80s nostalgia at its worst meets suspence and 80 nostalgia at its best
This movies starts off all colorfull as it ooses of 1980's refrenses making me wonder if the writers/stylists started this movie by just googling the 80's-1990's USA and then copy pasted whatever words they could find.As The Fast and The Furious/ Oceans goes to Seoul, the view of tiers burning to the sound of disco is actually not that bad. What is however a ceime against humanity is how they could take some of koreas most good looking men and make them look unatractive as no one and I mean no one not even Go Kyung Pyo can look good fake gold chains, 1988 or not.
While I get that the point of this show was action and nostalgia, it could have been achieved without ruining the boys images. As the sight of Yoo Ah In in gold chains is now forever loged in my brain. However Park Ju Hyun won the styling lotteri in this as she got to wear the best if the 80s and came off bad ass and cool unlike the boys who just look silly most of the time. Jokes aside this drama does have some ok stayling for the boys here and there too, as well some good car roaring vibes, not to mention raging lunatics, some beloved old characters without a pulse and beautiful use of colors and PPL that shows the evolution of popular brands combining nostalgia with modern day product placement. All light... And to be honest not that interesting/slightly annoying.
But once the first hiest is over the movie turns dark (not only the lighting) and becomes more and more bloody, nailbiting and interesting (styling gets better too), thus making pretty good use of colors, light and contrasts working perfectly together enhance whatever they are trying to enhance, and creating a situation where dark/light, betraial/loyalty, comedy/suspense, friendship/rivery, issues/nonsense... work together pretty well. And though Ill admit most of the comedy is not really my bottle of vintage coca cola the twists and my appreciation for these contrasts did end up making me go from thinking this is meeh lets just get thrue it to see what happens to thinkig oooo now this is interesting.
So in numbers:
Suspence: 8
Nostalgia: 10
Friendship: 9
Cinematography: 8,5
Emotional: 7
Annoying elaments: yes
Twists: 9
PPL:10
Styling: -10
Explosions: 8
Use of cars/trucks/skatebords: 10
So deffenetly an ok watch once you get passed the first half of second hand imberrisment and meehness

Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!

Cute and sweet but the male lead is a bit to much...
This drama truly is such an adorable dose of cotton candy sweet fluff... A drama that actually mentions the word consent more than once as well as calls lack of consent for what it is, that on it's own should probably give this a 10... However there is something about the "unlucky" male lead Kota that get's on my nerves at times even if he also has this adorable awkwardness to him and a playful side it is slightly drowned out by the over the top mimics and gestures. The other male lead is just the sweets, well acted out not over the top guy ever, I get why everybody loves him and wish we would have gotten to hear more of his inner monologs as I am pretty sure they would have been just as great if not better then Kotas. The supporting characters are barely noticeable but the do fill their function making this a very main couple centred plot, which I like, especially for a show as short as this.
Fluff: 10- it even has fluffy filming
Chemistry: 9
Romance: 8
Consent: 9
Suspence: 7
Annoying characters: Kota at times but the rest are decent
Bingabilaty; 10
Definitely a show I recommend to all in need of a dose of sugar between the hard stuff...

Beautiful, good at times, bad most of the time and annoying as...
This one is soooo hard to rate, almost as hard as it was to complete it...I would say that the characters where about 65% highly annoying and 30% amazing, great and 5% ok then highly annoying followed by ok than highly annoying again (the Female Lead) all due to writing not acting the acting was fina most of it at least not much worse than other stuff, but what was extra troubling was that the awesome characters kept interacting with the highly annoying ones, making it hard to skip if you wanted to see the awesome characters but also hard to watch because of the annoying characters. Such a SHAME and here is why:
The cinematography was beautiful, the scenery was mmmmmmm.... the faces were beautiful, the abs where not bad either... The second couple was adorable ans well so was the second male lead was just the cutest guy ever The umbrella here was such a star and it was used soooo beautifully! really enough to bring up the score. The dimple couple did look good together but their interactions where 50% annoying 40% cringe 10% cute and fun. Making my love for him fade because he liked her...
Kim Young Ok is an international treasure may she live long and prosper! the kids acting AND characters were great and one of the shows most honest lines was delivered by one of the most annoying characters.... yes it did have a bunch of good lines here and there I will give them that, but it was ruined by all the cringe.
Back to the bad, the way they make suicide sound easily avoided bugs the hell out of me, people who are close to people who have commited suicide ten to have enough what ifs as it is, making it seem like a person can hinder an attempt if they just call is just mean. And so are a bunch of other parts of this drama... cringe, superficial, highly predictable, very highly predictable in a bad way sais I who loves cliches but honestly about 80% of the twists where soooo predictable it was as if they were trying to throw us off but it was so clumsy made that any one who has seen a few dramas would guess it. Also great use of product placement as well as village feel and the found family trope thumbs up there!
Story as a whole is 8-9
Character writing 1-10
Dialog 1-10 stars
Bingebilaty 5
Extra points for some well done stuff are unfortunately less than the stuff done bad...
It is not the cast acting (most of it) that is bad it is the writing! I will probably try avoid that writer in the future...
So in conclusion if you like cringe and grownups acting like stereotypical children (an insult to children out there), or just love Kim Seon Ho enough to put yourself thru this than all the power to you enjoy! Me I am happy it is over...

Abs over plot
This is one of those dramas that you are sure to forget you watched as it is pretty mediocre, its not really bad and it does have some nice moments but honestly there is very little build up or process. Moods swing in the blin of en eye to make time for shower scenes slow mo shots of naked upper bodies, buttons gone undone, kisses and more buttons getting undone. So if you just want to relax, watch hot n cold come together without much plot this is not a bad choice as the boys did indeed work on their upper bodies quite a bit and there is nothing really annoying or bad in this. Just do not expect, well anything and you will be fine,

Sweet and slightly addictive.
This is one of those dramas you watch firstly for the friendship and secondly for the romance. As this Japanese combination of Dawsons Creek meets Cinderella with something more in between offers us a whole lot of broken dreams, beautiful friendships as well as some pretty interesting characters and some decent lines."Isn't it pointless to be together if we are all the same"
One thing was very clear in this drama, the characters were definitely not the same, while some were more lovable than others. I will admit there was something in this group of people that had me hooked from the first episode all the way to the end .I also found myself falling in love not only with the character Natsumi with her extremely bright smile but also with the name Natsumi.
Besides the lovely friendships, the drama also offers some really nice gestures and depictions of silent longing. The gaze in the male lead looks like he is constantly longing and about to break out in tears, offers great contrast to the female lead who seems to be able to smile though pretty much anything... Her family is overly kind one may wonder how they could survive in this world. And there are some twists that felt a bit off Ok very off so off that I felt secound hand emberrresed and felt oh come on not that trope... . However the overall feel to this is nice and cozy...
So what can I say it was a good watch, not perfect but pleasingly awkward with a hint of nostalgia...

Maybe not my Favourite but a really fun watch
This drama starts off with a whole lot of cringe, second hand embarrassment and a plea from me that one of our leads will please act his real age and not like a pree teen with low blodsugar. The other lead and the girl he married in the first timeline where however the sweetest people ever making me completely fall in love with those two...As the story progressed our main lead finally grew up and all was fun to watch, the pacing got better, the story had me hooked and I pretty much loved every single characters role in this. Annoying elemens more or less went while there was some cringe left Flukes constant flirty moves with his eyebrows pretty much made up for all the wrongs in this drama.
Was it a masterpiece, nope, not at all, did it actually contribute with a great massage or bring something new to the table? nope not really but it was entertaining, pretty to look at and while some of the dialog did provoke me just a little bit by offering some inspirational mumbo jumbo I still loved it. So while I did deduct some points here and there the over all feel is deffinettly an 8,5 maybe even a 8,75.

Cute and Angsty
Some people may say this is a drama about loneliness, others may say it is about how a persons childhood trauma can leave them scared shitless... Others or the same people may say this is a sweet and fluffy romance. And then there are probably those who will focus a lot on the kid and how this is about found family and connections.Me I managed to mention all of the above and probably left something out of this too but what I am trying to say is that this short drama has a lot to offer to different people depending on which angle they choose to look at this. As I am sure there is more to dig out of this very short drama. So basically so little screen time so many angles. Without it becoming messy. An achievement not many writers will active so hats off to the writer of this story.
The characters in here are all lovable, lovely, human beings with a bunch of flaws, fears and very different personalities that mix beautifully together to create very little drama but a whole lot of angst.
I personally love the way our lonely male lead talks with the kid in this drama instead of to the as many other grownups often do,
I can also relate so some of the fears shown in this drama, I am not going to get in to details about this but will say that the characters in this are indeed highly relatable.
This is definitely a short drama I recommend to most, they could have switched out some of the flashbacks to the past to some more details about relationships past. Part of me would have wanted some parts to pick up the pace other parts of me found the at times annoyingly slow pace to be true to the story so I guess this is just one of those things that will leave me undecided and up to you watchers to figure out how you feel about it.

Love like falling petals, but life with an illness sucks...
A beautiful spring night where the beauty of love and death collide... or something more poetic than that. This movie is beautifully filmed, the angles, the stories, the details the colures, the light the attention to detail is gorgeous.
This movie is here to tell us that even the shortest love story can make a difference and change a persons life without becoming too inspirational... The characters are real human beings, and though I may not always like their way of handling things I can relate to it and understand where they are coming from.
What I love besides the beautiful photography is the intensity and verity of the emotions portrayed in this movie, is them showing a person at their lowest and actually letting them be themselves at that point. Raw intense, getting diagnosed with a terminal illness at 25 sucks and boy do they show us that it sucks for both the diagnosed and everyone, yes every single one around them.
The movie also shows desperation and vulnerability in a great way but the best thing about this movie is the total lack of even if they are to love like falling petals... there is not a trace of make the most of what is left, live life to the fullest b.s in this and that makes up for all the aggravating choices within the movie.
So to sum it up, this movie is emotional, it is definitely sad and depressing but with a side of fluffy petals though the tears did not flow from my eyes it did leave me with a lump in my chest so to be clear this is an emotional sad story and not a fluffy happy place...

Decent start gone meeh
Another K that starts off really good but gets cluttered and drowned out by boring monologs and just a whole lot of nothingness... What started as a na 8 maybe even 8,5 ended up preachy and kind of meeh making me feel like they were trying to teach me about diffrent kinds of love instead of showing me it and making me fall in love. There are several interesing characters in this, no annoying over the top characters and I dare say I liked each character in their own way... That said our male lead was not bad, but kind of dull, giving me slight SLS as the other guy would have been so much more interesting leaving me rather wanting more... I also would have wanted to see more of the intern and the other couples as all of them were more interesting than the lead couple, a couple carried completely by HanJi Mins charm until she got lost in the lad of monologs.
That said its a decent binge, one that could hav been a lot better, still worth the watch just mind the draggy ending.

The grand gesture olympics...
This drama has so much going for it, the leads are great, there are no overly annoying characters, the intimate scenes are fluffier than fluffy, and the male lead takes off his shirt a lot... Add to it that it is a genre I generally enjoy, so how come I could not rate this higher than a 7,5?It could be my high expectations of the cast and theme or it could just be that this drama had a lot of potential as well as a lot of good to it, The characters where not bad, but they were not very relatable and very little about the situation and twist were properly explored or made any sense for that matter. It felt like they put all their effort in to making fluffy scenes with grand gestures and beautiful scenery that they forgot about adding a plot, depth... Etc. I just did not figure out when the female lead fell in love, there was very little hint of balance between the two, as most of the drama he just seems like a love sick puppy with a crush on his coach. So though the chemistry in the intimate scenes was there... it was more of a light switch deal on with the steam off with the steam... back to treating the guy like a kid,,, Add to it that Wang An Yu who normally has this amazing smile is seen making an ugly grin half of the time instead of making use of his beautiful smile making him seem more childlike and not the mature man he is supposed ot come off as...
The friendships are pretty decent but there is very little in this drama that will have you feel, well any kind of feeling as you wind up feeling ok, this was pretty, or that was a pity but move a long...
So was it bad, no not really, was it good no not really either... it is basically an easy watch that will shower you with gestures and beautiful scenes + scenery so if you are in the mood for fluff it is an ok place to find it, but I have seen better.

Love Bulldozer meets Icicle
This is a sweet, short easy binge as we meet mr. cold but sweet smiles as he ventures out in to the country side to escape his fathers pressure (and some other stuff), where he meets mr. tractor (also cutie smiles).Mr cold but sweet smiles is a walking talking lip gloss commercial. He is very a bit distant, angry, puts up walls but is shown to be sweet deep down inside. I guess we could say he is a popsicle melting in a water fight (the writers seem to have a thing for water-fights in this).
Mr tractor is probably more of a bulldozer portrayed a little bit to stereotypical, stupid country bumpkin for my taste, and I would be lying if I said it did not bother me. However he is really sweet and extremely lovable, the type who can tear down the wall of china with his smile.
The characters around them have limited screen time, most of them use that (limited) time extremely well and dare I say almost steal the show... other add on with a pretty face but an unnecessary twist. There is also an old dog, adorable farm animals and a whole lot of pretty scenery and splashes of water.
Definitely a drama I recommend, just be-were of the stereotype.

Time and Romance Can Be Confusing And I Loved It...
We have gotten love that transcends time, lasts a lifetime and the love that comes back life time after life time... And now we get to watch love that crosses over between a bunch of parallel universes... in a story about confusing time lines multiple universes a whole lot of complications... and I dare say parts that could be considered pretty messed up... Ok extremely messed up... But I loved it!The first few episodes had me thinking about the Corrs song "Only When I Sleep" https://youtu.be/TapUgpeFGfE
As we meet the playboy who falls in love at first f***, not sure if it was a dream of reality, the dude who thought he was straight got his world turned upside down when he found himself in the arms of another man.. and well things just got weirder from that moment on.... Keeping me on me toes making my heart flutter but mostly a whole lot of what the... and what, wait... Still I binged it in a go an djust kept wanting more...
The pace is fast, and to be honest there is not much of a process at least not in the begging to the whole falling in love part one would expect from a romance as the love between the two is already established from the start, just that mr playboy did not know it yet... however seeing the guy he just f*** left a big enough impact on him to start questioning his sexuality. As time in this is confusing, but if you can manage to read this review then you should be fine as it is not quite as confusing as my review...
The chemistry is good (but most people know that as these two have been paired together before. The acting is good, Flukes character is miserable at times but does not cry as much as he usually does in his roles. The story is interesting and there is this fluffy pink filter at times... Which is really sweet. The kisses are steamy and well the food scenes are both funny and steamy...
If I were to compare this to other dramas I have seen I would say it has a hint of Meet Me @1600 with a slight pinch of Someday or One Day and something completely different from the two that takes over... But what that is is beyond me... and without the depth of SOOD and without the Comedy in @1600...
If you scratch the surface you may also find some deeper meaning, you are who you are but your choices may differ, and a message about what ifs, the importance of being true to yourself and consequences of different choices. But you do need to scratch pretty hard to find this...
This is not a drama for everyone, I guess you need to want to be confused and see some steam... To be honest It is a strong 8.5 from me bordering on a 9...
P.S: I have not seen the alternate ending yet, I may edit this once I have seen it...

Relatable, and depressing with a hint of nostalgia
This movie is one of those slow icepicks aimed right thrue the heart... A story trying to answer the age old question will two miserable souls become happy when crammed together in a tiny apartment or will the two just become miserable? Do you have to be with the person you love or is it better to let go... How many setbacks are too many set backs, is there a way back in to love? Or is it just better to let it go? And does a break up mean we did not love at all? This is beautifully done with well timed flashbacks, filming angles as well as use of color/lack of color...
The acting in this movie is top, and so is the mood... depressing with a constant feeling of trying to balance between hope and pain.. waiting for the inevitable break up, and to find out what will happen when they reunite. How much of the movie will focus on each etc... Keeping viewers, or at leas me on my toes and with a constant lump in my chest.
There are a few scenes that hit harder than others, reminding me of relationships passed... an experience that may not look so bad but is indeed more painful than most people who just see it can imagine. And I love this movie for making way for that part of being in a relationship.
I also love the female lead, she is very much a human being and extremely relatable. The male lead does seem to lack some communication skills and even if he did remind me of my ex at times, he was not as bad as that guy but did need a lesson or two in communication and anger management.
So what do I say, save this for a day when you can handle darkness... but do not be afraid to watch it, it is one of the better slice of life movies out there.

Sweet and fluffy teen romance, where the parents stole the show
This is an easy to watch short and sweet series that is about 50% fluff and 50% educational. Though the leads of this story are supposed to be the teens the true stars are the mom and uncle who seem to be there to teach the audience how to be supportive parents. The mom here is a single mother raising her kid together with her gay brother. She is a concerned mother who pushes her son to do well. And a mother who worries a lot about her son. She has seen how badly life has treated her brother and does not want her son to have to endure what her brother went through, She seems to stand for the voice of the concerned parents out there. Though her conversations with her brother the viewers get a whole lot of education on the subject showing both concerns and solutions to them.
The uncle is the voice of reason in this drama, he is also pretty good looking and a character I would love to see lead a spin off for a more mature audience with less education and more romance.
The friendships here are supportive, fun and all round great however I can not help but wonder what the people around Q (the main lead) actually like about him as he is pretty self centred, immature, emotional, competitive and oblivious to his surroundings. Yes he does have a pretty face and he does seem to be able to care for others. I would have wanted to see more of this guys good parts to try to figure out why someone would actually like him.
X on the other hand is in need of a lesson in communication but other than that he is just perfect in every way possible. easy to love, easy to understand, not to emotional and extremely aware of his surroundings.
In short: bingabliaty high, fluff high, annoying elements few, quality low, entertainment decent. A bigger budget and a few more episodes would have been great!
Also you may notice that the "bad people" here all have darker skin then the main cast, so the production may be all gay rights friendly but does need to look over how they cast good vs bad people....

Money, Power , Betrayal and a bunch of really angry women
This is a pretty short drama showing the viewers that it is pretty tiresome for women to live in a world where men utterly suck... Can lead to a whole lot of frustration... And a feeling of wanting to get back at them by any means. As we gather some petty creative woman who will stop at littearly noting to get what they want or more like to get their revenge...Blackail, framing, embezzlement, marriage,, calling rape... And more or less anything else you can imagine. There is truly nothing these angry woman are not willing to do to get what they want or kill them all while trying.
What I love about this drama is the pure evil, the corruption, the twists and the feeling of wtf... and can a person really be that evil (apparently yes). All keeping my interst to click on that next episode and binge it in less than a day. However I did feel that the ending was a little bit predictable and kind of rushed and would have wanted another episode or two to wrap things ups a bit better. Another thing I did not like about this drama was the crying rapa narrative, as these types of things often discredit woman who have actually been raped as most women will not report this patly due to fear of accusations of crying rape.
I find it kind of cute that a man who says he only sees women as vessels for sex, somehow is the most allegeable bachelor out there... That woman, mothers heck politicians keep fighting for. While there actually is a rich, handsome guy out there who nobody seems to want to give the time of day? However for a drama not listed as a romance it actually has some pretty decent romance, feelings and unrequited love here and there. At least if you are willing to believe these people have the ability to love which I am not really sure of... Not really the type I would want to be part of but entertaining to watch.
So to sum it up, this very short drama delivers what it promises, has some pretty interesting characters and is indeed fun to watch. It may not always make sense and it may not be a masterpiece but it does the job and will cater for all your evil, corruption and revenge needs.
