When it first came out everyone was so negative about this, it seems that it has shifted in a positive direction.…
It really is a good drama so you should really check it out and form your own opinion

Idk about the people who can't see the chemistry, overall i like everything about this show.i became hooked since…
same I don't get why everyone's saying they don't have chemistry... they seem to be heading enemies-to-lover direction especially with Jang Tae-Sang having a huge crush on Han So Hee's character but her just finding him annoying

I want to try kopiko so bad, they're sponsoring all the dramas
same I've seen it in so many dramas already and I'm mad curious about what it will taste like

omg are y'all serious??? my demon is literally the best show on this list, it's not only aesthetically pleasing (attractive cast & great CGI), but the plot is intriguing and the main leads' chemistry is off the charts.

here's an interview showcasing the cast's insane chemistry:

Honestly i dont get why people don't like the FL. She had certain things she liked and it's not just going to…
Right? The double standards in this show were driving me up the wall.! Why do the villagers get a free pass to talk shit about her but when she does it, viewers continue to hate her even after she apologizes? The ML was so rude to her too for no reason.

I am at episode 6 and really frustrated with the ML's behaviour. He denies being interested in the FL, even calls…
yeah same I liked the FL but hated the ML and dropped the show at episode 12 because of him

New to k dramas? The male lead being that cold in the start is a common troupe. This isnt a thrilling drama, its…
Even by kdrama standards, the ML of this show was extremely rude to the FL. Usually in kdramas, the ML falls first early on in the show, and does a lot to make up for his rude past behavior and win over the FL. A few examples of this would be Her Private Life, King The Land, or Bora Deborah. But the ML was consistently condescending and sanctimonious towards the FL, and I don't think he ever made up for his mistreatment of FL as the series progressed.

I should know better by now that overhyped dramas are not my thing, they always fall short. I tried watching this…
I hate the ML of Hometown Cha Cha because he's so judgy and rude to FL. To me, the ML's character just isn't relatable or realistic. He envisions himself as being a better and kinder person than the FL. This is evident from how often he misunderstands the FL and acts condescendingly towards her, judging her for her materialistic lifestyle. Yet this wasn't the case, as we can also see the FL going out of her way to help others (ie., giving her patient a free dentist visit, fighting a molester who sexually abused her friend, giving the townspeople a free ride to Seoul). I don't think she's as selfish as the ML makes her out to be, and is, in fact, very strong, caring, and independent. She's actually one of my favorite FLs to date because of how she stands up for others.

What really confuses me is the amount of hate FL gets from viewers for her "snobby" attitude. In contrast, the ML is listed for on many subreddits as being "a near-perfect ML" that matches their (the redditors') ideal type.

Aren't all Kdrama and Cdrama ML's cucks?FL is manipulative, violent, abusive and ML just takes it like a little…
I actually enjoy modern romance k-dramas and don’t think they’re unbearable or have gone to the dogs … but we can respectfully agree to disagree

That's not true, kdrama FLs don't generally abuse men, and kdrama MLs aren't cucks or doormats. Either you just hate kdramas, or you're watching dated kdramas, but don't give them a bad rep for something that's not true. As for the sexualization of men, kdramas show the female perspective and are catered towards a female audience which is why you'll see female characters talk about how handsome and charming the ML is but not the other way around.

It's my favorite drama right now... it gets better with every episode and isn't anticlimactic or disappointing like some of the other k-dramas I'm watching.

This drama is actually so good ... ML is such a good actor and has great chemistry with the other characters. I like his interactions with people because he can portray a wide range of emotions with his face, like confusion or anger or naivety and ignorance.

i just watched ep 1 bc i've been loving kim min gue since business proposal...but question before i continue.…
I don't think she's a sasaeng but a fan. She met the ML on the street and he helped her get over some stuff she was struggling with. She also has a background in the K-Pop industry so she's trying her best to help him succeed as an idol.

WARNING: Spoilers about the first episode only!

I don't get why this drama has such a low rating.

This drama is really good. It's funny and relatable. I feel like I can really relate to the ML because of he's not able to pursue his passions and is told by his parents to give up his dreams. His parents aren't bad people either, they just don't wan't to see him fail (my mom says the same exact thing to me!!) and have financial responsibilities that force them to behave that way with their son.

ML is also struggling to find a job at a tech company on par with Apple (I'm also a CS student, and I think this is very accurate that it's tough to get a job or internship at these fintech companies without experience). I can really connect to the ML because of his struggles, his despair, and his dreams. I especially related where he woke up crying because he had a dream where he was CEO and he didn't want to wake up from that dream. That scene was sad but funny and also realistic.

Despite his hardships, ML is not a debbie downer. He has a good personality and is a positive person who tries to make the best of things. Somehow, he always ends up in hilarious situations. His character is both charming and good-looking.

Another main character is the middle-aged CEO of big tech-company where ML applied. He's a charismatic businessman with a strong stage presence. He gives excellent presentations for his new AI technology, and constantly wows everyone around him. He surrounded by suspicious people, and on his way to meet his daughter on a camping trip, he gets into a car accident. We don't see what happens during the accident, but somehow he ends up stuck inside a smartphone. ML stumbles upon him while he's visiting his parents' orchard in the countryside, and charges him. Then, the CEO offers ML a deal to act as the CEO in his place, in exchange for a million dollars and a position at his company. Honestly, that sounds like a dream, because ML is getting everything he wants and is the perfect fit for the job.

Also, the CEO's secretary (aka the FL) is very intriguing. She's very smart, practical, and frank. She's also a dedicated daughter who's taking care of her sick, hospitalized mother despite the heavy financial burden, and I respect her for that. She's also involved with some dangerous debt collectors, who almost coerced her into prostitution in exchange for her debts. All in all, she seems like a strong person who faces problems head-on and protects the people she loves.

FL and ML have great chemistry, and the premise is very exciting. I just finished the first episode and I'm hooked. I can't wait to see what happens.

The heck is wrong with the rating? O.o not even Cheer Up is this low on MDL xD and on these past few months it…
yeah, and it's a great drama too.
Honestly I wouldn't go by the rating system at MDL. I feel like a lot of people here are fastidious and rate dramas lower than they should be.
