He Yu was excellent in the movie and had great chemistry with EY. She can be a bit over the top with her cute acting but overall, she pulled her role off well I thought.

My two favorite C-dramas this year were The Immortal Ascension and The Vendetta of An. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick TVOA as the best drama of the year, just because the editing was so much smoother. TIA dipped towards the middle bc of the heavy editing and the removal of a bunch of episodes.

I agree. i thought it was so fresh and addictive when I first started watching it. Finally an ML that didn't act and look like a teenager and ZL was just outstanding. Also the plot was mature and sophisticated. After episode 19 it turned into a silly rom com. I am at episode 23 and will most likely drop it.

I think the point was for her to avoid killing him because of their past entanglements ... she did shoot that arrow at him that allowed the ML to deliver the fatal stab. So you could argue she got her revenge. But I agree, she did become a supporting character but I think the MCP did so in general since they had to tighten up so many threads in the end.
