Objectively good just not for me

This is a drama that I can objectively see is good and objectively understand why someone would recommend it it to me and most people. As it has a great cast, a new take on supernatural investigations and a whole lot of good to offer.

However the male lead is as stupid as it gets, and is just alittle bit to stupid for me to enjoy watching him. And I am just not one who enjoys episodic mysteries that much. While I did enjoy watching them raise some issues once the show gave life and emotions to objects they kind of lost my interest, it felt a little bit to silly for me.

So actors Great!

Female lead- Amazing!

The mom- Loved her!

Story- actually pretty good

So for those who like supernatural, objects with emotions, investigation with fun twists and mostly lovable characters this is a great place to find it.

If you are like me who needs to connect more with the story, cast and so on you might as well watch something else.

Friends and lawyers in the beige city

This drama gathers a really lovely cast mostly old familiar faces that I have seen in law dramas before. The drama has a slight hospital playlist meets law school vibe but without the drama and suspense of law school and without the deep friends to lovers tension of hospital playlist as the romance and plot is as beige as Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young) suits.

Basically taking something that could have been great but making it a bit draggy and with a complete lack of spark. The episodic nature of this was just flat and most of the stories where neither new or especially interesting, giving me the feeling of Iv seen this before done better. That said the drama does have enough moments of brilliance to push it towards the 8 star rating and those are:

1. The meals the group of friends share in this and the way those five interact and bond as a group Shows some of the sweetest moments of friendship to be seen in all of dramaland.
2. The married couples plot-line, the way they interact, the support and the playfulness of their relationship.
3. The work wife/husband dynamics between An Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk) and Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young) platonic friendship between genders that just works so well and makes you (or at leas me) wish you had one of those at work too.
4. The bromance between Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok) and Ha Sang Gi ( Im Sung Jae) I could probably have watched a spin off with just those two.

So to sum it up this is probably more of a 7,75 than an 8 but worth a binge for the characters just don´t expect a mind blowing romance or an interesting plot and you will be fine

P.S the PPL in this was lovely with both Kopiko, Subway and a bunch of drnks... made me feel so familiar...

Sloppy

This is a pretty mediocre drama, despite having a decent plot, a good mix of drama, depth and fluff it still falls flat due to annoying elements, sloppy badly handled predictable twists, a whole lot of boring scenes. Taking away focus important scenes in favour of cheap twists.

A bit like being served fast food in a 5 star hotel, or gourmet dishes served on paper plates in a crowded stadium it just feels wrong and sloppy. The flavours are there, the ingredients are top but while some parts are overcooked or even burnt it is still frozen in the middle....

As I love the leads, I love one of the second couples, I even loved the second female lead in the beginning.

There are a few scenes that are pure gold where they talk about family, divorce, and obsession. Where they actually show a slightly different angle of the broken family then I am used to seeing on screen, with scenes that reminded me of the less happy moments of my childhood, and while I almost started ot get my hopes up by the end of the twist/plotline all had been ruined... Or at leas I found it hard to relate.

The intimate scenes between the leads are top, top, tastefully made and delt with really well, however the introverted couple definitely stole the show, and honestly the third couple came in with a bang and while I love the bickering trope this was done so badly and annoyingly that I had to skip their scenes just to be able to finish this.

This is a drama that tries to answer the question: The bonds of love (or regret), are they strong enough to make you recognize the person you love if they wake up 2 years later in somone elses body?
How about friendships or family?

Is it the person or their back you fall in love with?

And who is truly a stand in? Arn't we all just standing in for someone whenever we are in the wrong place?

It is also a drama that will make you want to google a bunch of stuff like inhairitance laws and copyright.

The second male lead is really cute, not as good a singer as they seem to try to make us believe but deffenetly the type of character that steals the show with just one scene.

While there are a lot of attempts to make the viewers forgive and fall for the rich male lead and his family. I aint falling for it, actually it had me rather annoyed instead. Making me want to say, oh for just admit that the guy is trash, and that sometimes people fall for toxic waste dumps and move on with tha plot instead of covering us with flowers and perfume...

The logic in this is lacking and the cringe towards the end is the type that had me hiding behind my hand with one eye showing.

An okay watch, entertaining most of the time.

Ps the intamacy scenes and side characters where really well made.

Still, very still

Still + Life, very still life a moment in time captured on film that gives it the feeling of watching a Documentary without the narrating voice that often follows + some fantasy shots here and there to make sure we know it is a movie and not a Documentary.

About 50% of the film is a bunch of half naked working men, eating noodles and singing... concrete surrounded by beautiful views, more concreete and demolishen work spraying even more concrete around.

Not a lot of dialog, not really sure what actually happened as it was really boring... and though there are some powerful scenes here and there they are clouded by the dust from all the demolition work...

The quality of the filming has a nostaligic feel to it that had me thinking it was shot in the 70s and not end of the 1990s-2006...

But it is indeed a still life film

Ambush...

Well... this was slightly confusing a movie where they spared the blood but not the gunshots with very little plot (if any). A movie where we are left to fill in the blanks quite a lot, I guess you could say this is a movie without a mission therefore they had to call it The Mission.

A movie that has you wondering why is a man who has just survived an attempted assassination always i big spaces where he can easily be shot?

I get it that this was pre covid and pre teams but I am sure they could schedule meetings in slightly safer/more controllable settings. But then again we would not have anything to watch now would we*?

An ok watch that was oddly entertaining at times, stupid as ***

Sweet and Simple with a side of Cringe

This is the story about a sweet introverted boy who broke his guitar, got turned down by his long time crush in a pretty cruel way and to top it off he attracted an obsessed guy who kind of lacks boundaries extrovert... but in a cute way.

After that they went on a sweet journey of friendship and music... plus a bunch of other stuff... There is love, awkward kisses, less awkward kisses... Mediocre to good acting (sometimes in the same person), some drama and a whole lot of scenes (ok 2 or 3) with a guy dramatically pulling empty luggage and a side of cringe.

The friendships in this are really nice, so is the mother, our villain is just awful and not even cute but most of all this is a fluffy orangey yellow lighting drama with mostly fluff and just enough drama to give it a story beyond the fluff... Easy to watch, easy to binge and had it not been for some of the over the top cringe I may even have rated it higher.

P.S: The styling and most of the acting preformed by of our extrovert lead was just awful the first episode, luckily it gets better... But Introverted boy rocks the introverted thing from start to finish.

Fanservice, fanservice, and more fanservice...

These two episodes are pure cuteness, some predictable drama seemingly there just to make it seem as if there is a plot or story but basically this is just a whole bunch of cheese, kisses and fluff.

Now I am a person who can appreciate fluff, so it still gets an 8 as I do get to see some beloved characters again... watch whatever happened next including some of my beloved bickering, gazes and what not so I am in no way complaining.

However I can not say that these two episodes where watched for a story... So if you enjoyed The Eclipse and feel like reuniting with some of the characters without having to use your mind or feel stuff go for it this will probably be a fun watch. If you are looking for substance re.watch the original story or watch something else.

P.S the kisses felt like the guys where trying to eat each others faces so no dead fish in sight... Also the OST is cute!

This review may contain spoilers

Annoyed me to death and had me pondering if someone would jump off that cliff...

Yes this review is pretty much all spoilers and me b*** about this movie, so brace yourself!

This is the story about the girl who got a heart transplant by peep hole surgery, and moved far, far away from any type of hospital to recover... Despite the surgery the girl seemed to experience shortness of breathe and had magic medicine to help her with that... Immune suppresents, foodlimitations and other stuff did not make the cut.

But not only did the girl receive a heart, she seems to have traded in half of her body as she pretty much got possessed by the ghost of her doner, became delusional and put her self in harms way making me wonder if this story was made by the anti organ donation lobbyist who would ultimately make her jump/fall/ be shoved off the cliff by her doner.

However she does seem to survive, and even though she basically ignores and pretty much cheats on her boyfriend with a ghost, nobody seems to care about that... like at all... preferably because anything goes if you have had surgery. The way she goes between the boys is almost fashinating. It was also pretty obvious that the boy was a ghost.

So yes I spent most of this movie cursing and thinking oh come on wtf... ?I(#€Q€OSF SDF

That said we do get to see some pretty great scenery, a really cute dachshund flashes by and we also get to see dolphins.

So if you shut of your brain and do not mind this type of story go for it the execution is not bad... as for me I bearly made it though.. .but do feel that seeing that dog and dolphin made up for some of the waisted time and annoyance this caused letting me give this a 6and not a 3 which it probably deserves...

A good way to understand the show

This behind the scenes was both entertaining and gave interesting depth to the story that helped me appreciate the short series even more, thus doing its´s job as 3 of the shows very charming leads answer questions about their relationship to the show, the characters and kissing scenes.

There may have been a bit to much talk about the kissing scenes, while also talking about how this show was deeper than just the average Y series with kissing scenes...

What I loved most about this was how it made me think more about what I had seen, as well as got me in to thinking and understanding the characters better. Making me draw. new conclusions of. my own... thinking about how it would have been perceived if it was shown in reverse?

So if you are considering watching He She It or have already sen it, this is deffenelty a good behind the scenes to watch, just watch it after the show and all will e well...

Short, Sweet smile generator

Say hello to the common BL cliches as the boy who defies BL tries to avoid them... part 2 started with a twist and ended with a twist... it follows the format of season one and is definitely not a show to see on it´s own.

The characters are pretty flat but sweet which seems to be the point, If you have not watched season one you should probably start there If you have not watched any BL´s then chances are you will not get part of the humour though some applies to any romance so it won´t be a complete waist of time... this could actually be a bit of a beginners guide to BL´s that can help people enjoy otherBL's more start with this, watch BL search for the cliches kind of thing.

What I love most in this is the intro song and the side characters... the main is actually probably the least fun of them all (which again seems to be the point).

I also find myself shipping the "wrong people" oh well... not a must watch but definitely an enjoyable one that had me lauging, and smiling once or twice...

Bad boy gone good, meets the evil queen and cinderella gone independent...

This is such a dose of fun humour and sugery fluff with a side of issues... almost guaranteed to make you smile, laugh and fall in love ...

Though this could qualify as a typical " All the best love stories begin with someone being vulnerable" the female lead here may be down at the bottom but she does not lose her integrity and ability to be bad ass and all round cool.. ok she is a little bit violent but always for good reason... She has great lines, great values, a smile that will make you melt and a playfulness rarely to be seen on screen. No matter what situation she is in she will stand up for herself and others. She sees the good in people and tells it like it is. And will not budge for any spoiled brat... While still having moments of vulnerability,,, odd but true.

The Male lead is a spoiled brat, in desperate need of someone like the female lead, Though I am a little but bothered by his age, the power relation between the two is more in his favour than hers and when it comes to maturity they have different types of maturity and kind of complete each other. But the age is an issue I will not deny that. Still the chemistry, playfulness and dynamics for this couple is off the top amazing.

The grandmother and butler are just a dose of fresh air, making me fall for them at first sight they are the glitter that makes this show just that much more fun.

There are so many great scenes in this drama, that are interesting and relatable, portraying how circumstances play in, in important life decisions.

This drama also has some interesting cultural displays, friendship, found family and a lot more to offer... No it is not perfect but I am in love, I truly am!

As you might have guessed this is now a new favorite and a drama I strongly recommend to all romance bad boy gone good lovers out there.... Also the cynderella theme is played with to perfection!

Genuine slice of life drama without to much additives

This drama, is more drama less romance and allot of slices of life coming together true the good, the bad and the day to day life.

In this drama we re invited in to the stories of two non consecutive generations of friends and lovers in the countryside showing friendship that has lasted generations and while life may change over time the strong friendship will remain. The drama incorporates allot of different types of (mis)fortunes but seemed to find a way to value the simple in life without falling for cliches like what doesn't kill makes you stronger but rather I get by with the help of my friends... And actually admitting that all things in life have expiration dates including love.... This drama will probably make you feel a range of emotions all from hate, loss, sorrow and fluff.... but not to much of anything which is why it gets an 8.5 and not a 10.

To be clear there is ALLOT of drama, allot of potential cliches made real by breaking them and allot of everything... and more stuff you would not imagine to see here uncovered slowly, slowly as the drama progresses. All the characters are well written, not all are lovely but non are annoying or unnecessary for the plot and though we get to see allot of very different life stories it is actually pretty cool to see how they all come together in this one little grocery store.

To be honest I was looking for something adapted from a Taiwanese Menua , I did not know what to expect, this was definitely not it but I am happy I watched it.

If you ask for it you may just recieve it, and yep I did...

After watching season one I asked for more time screen time for Bas and Marco as well as more depth for the real issues that only scratched the surface in season one. And yes season two gave me more or less all that I asked for after watching season one. While season one only tipped their toes on the surface, season two took a dive right in, still kind of in a pool and not ocean but definitely allot deeper than season one. I also got more time with Bas and Marco, maybe not as sweet time as I had hoped for but definitely more time with both so bad humor it is actually funny... Like going to the sea to get some vitamin sea.... as well as showing beautiful support and pain. All without deviating to from season ones plot line. Some parts where a bit odd and I would say a tad rushed, okay not some several parts could use some more build up and time, definitely more time both screen time and chronological time. Once you see it you will probably get what I mean, but to save you from spoilers Ill just say time is not a bad thing.... And this drama needs more of it.

All in all definitely worth watching, and Marco rocks (most of the time)

Covid safe cringe with allot of social media and facetime/zoom

This drama is something totally different then anything I have seen earlier and probably a very accurate portrayal of courtship during lock-down. about 95% of this drama is social meetings over one screen or another. Yet manages to convey both sorrow, jealousy, longing, and insecurity over the screens.

While one of the main leads seems to need to learn about boundaries the other one is shy and may be in need of a push... but it the guy did come on to hard for my taste. The people in this drama did everything from kiss, to morn, party and even meditated over the internet. Conveying allot of emotions threw the dubbel screens...

I loved how this drama approached several issues during the pandemic showing feeds filled with covid information, respect to the deceased, the front line workers while also tackling the big issue of loneliness during the pandemic issues that many people can relate to (including me who live in a country without lock down).

However this drama did not only tackel issues regarding the pandemic but also the importance to chose when, how and to whom one wants to come out to. Something that is never to be forced or done by any one else.

The chemistry between the leads leaps thru the screens and so does their very unik and lovable personalities. However it did go in to overly cringe at times being even fluffier then a c-drama. I can not say that I was very annoyed att any one and did feel that most of the characters in this drama had fun personalities that complemented each other well. Most of them showed respect towards each other, even if the guy came on a bit to strong in the beginning he did seem to understand the notion of consent. The leads seemed to complement each other well helping one another grow in their own individual pace over the screen with the help of social distancing.

All in all an easy to binge some times sad to watch but interesting depiction of life during 2020 embracing the pandemic instead of acting as if it is not there... that alone makes this worth the watch. And I must say I am very impressed over how this was made.
