I actually started to believe that Mei did kill Shoma. It is for a reason that we have not seen the flashback from Midori’s side when she said she saw Mei when the accident happened but we will not know until the end of the series.
And Mei’s father was a little bit of an dick. as he confessed in the letter he shouldn’t have led her mother on. No wonder that Midori looked disappointed at Mei in the park.
people don’t seem to see this in the same way I see it. In the past we get to see Mei being spoiled rotten by Midori. Mei was always the one that got taken care of, she was the one that gets to choose first which keychain she wanted, she didn’t even think for on second that MAYBE someone else also wanted the same thing.
Or when Midori was alone in the park at night because her parents were fighting and then Mei comes to her to say she is worried about her dad’s health. She never asked how it is with Midori. Of course when something sad happens with your parents it is a little too hard to think about anything else. But for Midori that was the moment when she started to realize how selfish Mei could be. and how she took all her friends for granted and expecting to always be taken care of.
And we know that how much she “Midori” wished for normal happiness and she was so close to getting it, but he died in a “accident”. So when she had gotten some information that it wasn’t an accident but he got killed by her old friend that she knows can be a little selfish. She couldn’t help to go mad plotting a revenge.
I really like Midori as an villainess. 😁
