Young actors who lose their careers over nothing have young fans who 'cancel' them. He does not.
Other than that he's pretty old so he's been in the industry for a long time. Why does it matter? Because he's got loads of connections. The fact that he got busted for pimping out young actress with a promise of getting a role says it all. He certainly doesn't lack power in this industry.
Furthermore he was kinda cancelled for about 5 years (2002-2007) judging from his filmography.
What's really crazy is that he got 160 hours (a month) of community work for it while you can see people go to jail for doing drugs or gambling.

I watched several of his past dramas and not one had truly bad script.
Till the very end I did not realize that the lead actress is PMY even though I watched multiple dramas with her before this one.
Anyways, great drama. It even aged well.
