Editorials Morally dreadful. Sexy as hell.
Warning: There is some very, very grim human trafficking content.
Onto the review: First, you have to put aside the fact that Sun is truly a thug and Jay is a manipulative tsundere CEO with a bunny fixation -- and that Bank (who is an actual murderer) doesn't end up in jail (tho' what happens to him is both pitiful and richly deserved.)
The Mafia leader was literally diabolical -- hard to watch. Reviewers have felt that his death was too easy but it was perfect - he thought he was invincible and it was his own repulsive over-indulged body that let him down.
So what is there to like? All the support characters are well written and acted. There was genuine human warmth in the story of Sun's relationships with people he unknowingly helped in the years he struggled to repay his loan shark debt. And in his very understated support of his colleagues (who became friends) in his showbusiness life.
And, though other reviewers have not agreed, I found the relationship between emotionally closed-down Sun and Jay (despite Jay's initial serious weirdness -- tho' this is explained as the series continues) to be convincing and well acted -- and, bunny shenanigans aside, super hot.
