Closest realistic portrayal of emotions in apocalypse??

After all of us are dead i was craving for something similar and then i found this.. It doesn't come close to that but does its work to engage me in the plot...
Story is the problem not the actors nor production.
The reason its a bit realistic is because how the students handle the situation and their motive behind taking part in the military training..
Overall it's just a cliche of all other apocalypse dramas.. Though the cause of apocalypse and how they deal with it is different other elements remains the same.
I did not go with the expectation that it would be like AOUAD, i knew it would be different, hence i was not disappointed but it felt too cliched.
What makes watching DAS worth is its slightly unique and realistic approach towards fighting the apocalypse.
