cinematography. Each episode has a build up and ends with a line that makes you want to press that next episode button, to find out what will happen next, We the viewers are given small clues, but they take their time telling the story, preparing us for the twist the lie ahead . I rarely watch dramas in bed while my husband is still a sleep but this time I just had to see how it would unfold. So I turned off the sound just in time for episodes that even without sound evoked a whole lot of emotions in me that I found myself lying in bed crying my eyes out in the silence of the early morning. No violins needed.
The characters are not always lovable, they are human beings imperfect full of mistakes, full of hate oh so much hate. (mostly towards themselves) , there is a show of several social issues and representation without taking away focus from the main plot. And while I do have some issues with coice of words here and there this is without a doubt a drama I highly recommend. Just make sure to stock up on sleeves, tissues or whatever you prefer to use ro wipe your tears and snot for the episodes somewhere in the middle of the drama.

Last Cringe
Welcome to the last cringe a drama about a spoiled brat with 0 personality who losses his sight after an accident and pretty much blames the wrong person for his loss of sight and the lost boy in trouble who ends up taking the spoiled brat on a journey to adjustment in to his new found circumstances...Along for the journey we meet the cool bad ass all round best friends of both leads, and some other side characters that are better actors/actresses than our brat lead and also got more interesting characters, as mr brat lead may break out of his room adjusting to the world out there while managing to stay a self absorbed brat from start to finish. Seas acting feels kind of off, and I can not help but think that his smiles and tears look so forced that he looks like he is about to shit his pants... However he does do a decent job looking like a person that is visually impaired thus making me feel that boy has hope, just needs more acting classes and coaching beyond the vision part of the character.
Jimmy on the other hand seems to have gotten both the coaching and better lines. He rocked, had a lovely character that if you just put a side some self blame and self sacrifice was both fun to watch, lovable and versatile. Dude had character development, a hint of playfulness, was an all round good person etc
Very little in this story seems proportionate so the story is not very well written, the lines are cringy and there is some kind of theme of going from I hate you to ohhh you are the cutest little puppy, I am sorry I love you... with no process what so ever like flipping a light switch people go on and off and on again... I am not saying people should not forgive but come on you can not go from I love you , I hate you o I love you again without any reason.
Last but not least: Mark, Namtan, Kun and Film deserve better than this drama, they did a great job with what they got but still deserve a lot better.
That said it is an easy binge with a lot of fun moments, just to many moments of oh come on... and cringe... cringe... cringe...
Also: There is some serious Marry Popins bag action in this, as the boys seem to be able to fit awhole wardrobe in 2 small backpacks.

Clichés in Contract with a sweet scent of broken flowers
The opening scen of this dram draws us in a we hear the narrative of a girl who was raised to become a commodity to be sold by entering the contract of marriage . Dark and orange red lights accompany us to the view of Go Kyung Pyo stepping in to the shower while she steps out though the dark apartments door in to a light hallway... Giving us a feel of high end dark and a bit naughty... However viewers are then thrown int to the light bubbly sweetness which is basically Park Min Young. Giving us a story of love, geometry, corporate politics and human relationships viewed from a bunch of angles. The budget for this drama seems to be pretty big, not only seen by the star studded amazing cast but also bu the amount of PPL to pay for it. As there is so much PPL in this that it is impossible to miss out on it, even though you may be shocked by the missing Subs from Subway and face masks you get cars, Kopiko and the ever folding Samsungs instead.
Go Kyung Pyos character is wonderfully portrayed, awkward, straight forward, introverted to the core, a sweet little puppy and as usual the king of back hugs, there is no doubt that this guy is good at his job making great use of his eyes and slow mo it is hard not to fall for this guy.... Especially when put next to a fluffy cat.. Kim Jae Young also delivered a memorable performance, with captivating flirty smiles, playfulness this guy is the warm bubbly, emotional, perfect contrast to the other guy. Having both the cat an girl between these two was a lot of fun to watch in this highly contracted and respectful (most of the time) love triangle. The addition of Lee Joo Bins character in to the love geometry was the cherry on top for this geometry lover (yes I admit it I love em).
The ex husband/roommate played by Kang Hyung Suk may not have added to the geometry but was amazingly casted, well preformed and made me wish for a spinn off (I rarely want spinn offs) where he gets to be the star of a rising star rom com of his own.
There where a few annoying side characters who got a bit more screen time than I would have wished for taking down the score a bit, however they are manageable and though they did make me reach for the mute button I did not feel the need to skip the scenes with them all together. There are a few decisions that seemed to be there only to prolong the plot without actually giving it any substance, most of the twists were highly predictable but I do not really mind predictability so it did not really bother me.
The umbrellas in this drama are top of the hill... Red warning umbrella was so well used I could not help but laugh at the sight of her. There are also a bunch of good poetic lines here and there, which come off as oddly funny when delivered by the cold male lead. " Broken flowers smell the sweetes" (or something like that) would have felt like a way to slick buttery line if not delivered with a stone cold face.
The story really is nothing new, had I seen this a year or two ago I would probably have rated it higher as it does indeed hava a bunch of cliches and stuff I love but since there is some meeh moments, a few draggy parts , highly mutable parts and other parts that could have been explored a bit more I realised that no matter how much I love the cast and found most of this drama enjoyable I could not ignore them completely and thus settled for 8,5.
So to sum it up, if you like the cast, enjoy geometry and do not mind a bunch of cliches go for it this is a good choice for you.
If you want something new and exiting and hate PPL pick something else.

Fallen star done right
This is another one of those dramas that just draws you in and before you know it it is over...To be honest we have seen this type of story before in several dramas, all rated highly by me, and all loved in their own little way. This drama does not have a lot to add to the lot of dramas of this type story wise even if it does have a slightly different angle and has the star fall a bit deeper than most other dramas do.
HOWEVER it does have Suzys amazing acting, singing and all round awesomeness.
It also has really beautiful cinematography a bunch of lovely friendships and extreamly few moments of annoying.
The biggest downside of this drama is it leaving me wanting more, as well as the high age of the actors supposed to play 21 yearolds (not very believable, sorry). However the acting, chemistry, kissing, emotions are all spot on and I loved pretty much every second of watching the interactions between the leads and the second female lead.
Definitely a drama worth watching for all those who can appreciate watching falling star dramas and can handle some darkness and spunk.

Good enough but could have been a lot better.
An easy binge with a sweet story, but a bit to much cringe and predictability, and unnecessary choices to make it all the way to the top. That and the slightly to oblivious side characters that had lovely friendship vibes but also had me wondering if it ok to be that stupid and still hold up a job. The job-Hunt stories in this seemed to want to teach the viewers a lesson about the importance of seeing the person as well as right -person, right job which is not a bad message but it felt relative, slightly boring and shifted focus from the main story.Han Ji Min is an amazing actress (yes,I am bias, so feel free to deduct a star if you don't share this bias) who shows yet again that she can both be warm, cold, smart and stupid and everything in between within the same character. No matter who she acts with they will make fire works happen young an d old. there is this aura around her making her that just fits in.
While she has decent chemistry with the sides and male lead her chemstry with the kid topped it all. Their interactions where just lovely.
Our male lead was a lot of fun when he was a cold lightly offish character but once he turend soft and submissive he became just a little bit too sweet as well as had this slow slightly preachy way of talking that kind of put me off... That said kisses where good and so where the hugs. Also, the guy spent a lot of kate evenings away from his kid... making me wonder if he really had the work-love-paranthood in check or if he was more of an intervall father.
Some of the twist where rushed others draggy, not a single twist surprised me though...
A decent watch, that could have been better

A real terjeker among the stars.
There are so many beautiful portrayals of stars in this drama that I think I may fall in to tears the next time I look at the sky. As I honestly can not remember crying this much during a drama since 1 litre tears. So obviously this is a drama that made me feel stuff, stuff I didn't even know I had in me. So even if the drama was not perfect, and made me a bit uncertain how to feel about certain parts of the drama such as he dragging out the depressed to make them do stuff thing . And there may be some parts that are made a bit to simple but the way our female lead was not cured by a week of fun upped the score a bit. Basically I guess it got to me.The subject of loss, guilt, depression and suicide are never easy and I could not tell if it was the moments of smiles, humour and happiness that made me cry more or the way the female lead conveys her emotions (or lack of emotions) so well. The contrast between the cheerful teen and the numb adult hit really hard, so did her different interactions with her friends form the past and those who tried to save her.
This show dares to show men who are both are vulnerable, introverted, bubbly, sporty... nerdy. there is a show of deep friendships, sweet smiles, flirting, jealousy, I guess Life and then cut to how a persons death can affect so many of these relationships, And does it without shaming our highly depressed female lead. It also offers some of this years most powerful lines.
"It's not that I was busy I just struggle with enjoying things by myself "
"I can't imagine in how much pain you are in"
There is also a slight hint of LGBTQ+ rep in this that could make for a nice sequel of life goes on...
Definitely a drama I recommend just make sure to have tissues.
P.s the male lead and his friend are extremely charming with smiles that can melt anyones heart

Darker, deeper more bloodey ok 2nd part.
The second part of this drama took the otherwise "light" plot and turned it darker, much darker and wondered in to the depths of the psychopaths mind in a beautiful display of blood and art. Giving it a completely different feel to it and making it smart, kind of disgusting and pretty interesting... Consequences of actions unfold as the screen is covered with blood, lots and lots of blood. But then came the cringe of the last episode a long with some cliches so I found myself lowering the score a bit.
It is still a relatively good watch that does not take the issue of suicide lightly while exploring it from a whole bunch of angles... one of the better attempts but it just misses its mark...
There is a clear difference between the 2 parts, not enough to motivate splitting it in two but the two parts are indeed very different. the guest actors keep on impressing and there is still just a little bit to much yelling and crying out loud for my personal taste...
What can i say, get ready to explore some gore... And watch out for that last episode.

Not a very good sequel,/spin off nope not very good at all...
This is pretty much what you get if you take the Adams family, give them superpowers add a bunch of odd stereotypes, put them in mission impossible goes honest and becomes a cop show honestly any cop show will do put them all in a blend/word mix app and ta da you got this show. The most interesting character in the whole show is the villain who is not only fine but is the only one with a story... Dude is as evil as evil gets but he has his reansons and if only he were the male lead, maybe just maybe Nam Soon could have turend the bad boy good... or we could make a copleatly different story just for him maybe have him date the mom in reverse K2 type deal or maybe just give him a different lead to fall in love with all together... Anything would probably have done and uped the score from this otherwise pretty boring mess...
That said there are some moment of interest and intense stuff some of the friendships here are nice and the mom and grandma have their moments. The. grandmas guy and the cop male lead have thier moments of sweet but to be honest t he cameos 3 seconds of Bong Soon probably stand for one of the stars in this rating.
So if you loved the first season for it's chemistry and fluff, You are bound to get disappointed as it is just not there...

Rapunzel, Ursula and the Evil Capitalist House of Cards
What do you get if you cross Rapunzel with The Little Mermaid And Shopping King Luis and throw in a bunchh of annoying characters.... Well I guess this, this is what you get...The Male Lead has some good sides to him (other than his smile) as he starts out as goodie good, good guy... poor unfortunate guy tries to survive in this world turned cold male lead with a hint of cruelty (just a hint). But after a while he turned in to this softer than soft guy who speaks sooooo slowly an mildly that it triggers my gag reflex. Think Kindergarten teacher meets priest in an afternoon special type of voice and character.
The Female lead is portrayed as childish but in a non annoying way, she is smart just not used to the world and looks at the world with these amazing curious eyes and does not need to be spoken with as if she was a toddler. She is powerful and ambitious, dedicated and so on...
The rest of the cast series in annoyance, and are mostly an unstable bunch who will love you one moment but hate you the next and vice versa. The truly evil characters are more evil than evil... Some evil characters start evil but go good... Other good guys turn out mmeee .... Those who go from good to bad seem to cast a spell on the rest as they are easily forgiven. But I will say that the evil psychopath of this drama is very well casted.
There are a lot of intrigues in this dram stuff happens all the time.... Some is interesting some not... most of my interest was taken away by the seemingly comic relief characters that just kept annoying me and the romance just felt wrong. Well filmed and fluffy with a guy who does actually seem to be kind and grasp most of the basics behind consent but it still felt just wrong.
Nothing I would recommend but it was fine for me though I will admit I ff some parts....

Fluffy, but repetitive and boring
I love fluff, I love the male lead and I love clichés but non of this can save this drama as it is repetitive boring, predictable and has 0 contact with reality making me wonder if the writer ever met an animal, much less a vet.The leads are actually pretty decent, the annoying characters and elements are surprisingly low and the realtinships in this are actually not bad. But there is this whole detective theme to this that makes me wonder when the vets actually have time to heal animals if they are off exploring mysteries all the time.
I really do want to watch this, just so I can finally see the leads fess up to their emotions but something tells me Ill have to sit thrugh another 14 episodes of nothing interesting to get there and I doub't it will be worth it as their chemistry is just not that great to begin with...

Love the umbrellas (at least ) 7 times
This is one of those dramas that is just impossible to rate, the story is ok predictable at times, interesting at times, meeh at times...It has pretty much everything and more but I feel like it would be enough for them to love each other twice or maybe three times but seven just feels like pushing it... that said the umbrellas in this drama are top, the less predictable twists (few as they may be) are really good to.
The leads are both lovely, taking turns with being smart, and less smart, bickerish push and pull and incorparating most of the tropes of dramaland, they did after all have to fall in love seven times + there where a bunch of side characters that also had to fall in love.
The main villain is as selfish and evil as it gets, the other villains have interesting character development and seem to have a bunch of dimensions. And again the umbrellas in this come in different colors, used for a bunch of different stuff and show up in the most amazing slow mo settings.
An okay watch... But could have been better if it had less episodes and if they focused on the loving instead of the quontaty of times.
Also I love the pig, tiger and cat! Those are lovely too!
