As the lead role everything is on Xiao Zhan's shoulders. It is his name that brings the investors for such numbers. If this goes wrong, the director and him are going to be up against the wall for it. No different in plot, which I won't spoil. As such, yes, proper attribution is a must. The one who carries the responsibility, and the risk, and the plot, gets his proper place and that is Xiao Zhan.
She isn't any more brave than the other female supporting roles that exist in this drama, that will be named when the official announcement comes. Her possible role isn't even the most important supporting role. Since we are talking about this melon as if it were true, then both Hu Xianxu and Aarif Rahman come next and then Wei Daxun and yes, Li Wanda and Li Zhiting and Li Zefeng. If you are interested in other actresses we have Duan Xiaowei, Lan Yingying, Mao Xiaotong, Zhang Yaqin.
I am sorry if you dreamed of her as a main role in a XZ drama but you will have to settle for supporting. If the drama does well she will still eat at the table more than she ever could otherwise so it's surely a happy thing and she doesn't have one tenth of the responsibility 🤷
