Check out most of BJT's dramas.Edit:You Are My Hero (modern, romance) The Ordinary Glory (no romance, but it's…
I loved Reset I think it's one of my fav so far. I also watched You Are My Hero but that one felt a bit unrealistic and I wasn't too interested in the medical drama aspect.
The greenest forest DUAN JIAXU.. watch HIDDEN LOVE that's the parent story of first frost story of sang yan's…
I actually did watch that too (sorry I forgot to mention it) but I think this is a better drama due to the chemistry and backstory. Sang Yan is so dreamy and Wen Yifan is so relatable (I just want to protect her -_-).
I loved Duan Jiaxu and Sang Zhi's chemistry but for the first few episodes she was just a little kid pining over an adult so the age gap was a little annoying.
This is the second C-drama ever I've watched. The last one I watched sucked because ML was really toxic and controlling... so naturally I thought all c-dramas sucked. But I gave this a chance because I absolutely love the First Frost novel. And now? I think c-dramas are AMAZING.... how did I not realize this before? Please give me good c-drama recs to watch.
I loved this drama from start to finish and not a single episode disappointed me. It was good throughout... this is a must watch if you're into detective shows
If you mean WTPR is sexist in the way that it seems the men (Saeon and Heejoo’s dad) in the household control…
I come from an Asian household. I know what it's like having controlling and/or abusive people in your life. I just hate how she just takes it all like a doormat. I'm not saying I hate her, and I understand that her abuse has shaped her submissive personality. Despite knowing that, I still find it frustrating how her character doesn't do anything and just complies. Even when she's blackmailing him, she's so tame and forgiving that it's almost unrealistic. I just wish she had a more assertive personality. I can't help but wonder if being a submissive woman=lovable and being mute=innocent and worth protecting.
And regarding Saeon, yes he gets better in later episodes and helps Heejoo achieve some degree of freedom in her life. But you cannot deny that his actions were controlling and cruel initially. Whether he realized it or not, he made decisions for Heejoo without her consent which is inherently patriarchal and sexist.
Despite that, I still watched most of the show. I was just pointing out something that bothered me.
What this post failed to mention was the depiction of r*pe in the p**ngraphic poster Park Sung Hoon shared on his story. The girls get r*ped to death when they fail the games.
I would share the link but I don't want any kids to see that stuff. Just look up "Park Sunghoon's (Player 120 actor) deleted instagram story".
I hate sappy melodramas but this is so good and realistic... it's making me excited, hopeful, and sad at the same time. I usually can't stand these emotions and the realism of it all, but this drama is just so human. It draws you in.
The ML's acting is so tacky and awful. In what way does he resemble a kpop idol? His expressions are so weird and gross, his dance moves are just ridiculous, and the song he's singing is just not it. This actor doesn't have the charm needed to play a k-pop star. I have nothing against the actor but the producers really miscast the role.
I loved Duan Jiaxu and Sang Zhi's chemistry but for the first few episodes she was just a little kid pining over an adult so the age gap was a little annoying.
