Yes, finał few episodes.

But romance is never the main story.

First few episodes are too slow and depressing but after that it's pure gold.

Especially second female lead's character development. I thought it's gonna be "it's not her fault because XYZ" but the writers did nothing like that.

However, keep in mind it's a slice of life, a story of self improvement and facing life head on. Romance is not the main storyline.

I think leaving it at the new beginning is the point.

This drama is about not being afraid to live, to start over, to take risks, to self improve.

It's based on the premise that there is no end as long you live

Even though I watched it about 3 years ago I'm pretty sure they're together but just sneaking around.

It was a little low-key because it was shown at the beginning of the episodes and not the end.

I came here because of the reviews but damn, going through the first episode is so hard.

I skimmed through some scenes and this is like a parody.

When ML met the crazy girl he told her that he blocked her and smiled. Then got splashed, FL splashed her and called her ayi (阿姨, aunt).

I'm here after somehow watching 23 episodes wondering what I'm doing with my life.

Bro made her believe he chose to play dead with her for a month, ghosted her for years, told everyone to lie to her. It also turns out her family and friends have no brain of their own and went with it not once but every time she asks about him.

And yet here I am watching her chasing him, again.

I kinda want to drop it but at this point it feels like a waste so I came here to look for other sane people that this drama irritated af.

Anyways, thanks again for this review. I'm going to sleep since I finished writing this rant.

I had to check the cast so I could realize she's the same FL as Love Scout, OSN, etc.

I'd rather have no intro than this obvious AI segments.

Even though I skip it, it still irritates me.

Especially the ending. Episode was pretty good, I'm about to close it and the AI shows up...

Loved this short drama/long movie (4h total).

And I certainly don't think FL is a weak actress like the comment below. Quite the opposite.

- they fight before that in episode 6 when he finds out she's a fangirl
- it lasts like an episode or 2, nothing serious
- the drama kinda ends in episode 11, episode 12 is like a bonus episode with 1 year time skip

I mean, you've got a point but let's be honest.

Did you actually expected a show called Idol I to be an excellent law drama?

Furthermore, after first 2 episodes with no actual court scenes it was pretty obvious this is a light rom-com driven by a murder plot.

However, I would also prefer to see something more like I Hear Your Voice.

Unfortunately, we entered some quick flicks era with 12 episode kdramas that go as deep as a puddle. The plot is written around romance instead of writing romance along with the plot.

I blacklisted it at first because of the poster since I mostly watch modern dramas.

I tried but the comedy is mostly juvenile or just vile.

I mean am I supposed to laugh how ML tosses FL on the ground for no reason at all, how he calls her pervert in front of everyone all the time, how FL's aunt treats her as a money source.

Whatever, maybe it's just not for me but tbh this show is just making me sleepy.

Nice story, decent acting. I would love to watch something like that as a longer drama.

Btw FL has a different accent/dialect than usual cdrama or am I imaging things?

He made his life all about her.

She made an elaborate lie that forced him to go abroad. He ended up in unfamiliar place with no family or friends and it wasn't even his decision.
