They showed photos of the rest where you can see that they're succesful in their jobs, but that's all. About JunKi,…
I assume they're friends, but just moved on with life. Unfortunately, cast change was inevitable if they didn't want to delay s2 indefinitely due to real life issues the other original male cast were facing.
Oh but kdramas always know that the audience will forgive the main male lead for being rude to other characters…
Literally the initial post you were responding to was comparing rude male leads to rude female leads, and you used Soo Jung as your example. I naturally used Ryan as an example because surprise, he's the male lead in this drama.
Exception? There are plenty of dramas where the female lead is 'rude' and are adored. It's all about whether they have other redeeming qualities. And in Soo Jung's case, her redemption arc came far too late for many people. I'm not hating on Soo Jung, I'm pointing out facts. In fact, I came to not dislike her character half way through, so stop making assumptions. Just because Se Ho was at fault doesn't mean Soo Jung was null of blame. If you make a mistake, it's only natural to apologize for it. It took her half the drama to even *acknowledge* it; that's why people disliked her character.
>It's not her fault SeHo lied and her testimony accidentally corroborated that lie
Does this even make any sense? So if someone falsely accused someone for murder, and I testify without asking the accused a single question, and they're labeled as guilty despite not actually being guilty, I shouldn't feel any remorse? Yeah, miss me with that bullcrap.
I'm not disagreeing that sometimes people over-defend male leads (ex. Meteor Garden and all the other variants), or that sometimes people do hate on the female lead over very superficial stuff (Hwang Jung Eum and her screams), but your comparison and logic just don't make any sense,
You people have some kind of hard on for defending against female leads receiving any sort of criticism.

There is rude, and then there's ruining someone's life. Very odd comparison. Ryan's actions are nothing like Soo Jung's.
I currently am not the biggest Ryan fan either, but let's not compare him to someone who carelessly ended up framing someone for attempted murder, albeit not fully intentionally. How you people can praise someone for ruining someone's life and playing victim is beyond me.
Plenty of female leads are praised despite not being 'saints'; you shouldn't cherry pick like that. Park Bo Young's character, Bong Soon, in SWDBS was rude to Hyun Sik's character for a good amount of time, but we don't criticize her because she at least was able to immediately acknowledge anything she may have taken too far. Soo jung on the other hand? It took her a decade to realize anything, and she was still playing the victim card, not acknowledging anything Bok Soo said. This goes beyond being just "rude".

Part 2 soon please!
Just because she's not at legal fault doesn't mean people don't have good reason to criticize her character, but you do you.

The only redeeming factor for it was the title pun.
