OMG.! What the? Seriously? SWOOOON
First experience of the Omegaverse -- sometimes bizarre, sometimes creepy, sometimes risible (I've read that somewhere there's a BL with believable fight scenes -- this is not it ) BUT absolutely addictive. This has been my weekly number one guilty pleasure.Firstly: Oat and Boat can float my boat anytime (especially Boat.) Oat (Phatsa is a whiny little spaniel type who can actually bite when his man is threatened; but mainly pouts and peers imperiledly through his overlong fringe.) Nakhun is your tsundere lead par excellence -- with a delightful whisky-truffle centre --- and OMG the biceps!
BUT somehow they work as a couple - I was rooting for a happy ending from the beginning. And hanging out each week for next week's episode.
It's all preposterous (but once I started thinking of it as a different iteration of vampire romance) it sort of made sense. The NC scenes were lush and steamy. (The second couple were sweet as sweet. The third creepy as truck! And the obligatory token GL couple were tissue paper thin.)
The production values are high and the sets are usually very welled dressed (as are the actors) but it does suffer heavily from that bane of Thai BLs - NEE (not enough extras) -- lavish mansion ball-room birthday party with what looks like 12 people in attendance -- a bar and a cafe that only ever have one patron other than the main characters.)
I really can't remember the soundtrack except for the oddly enjoyable, ostensibly sung in English? theme song.
All in all ? I loved, loved, loved it

Art no -- fun yes.
There were all sorts of the silliest of BL tropes in this.Teerak was practically village idiot level naive and with a blue gingham pinafore he could have been off to Oz - but he was actually a genuinely really nice person!
The products the friends came up with for their university level projects would have embarrassed junior school kids.
Of course Muenfa is going to fall for Teerak - he's adorable (breathy little girl, soft male lead -- ridiculous or not-- is a BL convention) -- and if you can't stand the cringe, get outta Oz.
It was fun and I was smiling to see them end up together.
One complaint tho' "saggy cheeks"?? This cute baby face had no sags anywhere.

Ick Title Aside; This Was Some Mindless Fun
Formulaic BL story in lovely tea-farm setting, some charmingly romanticized rural customs and characters, usual cliches etc. But an enjoyable watch. (Icky title is explained in storyline.) I enjoyed seeing the Enemies to Lovers trope replaced with One Night Stand to Lovers.Don't look for Art - not everything needs to be Art guys - sometimes Fun is enough.

Not setting th BL World on Fire: But Leaving this Reviewer with Warm Feels
I don't quite get the negativity about this series. Sure it has all the not-acceptable-in-real-world-relationships tropes that every BL story has - but you're telling me you're watching BL series to experience relationship examples worth following? Really? Who are we kidding here? The main couple had a sweet warm dynamic that was very watchable. And I genuinely felt for the emotionally inept second couple Tin and Can. I think it shows some good writing skills right there that I could be sorry for deeply flawed Tin.
I probably won't watch it again but I spent some enjoyable hours with Ae and Pete.

And Yet I persevered Till the End ...
This was a seriously lackluster series. The first couple had very little chemistry (the 2nd couple were a bit better.)My individual section ratings were suggesting an overall score of 4.5: but I actually rated it a 7 overall. Why? Well despite the actual delivery; the idea was interesting, some unusual things happened (the boxing ring bedroom was chuckle worthy) and I just wanted to see how the story of our couple with the EQ and communication skills of elementary school students finally turned out. So it was interesting enough that I persevered but I'd certainly not rewatch.
And also honestly!!! what was with the 12-year-old university Professor channeling Corey Feldman in Goonies
--- and Ritt's haircut!!! Come on, it was exactly the one sported by the "Simple-minded Villager" character in every old-fashioned Chinese comedy movie.

Chance!!!
I watched this a couple of months ago, mixed it up with another title and re-opened it on the platform I'm on (shout out to my fave - iQIYI). I didn't rewatch it but the series poster on this page jogged my memory. Honestly, I couldn't remember the story at all. But I had watched the whole series --- and then I remembered why.One word:
*** CHANCE ***
There's a template for Chinese heart throbs - Chance (like Japanese band Snowman member Raul) is that ideal ramped up ten fold.
Honestly cannot remember the series at all but if you want a heart fluttering treat, get yourself a heapin' helpin'
of Chance (aka Collins Ying) !!!

Classic Thai Dessert Instead of the Usual Cotton Candy
This series wove lots of different threads together so well. The very (very!) sad back story. The supernatural element, the mystery solving element, the central love story. The lead couple were a delight. I have never hung out for a happy ending so much in any BL before. So much more than the usual (often delightful, I have to say) fluff. Classical Thai desserts - as beautiful as they are delicious; as opposed to the usual cotton candy. The desserts were the metaphorical heart of this story. You'll get an emotional workout with this one and you'll enjoy every moment.

Best Ever Shower Scene in Entire BL Universe!
(First I have to get this off my chest! I have seen a multitude of obligatory shower scenes in BL series - they are always almost carbon copies of each other - but this was different, there was initially some genuine showering with shower gel and everything! It, of course, got more NC (not complaining) but it was better thought out and performed than any other I've seen. Hot!)In all honesty parts of this series dragged but the parts that were good were so good! I thought Duang was going to drive me nuts at first - even more Pollyana than Pete in 'Love by Chance.' [Tho Pete's sweet performance; in a perfect breathy, little-girl uke turn, made me want that relationship to succeed.]
But as Duang's ridiculous puppy-like persistence began to chip away at icy (emotionally damaged) Qin's resistance I became more invested.
Then this show turned all the BL personality tropes on their heads:
Duang; child-like, ridiculous and over-the-top (though retaining all the irritating puppy stuff) because of his experience of a secure place in a totally loving family: becomes a steady and wise emotional centre. Qin, cold and obviously the seme partner, realizes he needs Duang's really high EQ as protection and strength. And I have to say that this was really fine work by TeeTee, whose warm performance carried the show, managing to make Duang both loveable and admirable; despite the silliness about 'being a puppy'.
And then whoa! the reverse when we finally got (having waited like Duang till we could scarcely 'endure it') to the big NC scene! Puppy Duang is the 'aggressor' and Qin needs to be coaxed. It was so cool because it was so unexpected.
I think this series did a very good job of presenting the familiar BL tropes with a fun disconcerting spin. Not art - but very heartwarming.
AND OML! Por - the FACE, the VOICE, the S*EXINESS of the jazz performance (even his fingers are beautiful "Botticelli angel" fingers.) A gift to the BL fans of the world.

Morally dreadful. Sexy as hell.
Warning: There is some very, very grim human trafficking content.Onto the review: First, you have to put aside the fact that Sun is truly a thug and Jay is a manipulative tsundere CEO with a bunny fixation -- and that Bank (who is an actual murderer) doesn't end up in jail (tho' what happens to him is both pitiful and richly deserved.)
The Mafia leader was literally diabolical -- hard to watch. Reviewers have felt that his death was too easy but it was perfect - he thought he was invincible and it was his own repulsive over-indulged body that let him down.
So what is there to like? All the support characters are well written and acted. There was genuine human warmth in the story of Sun's relationships with people he unknowingly helped in the years he struggled to repay his loan shark debt. And in his very understated support of his colleagues (who became friends) in his showbusiness life.
And, though other reviewers have not agreed, I found the relationship between emotionally closed-down Sun and Jay (despite Jay's initial serious weirdness -- tho' this is explained as the series continues) to be convincing and well acted -- and, bunny shenanigans aside, super hot.

Sweet as Pie
Does everything have to be a groundbreaking BL landmark? Is the trope wildly original? Is there much NC content? No, no and no.Was it sweet as pie? Were the secondary characters useful for moving the character revelations and plot forward? Were the funny characters actually funny? Were the production values the expected Korean high standard? Yes, yes and yes!
The main couple were very sweet and believable (within the light romance BL mold) and it left me with a happy smile on my face.
Charming!

Cute, clever, funny - who could ask for anything more.
This was just so fun. Jiakai is a very sweet, slightly hapless psychic determined to always help people through his unusual power -- though his interventions are not always appreciated. Only Jiakai would think that stripping naked on a rooftop is the best way to prevent a person from 'final jumping'. During the rooftop episode he meets police officer Dawei who dubs him, considering his state of undress, 'Student Pervert.' Then their paths keep crossing during Jiakai's "rescue missions." where he uses his rather different psychic power. Both characters were well developed and fun - the romance was delightfully bumbling at first and very sweet when it got going.
This series just left me with a happy smile on my face

Wonderful introduction to BL world.
This was the first BL I ever watched. By the time I realized it was more than just bikes they were riding -- it was too late and I was hooked. I've watched all the Hall of Fame shows since then; but this still has a soft spot in my heart. There are faults with some hitches in writing, over broad characters and time progression and once-over- lightly treatment of serious psych issues. (And one seriously NC NC couple -- that was when I realized, "Hey guys this is not actually not a story about a family run coffee shop!)But all three of the brothers were so kind, the people they got involved with were all special and the whole family and community was warm and supportive. Pattaya where it's set is gorgeous. It's not a masterpiece but after a year it's still the BL series I love the most.
